Ted Brown Music: what do users think?

Aaron Kahn: Matt and his team run a great shop. He generously lent me a high-end Bach Strad trumpet at a very fair price and did so with consummate professionalism and support for my professional needs as I was waiting for my Shires horn to be repaired. I am truly indebted to Ted Brown and will trust them with musical needs I may have in the future!

winnie: Fantastic experience as someone who is disabled! I was unsure if I'd be able to play an instrument again but Nat was incredibly patient, helpful, and made sure I was comfortable. Really went above and beyond, thank you all!Parking lot was big and looked accessible as well- hard to find in Seattle.

Carter: , and having it moved from their Tacoma store to Seattle for me to try out. I was given a private room with the cello to try as long as I needed. All in all, a happy customer. Thanks TBM!

Delanie Montoya: Ted Brown is awesome. I had an old clarinet that needed everything replaced and it came back to me looking brand new! The turnaround time was also fantastic! The staff is super friendly and helpful!

Michael Zou: got my first guitar here and am very happy, staff are friendly and helpful and their products seem to be quality as well. i never review stuff but this place was a standout

Catherine: Got a great beginner’s guitar lesson!

chloe mai: ive had a great experience here. the three times I have ruined my trumpet this year ted brown's repair guy Tim was always reliable, fast, super kind, and very reasonable! the last time, I totaled my bell and one of the spit valves. I went to another repair place that I've heard great things about, and they didn't even take a single look at my trumpet. they just told me that they were lined up with appointments until a month later and that it would be $100. So ofc I went back to Tim and he fixed the whole thing for only $25! I was back playing again the next day. This guy really goes above and beyond. he doesn't try to fool or trick u into thinking that the fix would be hard and costly. hes super honest and straightforward. Ted Brown will always be our go to repair shop from now on.

Will Gross: Very friendly staff.

Lawrence Fosnick Davis: The service is excellent and if they don't have something they are happy to get it transferred from another store. We were there for a tux shirt for band and they were great.

Joshua Lang: Great customer service and support.

william Field: They have a lot of acoustic & electric instruments, sheet music , lessons & practice rooms.

Cary Emens: Great music shop with very informative and helpful staff. A great musical instrument destination especially in these times where a lot of music stores are closed.

Raul Robles: Very happy with my experience here! Found most everything I needed for band/wind ensemble-related activities. Also had to get my instrument serviced, and the technician and people working there went above and beyond my expectations. 10/10 would recommend

Neumos: what do users think?

Zach Warner: This was such an amazing concert, great atmosphere, full of friendly people of all ages!

Lukas Kucinski: I had a great experience here. The space is smaller than I was expecting, which I liked. The upstairs area is cool. Would recommend.

Patrick Ward: The best

Michael Perkins: Legendary venue that sells out frequently because they still bring it. The experience depends on the type of crowd, who the artist is. I've been a patron here since the 90's and have seen everyone from Sky Cries Mary to Nina Hagen to Gang of 4, Gary Numan, Meat Beat Manifesto, Brendan Perry of Dead Can Dance with Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins and so many more.

Torie Inman: Staff was helpful in finding ADA seating for our group. Hands got stamped so we could go in and out as we pleased. Kim Dracula played and the concert was great!!

The Trading Musician: what do users think?

Andrey Karayvansky: Great place! So sad they are closing out.

Eric Wardisko: ☠️ .R. I .P. ☠️👁️ It’s not gone yet but it will be by May 31.Get in there and put a few tears in the floor. This place shed the blood of my children with broken guitar strings and they shall never benefit from the sacrament of their suffering. A truly senseless and tragic closure. I will miss this place forever.

Ewan Hruska: Sorry that this store is closing for good very soon. They have been an amazing source for a lot of musical artists here in Seattle. Sad day when they close their doors for good. :(

Keala Milles: Nothing to say. This place is the best

Chey Costello: The best instrument shop in Seattle, and probably the country. Genuine expertise and kindness from the staff. We need more shops like this in the world.

