Lucy Jarosz: Rain was leaking into my garden shed from the roof. Carlos diagnosed and repaired the leaks, which were coming from a number of different sources and were tricky to diagnose. His problem solving skills, experience, and professionalism are outstanding. He is one of the reasons I am a Gaspar Handyman Services customer.

I have the highest respect for their honesty and integrity.They are not the least expensive option out there for a large remodel, but they are the best and worth every penny. If we had chosen them early on, before trying out other contractors, we would have saved a ton of money overall and been much less stressed.I have rarely worked with companies that I can recommend wholeheartedly, without any reservations. Brendan Hannemann: I contracted with Gaspar's to install a steel mantel into tile above my fireplace. This work was the last remaining item of a multi-month gas fireplace conversion, and the fireplace company would not take it on due to risk of cracking the tile. Gaspar's informed me of the risk as well, yet was willing to give it a try.Turns out, it was porcelain tile which is much harder/denser and takes a specialized diamond bit to drill into without cracking. The Gaspar's contractor inspected the tile, found the correct bit, and performed the work with high level of professionalism. He even brought a gimbaled laser level to make sure the 58" mantel was installed level.After completing the work we had some extra time, so the Gaspar's contractor offered to do some small jobs around the house which I could think of in the moment, without any extra cost. He even showed me how to do them next time. Super happy with the finished work, and excellent service!

Gail Longhi: I had a small job - replacing the wood steps up to my front porch. Friends suggested a private handyman, but I chose Gaspar's because I knew I could trust their work for quality and efficiency. I am so glad I did.Their employee, Chris Bucklin, was terrific. He came with the experience to know exactly what needed to be done, and had the tools and equipment to do it. He went right to work, and never stopped. He not only replaced the steps, but the stair supports that were rotten. He was careful to save the wood that could be saved, and paid attention to the details that finish a job, i.e. bonding and sanding, patching imperfections, and caulking, gluing and reinstalling what he had been able to save. He cleaned up everything at the end of the day, and later had it hauled away and dumped. And, on top of that, he was personable, showing me the work, providing explanations and answering my questions.Gaspar's, and Chris were great.I would use both of them again without reservation, for any job I needed done.

It was a 6.5 month project.MRM was on budget and on time. They created a beautiful, functional new living space that blends seamlessly inside and out with the original home. There were very few hiccups during the remodel and when issues arose they were very responsive to our concerns and found solutions that worked for us. Therese Roberson: Five years later, still perfect.My family had Better Builders do an addition to our main floor, a main floor reconfiguration and a basement remodel to our house. The house was built in the 1950’s with 3 small bedrooms, 3 small closets, and a main floor full bath. The laundry was inconveniently located in the basement.The final result is our main floor now has a laundry room, the original full bathroom, two good sized bedrooms with big closets, and a master bedroom with en suite. Our daylight basement was finished for easy conversion to a legal ADU.The whole process was smooth. They stayed on budget and schedule. No gotcha’s. cindy ford: At the end of 2011, after interviewing several contractors for a potential remodel of our kitchen, bathroom and den, we contracted with Better Builders for the job. At that time Pete B. was the foreman for our project. They do exquisite work. Pete got to know our tastes and did extra touches. For example, we preferred the brushed nickel finish and Pete went the extra mile, using a wire scour to put that same finish on the shower curtain rod when it did not come in the finish we preferred. The work was finished in May 2012. The project still looks great and is holding up wonderfully after almost 10 years.Service:Remodeling
M D: We worked with Better Builders to add an addition to our 100+ year old home. It was a unique project and BB worked with us to determine a creative solution that seamlessly fits with the existing home.The COVID-19 pandemic hit mid-way through our project. BB was great at keeping us up-to-date with timing and making sure we were comfortable in the home while work was paused and could comfortably work from home when work continued. Highly recommended.

