In my union, everyone takes a drug test just to take drugs right after. And by drugs, I mean pot.I would not want to work next to a drug addict. Not even a stoner. Winterdreams 66: DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO BASHER ALLEN FOX! Total fabricated write-up, as this is a quality family-owned business for the last 13 years. Possibly, Allen works for another drug testing clinic and is feeling the pinch. American Diagnostics is not a medical lab, but deals with an assortment of certified laboratories and pre-employment testing for walk-ins and employers. The place is as clean as it can be kept during a heavy volume day of testing. If any needles were brought in, possibly they were Allen's. Fully accredited and qualified with documentation visible to clients. Obviously, Allen disagrees with employers doing drug and alcohol testing - which keeps the workforce clean, responsible and accident and sick-call free. Actually, American Diagnostics Seattle has every right to sue Allen for defamation - but, probably no use to sink to his level. By the way, American Diagnostics Seattle has a vast assortment of repeated satisfied customers. Always a pleasure to deal with this facility - they go out of their way to help.

My instructors were truly top tier educators, and really cared about my success. I cant say enough positive things about my experience at Flatiron. I feel it gave me the boost I needed to change my life and launch into a new career with confidence and momentum.

Moreover, in my job search, I found many opportunities where my new skills were often in the required or preferred skills section of job descriptions. Being a Flatiron student requires dedication and hard work, but I promise it’s absolutely worth it! Flatiron also has adapted to virtual learning exceptionally well and creates a strong community among cohorts. I developed strong connections to my cohort mates and have worked with many of them on projects post-graduation. Speaking of post-graduation, Flatiron offers individualized weekly career counseling that has been invaluable during my job search.
Margarita Morozova: I graduated from Flatiron School's software engineering immersive program in December 2020. Due to pandemic the program transitioned from on-campus to remote learning. We had to be on Zoom every day 9 to 6. Our day would start with a group discussion summarizing yesterdays lessons, we would then move on to pair-programming, then there would be a lecture and then we would finish the day with working on labs.I came to the bootcamp with zero programing knowledge and in four months graduated as a full-stack developer totally confident in what I've learnt. Honestly I was a bit skeptical before I've started this program, I couldn't understand how one can learn so much in such a short time. But the program is super intense and the curriculum requires you to learn and practice new concepts every single day. Every new skill you are taught comes with it's own labs which require you to use the skill until it becomes second nature. I like that Flatiron teaches you not only specific languages and frameworks, but they teach you how to learn, which is a great skill to have in life in general and certainly an important skill for a software developer.A word about instructors; the instructors we had were top-notch, super knowledgeable and helpful, and could explain complex, unfamiliar technical concepts in a way which anyone could understand. Our instructors were super supportive and they motivated us to keep going. The school's support does not end at graduation. Everyone is assigned a career coach who supports you for next 6 months and helps you during your job search.
Steven Parsons: . I worked 50-60 hours per week, doing a bit of extra practice outside of the curriculum. I finished at the end of July. I spent the following 2 months working 40-50 hours per week on my job search, practicing for interviews, and studying. I applied to over 200 jobs. At the beginning of October, after a 2-3 week application process, I accepted an incredible offer to join J.P. Morgan as an entry level Software Engineer on the other side of the country
Alec DuBois: Attending Flatiron School has been one of the most valuable experiences of my life. The instructors, staff, and coaches are knowledgeable, attentive, and really care about the success of the students. Each module was like being plugged into the Matrix for a few weeks and then waking up like, "I know Rails." It takes skill to pull off teaching at this pace with this kind of quality, and Flatiron pulls it off.
Eli Tooloee: Attending Flatiron School is the best decision I've ever made. The instructors did a much better job teaching than university CS professors ever did, and they seemed to legitimately care about students in a way universities don't. Probably because Flatiron is actually dependent on you getting a job after graduation. The curriculum is also good, with high quality lessons and exercises, not at all like the horrible materials used in many CS courses. The only warning I'd give is be ready to work hard. Your brain will be tired. I got through a college STEM degree putting in about 40% effort, but that will not work at Flatiron. You cover so much material so fast that you can't afford to fall behind. If you're ready for that and they accept you, sign up ASAP. You'll be upper middle class by this time next year.
Don Mallory: The instructors and curriculum are perfectly suited to folks from all walks of life and experience levels. They ensure every student has the support they need to succeed in the program.
Andy del Valle: I couldn't have asked for a better experience! All the instructors and peers were all friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend Flatiron School to anyone wanting to start a new career in software engineering.

