Seattle Bouldering Project, Poplar: what do users think?

Matthew: Seriously the best gym there is. It has to be one of the best climbing experiences in the world. Highly recommend

Sarah Damon: My fav location of Bouldering Project in Seattle! This one has super friendly staff, very fun routes and an overall very friendly and community based vibe. Love it

Purple Hour Worldwide: huge and the staff is always hella nice. you save on chalk too since they supply it. its the little things ✨

Abhay Raj: What an amazing place! I bouldered at SBP for many months before my move to the EU. Great memories of this place. I loved how spacious it was, the routes and the diversity in classes available. The staff are a fun bunch too. I have been lucky enough to boulder in gyms across many countries, and SBP remains my favorite climbing gym thus far. I also think its very high value -- you get a lot for what you pay. Keep doing what you are doing SBP! Seattleites - Cherish this gem.

Grace H.: Great climbing gym and social place.

Andy James: A premier indoor climbing facility!

Wesley H: Staff here has been really nice. The crowd here is young so sometimes I feel out of place but everyone here is really nice. Its really busy during the weeknights but its still manageable. The place is huge. My kids have been enjoying the walls as well.

Rodger Caudill: Good gym. 👍

Aneka Zarger: Seattle Bouldering Project was a delight to visit. Having been to other Bouldering Project chains, I had high hopes for this gym. I was incredibly impressed with the vibes, the staff, the holds, and the volumes. Super impressed switch the children’s area as well. Definitely worth a visit for climbing enthusiasts!

Megan Brown nydegger: Great kids classes!

Ben Johnson: Always great

Emily Glanz: Really tall walls, really fun climbs.

Matt: for about half an hour. Then the staff took our group to some easier walls on the main floor that were reserved for our group. The staff were friendly and did a great job helping the kids learn to climb. Every kid had a great time. The parents were pretty happy too because with the separate climbing areas for our group, we didn't have to hover over our kids to prevent them from disrupting everyone else who was climbing.

Jeff Young: Staff friendly, great walls and gym upstairs.

Momentum Indoor Climbing SODO: what do users think?

Satyajit Patil: Clean gym. Friendly staff who set great routes which regularly change. A gem.

BreeAnna Lasher: Great climbing gym. Very nice people. Love the routes they set. Not very crowded at all

Lily: . The place also had a hand washing station outside of the restrooms. There was hand sanitizer located in multiple places. There are lockers

Alex DeGrave: in addition to the production boulders. Friendly staff and good vibes.

Brandon Shewbert: Great gym for all ages and abilities. Amazing environment and well suited to help anyone who wants to learn how to climb. My family went and had a fantastic time. I can't recommend this gym enough.

Harry Nguyen: Love the cleanliness, friendliness and clever route setting at this gym!

Devin Bradford: Gym is never very crowded. Always a good time.

Nathan: Really fun gym! Has great routes with a wide variety in skill level. They always have at least one slab climb too which is awesome. Climbers here are really nice and children aren't allowed to be disruptive or unruly unlike other gyms I've been to. Membership benefits are great as well, far better than I've seen anywhere else, especially with renewing guest passes. Definitely a great place to call a home gym.

Chad O'Grady: Nice clean, new gym. Not the biggest fan of the modern style of setting there. But they made up for it with a good training area and a huge kilterboard.

Mitch Lorberau: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueBest setting and great facility!

Smartmomma: This is our favorite bouldering gym for the whole family. In the climbing world, we are unabashedly nubes, but Momentum is a place without a hint of arrogance. At Momentum, friendly staff and talented climbers share warmth and knowledge with v0-1 climbers, whose soft hands and measly forearms are about to get a wake-up call. Highly recommend!

Miyar Adventures: what do users think?

tb woods: The company was easy to deal with and shipped quickly. Also, great pricing. I give them a 5. But I give the product I purchased, the Thule Epos II bike rack, a 2 star because it is very subpar. There are several good features like it folds up and is lighter than most so easier to install. And it tilts down easily and holds two heavy bikes in the tilted position with no problem. The rack also tilts up to be flopped up against the vehicle but there's no latch in that position so it can advance further and hit your vehicle and scratch it or will flop down. Flipping up is just useless. The ramps that I bought as an accessory are a joke. I can't imagine them not breaking after repeated use putting a bike on the rack that weighs 70 lb that the rack is sized for. Also, you literally need two people to hold the bike on the rack as you fasten it because it tends to want to drift one way or the other due to the way the wheels sit on the sloped supports. I would not buy this rack again.