Some issues with the SHED but it all worked out and we are quit proud of it fitting in a small space with rigid city rules etc. Our next project is always with Better Builders. Oh, and twice asked them to help with small stuff and they stopped by that day to look and provided guidance. This team is an A+ team.
Lars Anderson: Better Builders was transparent in their approach, which I really appreciated. In the past I have sometimes felt like contractors size you up to see how much work they can get out of you but this was absolutely not the case with Better Builders. They were up front about my options and expected costs. They then completed the work with great professionalism but also friendliness, as my wife and kids felt very comfortable with them around our home. I can't recommend this business enough.
David Barei: Better Builders did a great job on my house after a windstorm. I needed some fence repairs and gutter work. Very responsive, timely, and quality work. Given the positive experience, I'm having them look at a few other exterior jobs that preceded the wind!
Becky Rule: Better Builders just finished structural work, kitchen/bathroom updates & added a covered deck for our home. The structural issues were tricky & three other construction companies had not been able to find a solution. Better Builders found an absolutely eloquent solution of vaulted ceilings that kept the structural wooden rafters exposed. Our house has truely been transformed! The team went out of their way to ensure our input was incorporated throughout the process and the overall cost was very reasonable. I could not have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend them!

We worked with Liran and Alan mostly, and the follow-up is so great. Almost a year later, and there have been a few minor fixes, but they've been following up and fixing anything that came up afterward. Can't really ask for more in terms of honesty and making sure their product is to a customer's satisfaction.

Donna Howard: I don't even know where to begin. Liran, the owner of Level Up, saved me from a disaster of a small bathroom/kitchen renovation I had started with another contractor. It quickly became apparent that this person was over their head, but by then my kitchen and bathroom were in a shambles and I was in a panic. Liran responded to my initial inquiry quickly and calmly, and came out within 24 hours to look at the project and give me his honest assessment. He was willing to tell me what the other person wasn't...that my 95-year-old house needed more than just the small job I had planned because there were problems with wiring, plumbing and code violations that were exposed as things had been removed. It felt very overwhelming, and this is where his vision and his demeanor came in really handy. He walked me through the process as we went, helping me to make decisions on design, colors and fixtures. He has a pleasant personality and is great to work with. He manages his own crew of plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc., so can keep things moving along. They all did excellent work and made sure I had all the information I needed to think of not only my current needs but also the next 20 years. And, most importantly, Liran was in constant contact with me, even when I left town for vacation, to make sure I was aware of what was happening and what the next steps were. What started as a nightmare of a project ended up being much less so due to the trust he allowed me to have in him and his team. I cannot recommend him enough.

The owner, Liran, is great at communicating and keeps things very organized. His people always showed up on time and things moved along smoothly. Every demolition, inspection, and installation went as planned. And if we had any questions about anything to do with the project, big or small, Liran was right there for us. Christine and Cici gave us a fair price, and was ready to start work the same week. Their crew came to work all day Saturday to have our project finished before Christmas. They were communicative throughout the project, messaging us every morning to let us know when their crew would arrive. Their work was excellent, and they were very respectful of our space and cleaned up their work at the end of each day. Even one of his crew asked us to work an extra hour one evening after everyone had left just to set up the morning crew in a better position for the following day. We even asked for additional work last minute at the end of our project and they were happy to accommodate us. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with them. Joan Williams: This was the best kitchen remodel experience we could have hoped for. We replaced our kitchen countertop and got a tile backsplash. CiCi was extremely responsive and when I visited the showroom to look at the samples, I was scheduled and no one else was in the showroom and we were both wearing masks. Very clean! Not a huge selection, but that is just fine for the value. We were able to schedule exactly the dates that we wanted which were only a few weeks out. The countertop demo and installation was extremely fast and clean--took only about 3 hours. I was very impressed by Feng and his partner, working quickly and efficiently and always wearing a mask. The next day, Sing, came in to do the tile and worked tirelessly all day. They transformed our kitchen in just over two days! We're very happy with the flawless process and very quick turnaround time.