Andrew Matheny: I attended Flatiron back in October 2019 and it was a fantastic experience. The teachers were very knowledgeable and I learned a ton. They really prepared me for my first job in tech. The campus is also very nice and I got to meet and work with a lot of fantastic people.
Scott Slatton (Crossmine): .From my experience at Flatiron my wife also decided to pursue software development but due to COVID has had to go through Flatiron's online course. I will say that from seeing her work schedule it is just as great as the in-person course that I went through so I would highly recommend it if the campus is still closed when you are reading this.

Come the November rains it becomes nearly unplayable in a short period of time due to incredibly poor drainage. Bring your boots to walk around in the quagmire.Today is a great day! Peter Hummel: Took a two asymmetrical spinnaker course at Seattle Sailing Club. It was very helpful and I learned a lot.
Sean Walsh: was just right for getting opportunities to practice. It seems like SSC makes it possible to have a lot of opportunities to sail, even if you don’t own a boat and just want to connect with others who own or rent boats, which for people like us, unlikely to own a boat in the short term, is awesome. Highly recommended!
Anastasia Giannoulas: I did my ASA 101-104 with Seattle Sailing Club and had fantastic instructors the whole time. Graham did a great job during my 103 at explaining subjects in more detail building from the basics I got in 101, making it a comfortable class as I got my sea legs started. He was super chill, knowledgeable, and patient with us. Ruddy was my 104 instructor and really help drive the importance of what to do as captain of your own charter, how to make it successful and work through troubleshooting as issues occur. He has a wealth of knowledge about sailing many vessel types and engines, and could answer everything we wanted more information on. We all came away with new information and we all identified our gap areas to continue working on by the end. I am already planning to book a private course to continue driving in some of those learnings. I have really enjoyed working with SSC.
Aidan Lewis: Phil Johnson is a great instructor who is very patient with new sailors.
Judith Rubin: Fantastic sailing school, highly experienced, professional and proficient. Would highly recommend them as a school, for private lessons and as a club.
Tony Weber: Took the 2-day ASA 101 basic keelboat sailing class. Excellent experience. Chip was an excellent instructor. He explained things in a very understandable way. Out boat was in very nice condition. Once we were on the boat, he was extremely patient, which is a very underrated trait for an instructor. Particularly when one of us would make the same mistake over and over. He was also very willing on day 2 to let us find our our way to a degree and learn from our mistakes, but also to make suggestions when we needed it to keep up on track. Looking forward to 103.

Christine Stoffels: Seattle Sailing Club is the perfect combination of fun, enthusiastic and competent sailing lessons. Our teacher Graham, was kind, patient, and full of wisdom that he generously shared with our crew. We were all able to pass the test and have plenty of time trying each skill while out on the water. I have gone from sailing curious and timid to ready for the next class and more time on the water! I have had previous sailing lesson experiences that were very difficult and it had made me feel like I wouldn't be able to learn. I am now empowered, excited and ready to keep going! I can confidently sail, bare-boat charter a 40ft vessel and single hand sail with confidence thanks to this club.Now that’s a lot, so let’s chat. Once you do lessons/certs, join the club, you’re in essence, “borrowing” your best friend’s boat. You pay a fee for it, but the club takes care of the other stuff.B.O.A.T. Break out another thousand. Good old boat ownership. There’s a lot to owning, maintaining a vessel. Do the math! Moorage, maintenance, cleaning, launching, storing. That’s the club’s end. That’s one aspect of what the club is about. Again, once you can sail, understand & acknowledge what is required of you as the captain, it’s cake.Reserve a boat on-line, pick it up, sail, ENJOY. It’s that easy. Bring it back, dock it, tie her up, clean up your mess, return the keys, go home. I’ve sailed Poulsbo, Kingston, Bainbridge. All quick, fun sails. San Juan island charter for 4 nights. Holy Toledo.The fleet is good. 24footers, to 40 footers. Charter any of them. Don’t want to charter yourself, fine, do a club activity. Do group sails to Kingston, Bainbridge, etc. Learn racing if you want. Get involved! Wicked community. Great staff. Great instructors.My final words. If you take your certs. Sail, sail, sail. Don’t put it off! Burn into your brain what you’ve learned. Not 100% confident yet for a solo run, fine. Go with a mate. Pretend your single handing. Build your confidence. Know the weather. Practice what you’ve learned. Pass it on.Cheers