David N Reno: Been going here since I was 13, and always dig the selection 🤘❤️

Poor Premenstrual Darling: Got a beautiful guitar and they even accessorised it! Shame they are closing 😓💔

Charlotte Alexander: I love this store so much! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The prices seem fair and reasonable. A true Seattle gem.

Steve The Mechanic: For you Drummers., need parts for your kit, here is your place

Kevin Cameron: A nice spread of use, esoteric instruments and electronics. Friendly, helpful staff. Parking on side streets off Roosevelt.

Dan Becker: One of my favorite used instrument stores of all time. Definitely the one I've spent the most time in and bought the most gear from. So long and thanks for all the fish, gang - you'll be sorely missed, and fondly remembered.

Sherry Fan: this store has consistently great prices and amazing, personable staff!! save trading musician please :’(

Sonia Mo: Thank you for all the fun visits, cool gear, funny spec descriptions and the Black Metal tapes!

Orbit Audio: what do users think?

Scott Townley: I’ve ever spent work time in !!! - SCT

Jon Cash 1000: "Orbit Audio in Seattle was an incredible experience for my recent recording session. Robert, the engineer, brought an awesome vibe to the studio. Despite walking in without any concrete song ideas, the energy and creativity flowing between us led to a fantastic 5-hour session where we recorded two tracks. Robert's skill and professionalism were evident as we effortlessly vibed and captured the essence of the music. The outcome? Two dope tracks that exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Orbit Audio and Robert for any artist looking to elevate their sound in a welcoming and productive environment."

Susy Liceaga: My bandmate and I met up in Seattle to record vocals. We had two awesome sessions engineered by Robbie Houston that were amazingly productive! The studio is very well equipped and the collaboration went so smoothly that I could just relax and have fun singing. At the end we spontaneously decided to record some instruments too. Definitely one of our best experiences as a band ever!

Josh Akers: This place was awesome. We got to experience both the temple and orbit, and both were amazing places to record. Joe was awesome to work with; patient, insightful, and helped us refine our songs to bring out the best. LiquorJacket can't wait to record here again.

Melissa Finder: .They have the space and set up for a large bands/projects as well as vocals and small groups.Highly recommend!

Elaine Eagle: studio at Joe and his wife’s home. From the very beginning, through emailing, phone calls, meeting in person, to recording- all the way through the process of recording my music, Joe was incredibly thoughtful, easy to work with, and professional. He really cared about my music and that care made it easy to trust him with my songs. He would make suggestions and pushed me to make the songs the best they could be. He truly saw my vision for the music and delivered it. I am so excited to get to work with Joe again in the future!

The Real Ronnue: I have had nothing but success here. What I was looking for was a studio who helps to produce a great end product along with a engineer who knows their stuff who has a great attitude ! I found it with Orbit and their engineer Robbie! I am extremely happy 😊.

Elisha: Amazing. Joe is absolutely wonderful and very professional. Only the highest quality comes out of this studio. The environment that Joe fosters is welcoming, warm, and familiar in the best way. I highly recommend getting in touch!

Robbie Houston: Orbit is super awesome. Amazing experience every time.

Therapybynature: Thank you so much Zach! 💕☺️This was definitely a smooth & awesome experience.🧚🏿‍♀️I can’t wait to go back! I want to go back 🤣I felt so comfortable. I’m going back. 😎

Gayle Cloud: Joe was amazing to work with. His talent and input gave my song wings. I truly appreciate Joe and hope to return to Orbit Audio to record more!

A Brooks: Just moved here from Texas, and I found a new home with Orbit. Zach has mix and mastered all of my tracks. He's easy to work with, punctual, and considerate to what the artist wants the track to sound like. So if you're every in Seattle, check out Zach @ Orbit Studio.