We coordinated the specific details etc so we had no issues when it came to install. We scheduled dates which they executed and completed install. Keith Brown: My wife and I remodeled our kitchen. We ordered cabinets and counters. It was our 1st experience buying cabinets. We went in with little to no knowledge. Cici was very helpful and responsive throughout the process. The installers were very friendly and helpful. We were very happy with the end product and grateful that we went through Cici through the process. Our kitchen looks much better than we had envisioned when we started the process thanks to ABS and their wonderful staff.
Liz Koser: We placed our kitchen cabinet order in early March before Seattle businesses started to shut down due to COVID-19. We were going to pickup on March 30, but things were starting to change. ABS let us pickup earlier, so we could get our cabinets before the shutdown. In that time, we also decided to go with a white countertop instead of grey. Christine was very helpful in coordinating and helping us make changes to our order. In the end, we are happy with our cabinets and countertop. Their help was greatly appreciated.

Deanna Merkatz: I was referred to ABS for a kitchen remodel by a contractor friend that has used them several times for his kitchen projects. It was the easiest and most straight forward experience I had during my house remodel project. My husband and I walked in with measurements of our kitchen project, met Christine and she in just a few minutes had a full design ready. It was incredibly quick which is not the typical experience! There are enough choices that are trendy so it wasn't over whelming. The choices were the most up to date styles. I love the way they look and everything was perfect with measurements for my appliances. They only do standard cabinet sizes what is makes it so affordable. Everything was on time, they were great at scheduling and I would highly recommend them and use them again.
Marly: This is the second time we have used ABS to remodel a kitchen for us. Both times they have turned out beautifully. They are very reasonably priced. Christine has always been helpful with design and answering questions. The installers were courteous. We have several friends who have had their kitchens done by ABS as well. We are very pleased with our new kitchen.

Hunter Miller: of how I wanted to rearrange my house. They able to understand my terrible explaining of what I wanted to do but also offer so many suggestions on things I would have never thought of to improve my basic plan. My wife and I could not be happier with the outcome but their guidance through the entire experience is what truly blew our minds. Karen: We contracted J&M to remodel the wet room in our bathroom which included demo to the studs, moving plumbing, new floor and wall tile, installing a glass shower enclosure and plumbing fixtures. There ware some hick-ups with the initial work crew in addition them falling behind schedule. Once this was discussed with our project manager, Carlos Martinez, he brought a new crew in that worked diligently to correct and complete the project. The remodel project involved removing all existing appliances, cabinets, countertops, and lighting, and replacing with new ones, including tiling on the walls. I’m quite picky, and had lots of questions and feedback, but they handled it very well. Divven was great at customer service and planning. Rick was our project manager, and proved to be very personable and detail-oriented. Our kitchen turned out very nicely despite our very old and out of level house, and we often walk in and think wow! What a great kitchen! The project was on time and on budget, which I think speaks to the care that Built Square brings to their projects. I hope we can work with them again.
Jennifer E: Nathan and Enrique were a delight! We have just finished a large remodel on our Seattle home, and Built Square was absolutely the right choice for us. Nathan was so organized - much more than what we expected from a typical contractor. We had a standing weekly meeting with a printed agenda; he was always prepared for the meeting and knew the details of what we needed to cover; billing was clear and openly discussed; we had a printed calendar with the job stages on it; he provides a Google sheet to be sure finishes are selected and clear to everyone. Of course, mistakes are bound to happen during a large, 6-month job - and Nathan handled them with poise. He was honest and fair and clearly explained options for solutions.As important was Enrique, who was our lead on a daily basis on our job. Enrique was on-time, pleasant, the perfect amount of chatty, and completed work with the highest quality I could have imagined. He was kind to our dog and daughter and always beyond respectful of our home. I could not have imagined a more pleasant person to have practically living with us for 6 months!Our job finished on-time and on-budget, with the exception of increases in scope that we decided to do along the way.
