The vibe downstairs is why I return, which is essentially the same as when it was under different ownership as Capitol Cider. The vibe change to the upstairs feels like generic millenial rebranding and clashes with what the downstairs is. Also, Capitol Cider was just a better name. Ty Hen: Found on Alaska mileage plan, and decided to indulge my pastry tooth after seeing they had lemon bars. Bars were decent(crust was a bit undercooked; crumbly and bland, not buttery or flaky. Lemon vanilla donut was soft and tasty, just a tad pricey for the size. Were out of a bunch of drinks on the menu, or didn't have them. The girl working wasn't clear. She wasn't unpleasant. She was very polite, just seemed distracted and a little perturbed, like something had occurred earlier and she wanted to get home. Clean establishment, but the decor wasn't welcoming. I may or may not be back.

Everyone thought the food ranged from B+ to A+.The so-so news: All 3 of us ordered espresso drinks. We were told straight up it was a latte or nothing. My husband asked about a double shot straight and the barista said, fine. It was a pretty slow Sunday, we must have waited 10 to 15 minutes for 2 double shot lattes which were meh.Also, it looks like they just opened, which isn't true at all. They had 3 chairs & 3 little tables inside, when they clearly could have had double that inside, and there were 2 tables outside with a few more seats. I'm sure the excuse is well--COVID, but they could do better. But double thumbs up for take away!Dietary restrictions: This is a great find if you know someone with celiac disease. It's so great just to them finally relax and enjoy themselves because there's no gluten!Parking: If you know the area, 15th near the hospital, parking's tight, but we have a disabled parking pass, and there's a spot a block or so away for vehicles with disabled permit holders. Not fantastic, but it's Capitol Hill.
Bicky Nguyen: Amazing hand pies! Delicious baguettes, donuts were pretty good but a little on the sweet side. Highly recommend it!! The staff member was very friendly, talkative and informative. He recommended an amazing cafe for us, as they only serve drip, coffee and espresso. Lots of great recommendations to go to. Will definitely return if I'm ever back in Seattle! Vedran Brozović: A very nice place to grab a drink after work or to get dinner with friends.Tips and impressions:* It is a good idea to call in and reserve in advance to book a table.* It is on the pricier end with the $30-50 range for a meal, but I did enjoy the steak here.* Service is great but you might need to remind them that you ordered a drink if it's busy.* Also, keep in mind it's pretty noisy and you might have a hard time hearing other people. Good if you like the feeling of a bustling place though.Would recommend visiting and a great choice for after-work dinner and drinks.

Chris E: First time visiting, during a trip to Seattle. We stopped in for happy hour. We were able to get a table outside. This restaurant is located in the Edgewater Hotel, on the northern end of the Seattle waterfront area. Happy hour prices for drinks are a couple dollars off. And they have a limited food menu. I ordered the wagu sliders, which came with garlic fries. Both were very good, in my opinion. And made a good meal. The weather was fantastic, so that made the experience even better.

At this point its been more than 20 minutes and the wind had picked up so me and girlfriend just walked up to the reception area and waited for someone. For a total of $100+ and $20+ per dish, it was not worth it, considering the lack of service we received.

Marina: Been here twice for special occasions. Most recent was a birthday dinner with four people.The atmosphere is very nice and multiple servers per table ensured the drinks kept coming.They work on a whole animal approach meaning the cuts of meat run out as the dinner service continues. So if you want all the cut options make your reservation for early dinner.This is a fun place for special occasions.

Food was excellent and well thought out, steaks were cooked to perfection, and wine choices were superb. We went for my mothers birthday and they gave her a small candle and a hand written card. Staff wished her happy birthday and were nothing but kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. There were so many thoughtful touches to our meal it made the night truly special. This is hands down the best restaurants in Seattle.

David Silvestain: One of the most memorable meals I’ve enjoyed anywhere. Violet is a cozy, welcoming environment that belies the culinary genius serving this great restaurant. We enjoyed multiple courses watching the chef work his art in the kitchen. He created the best lamb dish I’ve ever eaten. Upon remarking when noticing one of the beautiful dishes he was creating for his tasting menu, the chef brought one to the table for us to enjoy. In every aspect you can sense the love and passion that goes into this experience. My highest possible recommendations. We can’t wait to return!
Brenda Tincher: Six of us went to Violet for a friend's birthday dinner and we all had the tasting menu with wine pairing. I didn't pick the location, but was excited to try Violet. I understand why Violet has a reputation because the wine pairing and service was excellent. The food was prepared competently, but I was underwhelmed by the menu. I feel like Violet is resting on its laurels at this point. A tasting menu is supposed to offer an unusual or special experience or allow the chef to show off a bit. But, there was nothing innovative or seasonal about the courses. One scallop in a broth? Nothing special about that scallop except how lonely it was. I liked the belgian waffle with fois gras, but I have issues with restaurants serving unethical food. Same for the blue fin tuna we were served which is endangered. The little piece of lamb with two asparagus spears on pureed potatoes was delicious, but its pretty much standard fare at this point. For the $200 I paid, I'd really hoped to come away more impressed and delighted.

As shared in the reviews, the service was friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. We were there for my friend's birthday and they greeted us with sparkling red wine, which was a delightful way to start and made the occasion feel as special as it was from moment one. The cocktails were wonderful, too.A bonus is that we could HEAR each other - the background music was just that and the acoustics handled the noise well.I'd definitely go back.

This fine dining gem has upscale food in a cozy setting -- just the perfect balance for Seattle. The menu features a variety of truly expertly prepared dishes by Chef William, but standouts for me are the octopus, fois gras, and of course the Joel Robuchon potoates. The scallops are a revelation. The newly added tomahawk is an absolute classic -- perfect for two people, get it... you won't regret it. The American Omakase is exquisite -- worth every single penny -- and do yourself the favor of getting the wine pairing -- it's truly an incredible culinary experience! The service is always extremely friendly and knowledgeable; don't be intimated at all to ask for recommendations and give a price point to work in -- they are not judgey or snobby at all and truly want you to have the best night ever. And the cocktails.... always a win!!!

I have dined at Violet several times, and it's the food, the service, and the atmosphere that keep me coming back. I can't imagine that anyone would argue about the excellence of the cocktails or the thorough wine list. But I did here. Everything from the first drink to the last dessert was fantastic. Food was fresh, seasonal, perfectly cooked and had both familiar and fun new flavors. The servers were fantastic too, being warm and attentive.The other great thing about Violet is the price. This level of quality at the price point is rare, and I really appreciate them bringing this type of food to more people. I can't wait to come back!

Gwendolyn Jeffers: I had the absolute best experience at Charlotte restaurant and lounge. Once we got up to the 16th floor and found the restaurant, the hostess gave us a warm welcome and we asked her if there’s anyway we can sit by the windows and she sat us at a wonderful table with a stunning view. Timoteo was our server and his service was phenomenal. He gave wonderful suggestions regarding the menu and even went as far to write down some spots we should check out in the Seattle area before we leave. He’s very knowledgeable and extremely hospitable. Food was delicious, ambiance was amazing and service was excellent. Highly recommend!

But you’re paying extra for the view and the building, really. I’m pretty picky, especially with food, and I thought everything tasted great and I would return in the future.Went back for drinks and dessert a few weeks later and we were blown away by the desserts. This restaurant is a must visit if you want to get wined and dined.

The process of making an appointment was smooth, and on the day of the appointment we were seen on time. The nurses and doctor were friendly and professional, and by the end of the visit we had a diagnosis and plan for treatment.