Eric Morgan: For quite some time now I have been searching for a good recording studio around Seattle then I stumbled on Orbit Audio, read the reviews and got positive feedbacks from other clients then decided to go in. I called Joe, who then set me up with Zach the master engineer. I had a recording session with Zach who deployed a magnificent process in the school of recording which at the end I got a masterpiece from Zach...truly he is a genius. So, don't look any further if you have a recording project, just head to Orbit Audio then you will be smiling all out like me.😀

Jonathan Pullen: and he's very good at helping musicians find their best moments for when the tape is rolling. He's also a fun guy to hang out with between takes.Orbit itself also a great facility, with everything from a genuine 2" 24-track to the latest high end A/D. As a keyboard player I especially enjoy the beautiful Hammond B3

T Provo: COMING BACK ASAP! Zach was our engineer and he made the whole experience flawless. He was able to create our vision and gave constructive feedback on how we could make a banger 🔥 thanks again, Zach!

Fiona Dawn: Recorded some awesome vocals in a quick and professional set up organized by Zach at Orbit Audio. He was phenomenal at mixing and mastering my vocals for my own song, and he helped me find a guitarist within days to do a live sessions together. Highly recommend and will record again with the team when I'm back in town!

The Triple Door: what do users think?

Anessa C: The venue was very intimate and jazzy. If you are looking for a venue to hold a classy event like the one I went to, this would be great. Acoustic was vibrant.

Katelyn Peden: great staff, helped me find something i left behind by mistake at the show, and service was great.

Trixie Williams: Hostess was wonderful, and it was a nice restaurant. Service was a little slow, but it could have been due to the large party near us. Food was delicious.

Joe West: Fun place. Unique venue. Seen several comedians and different shows there. Always good service with reasonable prices. cheap parking next door.

Annie Hrachyan: Absolutely loved the music! Cyrille Aime and Mathis Picard were simply phenomenal, very talented and bringing so much joy to the performance.

Off the Wall School of Music: what do users think?

Rachel Knecht: My son went to Off the Wall for over two years for guitar and really loved it! Nick taught him so much and was always thoughtful and in-tune to what my son was interested in. I also loved the office staff! They were always so helpful and quick to respond to emails and texts. Highly recommend for any level. They meet the students where they are at and I couldn’t have been happier with our experience.

Yanhua Chen: We are with Off the Wall School of Music for over six months and we are very happy with it. My both kids are learning piano from Mr. Reuben. He is an amazing piano teacher, very knowledgeable and patient!

Sage Stevens: Awesome teachers for all ages, great facilities and opportunities to perform at good venues. We've had a fantastic experience at Off The Wall

Jen D: We have had nothing but positive experiences with Off the Wall in person and online for lessons. Both our kids especially love having Matt Moore for drums - he's engaging, encouraging, and just simply rad as a teacher.

Eve Lake: Our 5 and 7 year old love their piano lessons with Tatyana. Highly recommend!

gtberg: I'm so happy to have found Off the Wall. Awesome place to not only take lessons, but having access to practice rooms is wonderful for me and those students who don't have a piano yet. Chris was very welcoming when I came by for the first time.

Sarah Mahoney: Best place in the city to learn an instrument. Plus, these top-notch practice pianos are available for use outside of lesson times. Friendly and clean environment.

Patti Feavel: I bring my dreams to Off the Wall. They seem to be just dreams. But then staff take them and help me to walk those steps to make my dream happen. My teacher, Caleb, teaches me with so much warmth, good humor, and solid advice so that I will stay encouraged as I meet each challenge and master each accomplishment. I am so impressed, while I am waiting for my lesson in the lobby, at the warmth and joy that staff extend to each child, family member, and adult aspirant. They encourage us all to revel in the joy of music. I am 67 years old and I am thrilled to fill out my life with grounded practice and all the help I need to understand what I am wanting to accomplish. And yes, my dream: I want to be able to accompany myself while I sing standards. My very secret dream is to play at a bar regularly for one hour before happy hour when there are not that many people around. I will pretend that I am Dooley Wilson in Casablanca singing "As Time Goes By."

Dan Roberts: I have had a fantastic experience with Off the Wall! I was searching for a piano teacher to expand my musical horizons - I have played brass instruments at a "strong amateur" level for many years, and wanted to learn keyboard to get better at theory and improvisation. My teacher Caleb was wonderful. He was quickly able to hone in on what I wanted out of lessons, and what I needed to do in order to get there, allowing me to set my own pace and giving me just the right level of direction, motivation and accountability. I am so much stronger musically as a result. Thanks Caleb, and thanks Off the Wall!

Mia Esther: Off The Wall School Of Music is an awesome community to be in. All the teachers are so friendly. Your music life will change for the better. I had a bad experience in Middle School but it changed forever in Highschool. Most students don’t like seeing this black and white they rather have color coded like i did from the last 5 years with being with the whole school. All the staffs are trying to spread by saying that we want our students to love music and maybe in a band. I want to thank my good friend Chris Marx.

Lillian Morris: This is heaven in a place. I have gone to camp here twice every year since I was eight and I can't express in words how magical this school is. It's amazing to be in a place where everyone is there to learn and have fun. It's obvious no one is there to hurt anyone. Everyone that works there is so fabulous I can't imagine a better place. If you can imagine this really doesn't sum up how amazingly awesome this school is. They have taught me to love music!

Amanda Capella: . We've been attending lessons for about a year or so and also participated in the summer rock band camp this year. He had so much fun! Every day was playful and exciting for him. This business has definitely shaped my son's appreciation for music, and I know it'll be a memory in his heart he'll never forget.

Kristina Simpson: We just started drumming and piano lessons for my kids and already they are learning so much!! Super friendly, energetic teachers who are clearly passionate about music.

Jake Escobar: I grew up learning at Off the Wall, and they helped me kickstart my musical career. A+, highly recommended.

Dimitriou's Jazz Alley: what do users think?

Byron Mayo: I recently saw Peobo Bryson and it was amazing l will become a regular for now on.

W Yim: Best jazz place in the Seattle area. The ambience of the place is fantastic and has a cozy high class vibe to it. Sound quality was excellent and the performers are not too far no matter where youn sit.

Dee W.: This place is such a gem. Surprised my husband for a date night and he had such a great time. The veggie lasagna is a must try. The drinks a bit pricey but tasty. Rob was super nice and welcomed us back anytime.

G'ESI CA: My birthday dinner was fantastic! Waitstaff was more MIA than I expected. Event was on time and Peabo Bryson's performance was really good. There was a bit of patron drama when a guest's hair ignited! It lead our group to speculate that drama may have prevented a Peabo encore--especially if the song would have been "Feel the Fire."

Peter Bellows: . Dinner was good

DHolly J: Saw Gerald Albright, he was fantastic and so was the food!

Heather A Adams: This venue is absolutely stunning! It just feels cool and luxurious and the sound is crystal, very impressive. A gem of Seattle for sure.I've had the pleasure of seeing my dear friend Darliene Parker sing with the legendary King of Sax Maceo Parker here on two occasions and it never disappoints. We usually have dinner somewhere in the area and do drinks at Jazz Alley before the show. This means you might not be as close to the stage but when I say no seat is a bad seat at Jazz Alley I mean it!THE BEST PART: FREE PARKING in their covered parking garage right around the corner. Bring your parking tickets for validation.Easy entry, no refunds but easy transfers!Hot Tip: The Bar Stools facing away from the stage have no backs and low feet rungs for short people so keep that in mind. Otherwise it's a fun place to sit.Late April 2024 We took in an incredible night of music with The Willie Jones III Sextext, they tore it up but when Christie Dashiell came on to sing?! Woo, we couldn't EVEN!! She's incredible. I Love celebrating Black excellence/culture.

Laughs Comedy Club: Good music and food!

Wayne Riley: . Would love to see the club step up to fine dining with farm to table, what a huge opportunity.[04/28/2024] - I need to update my earlier review. The food and menu have definitely improved IMHO on our last few trips. My hat is off to the club for that. The acts, atmosphere and sound continue to be top notch, it is nice to see the food improving. Keep it up!

Russell Dillingham: This place was freakin' COOL. The atmosphere was exquisite, and that gorgeous Steinway piano on stage is to die for. Not to mention the outstanding food. Even my wife, who's not super into jazz, had a delightful time. Can't wait to come back.

Brooke: i found out that i am probably not the biggest fan of jazz but the ambiance and food were such an incredible experience. if you decide to go to a show i would really go all out and eat dinner as well!

Ricardo Edmondson: Nice venue to enjoy jazz.Food and drinks were just fine and we enjoyed our evening there.

Dani McDonough: Jazz Alley visit was excellent. We heard epic jazz music , ate excellent cuisine, and had yummy drinks. Ten out of ten recommend!

Manuel Pimentel: Awesome venue for great music and entertainment. Great atmosphere!

Donny Oluokun: Great atmosphere and staff. It's the new spot to go chillax!

Thierry Deroff: I saw Kenny G for new year's and was definitely awesome. The venue was perfect, small but definitely not cramped, and provided a great view from all seats. The food was excellent too, I would actually go back just for it, regardless of the actual event, it was that good!

Emerald City Guitars: what do users think?

Kyle Caraway: Great customer service. This is what guitar shops are supposed to look like, and even smell like. Reminds me of music stores back when I was a kid. Was passing through town w less than an hour to kill. Stepped in to check out the shop. What a great vibe and the staff was super friendly. Would love to be able buy something more than a t shirt next time. Highly recommended.

Wasabi Samba: Jay and Liz have helped me several times with a supportive and kind attitude! Thank you! Love this place.

Hunter Preston: Guitar heaven, awesome folks

Lotte Off: This is a good all around guitar store and seems to be one of the last ones. It's behind the locked metal gate, just ring the bell. Have many good accessories as well.

Jordan Lamb: This is one of my favorite guitar stores in the country! These guys know their stuff and are so cool and accommodating. Much love 🙏

Ian F: Beautiful store with tons of vintage gear. Friendly employees. A pleasure to walk in and shop. Came all the way from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to see it and was not disappointed.

Guitar Center: what do users think?

Max Kim: Awesome employees! Very nice and knowledgeable.

Andrey Karayvansky: were super helpful!

Frank: Best

Bouala Keopraseurt: I went here during the day and towards closing. It's pretty busy during the day and staff are everywhere and helping customers. And then there's closing.... Not as many workers, but they didn't seem to care bout the customers, unless the customers was going to buy something. They only ask " how they can help you " once and that's it... I thought it was really rude and unprofessional. My advice is go during the day if you're needing/ wanting help with your music stuff.

JamesDAAH: Great staff. Very helpful.

George Alderette: Best Guitar Center in WA State. Knowledgeable, helpful and Outstanding Customer service and support. Inventory is well maintained and always organized ensuring a great shopping experience.

juan montealegre: Had the pleasure of being assisted by Lizzy, who was proficient and dedicated, had an intimate knowledge of the features and selling points that make a purchase relevant; and even pointed me to a guitar that I wasn’t planning on buying and through objective demonstration convinced me to get a guitar that I am now TEN times more excited to get.Super friendly and patient staff, clean and organized store and really fun to roam around and get lost in it.You guys rock!

Poor Premenstrual Darling: The beautiful man who works here gave me brilliant and thoughtful advice 🙏

Suraj - Progressive Comfort Solutions: These folks are so great. Ryan in the guitar department is the man. So so helpful. Also, the Store Manager Tyler was extremely helpful and gracious. They folks know their stuff and really care!

Delina Valadez: It was friendly service

Spencer: Employees were very welcoming and helpful. Definitely makes me want to come back, thanks!

Alyda O'hUigin: Helpful staff and great selection of instruments and music

The Showbox: what do users think?

Kevin Warner: Beautiful venue for music.

Devin Haaser: I always a appreciate when a venue has an appropriate sound quality. Not only were the staff amazing. The sound syatem they had was enjoyable. This was my first of many times going to Showbox!

jason yen: Nice theatre for bands and such. Acoustic are better at the downtown location, rather than the sodo location. The sodo location’s acoustics is garbage. I went to see The Bronx at that location and left midway through since it sounded so bad.