Steve “Swanee” Swanson: purchased osprey pack- best price- good shipping- carbon offset option. Solid company, fair prices- great to do business with. Hope they don't get swallowed up by some giant.

Sandi Poyer: The ordering was easy & I had no problems finding what I was looking for. Being shipped from Seattle with a destination of Florida I figured it would take forever for my purchase to arrive. The package arrived on time & I’m thrilled with the outcome.

Charlene Conilogue: I placed an order for a pair of shoes for a European trip and after 3 weeks had not yet received them. Jake at Miyar resent my order and I received them in only a few days. Thanks so much Jake!! 5 star customer service for sure!

Kim: Purchase binoculars from Miyar for a lower price than any other store I saw online. They were shipped out quickly and binoculars are amazing. I would recommend this business and will use them again.

Noah Silverstein: They have really good sales. I bought a brand new Osprey bag for almost half price. Shipping came quick and this store is legit.

Julie G: Recently bought an Osprey Ace 50 pack for my son. Found it here for the lowest price, and available when sold out elsewhere. Shipping was free and FAST! Received our order in days! Will be returning to this site to order more in the future.

Paul Turley: Excellent prices and fast free delivery

Jay Beard: I recently purchased an Osprey Farpoint travel pack directly from Miyar Adventures. Their service was excellent and their price beat the world's largest marketplace by 20%!! I highly recommend giving Miyar Adventures an opportunity to provide your outdoors gear & clothing needs rather than defaulting to the largest online retailer.

Steven Bomont: Miyar offered great technical information on the great snowshoes I bought from them, they had great pricing and shipping was much quicker than I thought it would be. Quality and professionalism from start to finish!

Seattle Bouldering Project, Fremont: what do users think?

Michael Choe: A lot of fun unique climbs

BreeAnna Lasher: Great gym. Love the sets here. All the routes are always so fun and challenging. The range setting really encourages me to try routes I wouldn’t think to. No one at the front desk is very friendly here but it’s a great gym none the less. I’ve taken several classes and the instructors were all very helpful. Milo and some guy named Alex or maybe Derek I don’t remember. Very informative.

Chad O'Grady: Very large bouldering gym. Good training facilities and a nice atmosphere.

Steven Baz (Bazu): Would have given 5 stars but I just saw one of the employees climbing with his Crocs on and not climbing shoes. Kinda grossed me out cuz 15 min later I saw him go into the men's bathroom to replace the paper towels. Second time I saw an SBP employee climbing in Crocs. Are they too cool for shoes?

Jordan Gertje: Love LOVE this climbing gym. Staff is friendly, the place is clean, great amenities, love the setting at Bouldering Projects. Just an overall lovely climbing gym and atmosphere. However, the parking here is so bad right now because of multiple giant construction projects on the block. Plus, Seattle City Parking comes around every day, evening and night and will get you with a ticket because they know the parking is atrocious. Or the neighbors in the surrounding neighborhood will come out and yell at your parking. Between 4:30p-7:30p it is really difficult to park within a 3 block radius of the gym.

Nate Tepp: I called to make sure I could bring my 3 year old in the climb and they were open. I was told yes. After driving 45 minutes and paying for parking I show up and they’re closed for a private kids birthday party. The woman at the front desk took no accountability and basically said oh well deal with it.Two days later I received an email from Naomi Tran, the program manager at the facility. Naomi provided me with exceptional customer service and proved that, while mistakes can happen, it is what a business does to make things right that matters as none of us are perfect. I look forward to returning to the facility with my son to try it out and climb.

Aidan McLennan: Really great gym just a lot of people, but it honestly wasn’t an issue. Routes were super fun and challenging, with many types of holds.

Reed Grandt: Incredible vibe.

Jac Chambers: Great gym but parking can be a genuine nightmare if it’s busy.

Travis Osland: Pros: super creative and varied routesetting that almost always gets me thinking, pretty frequent resets, nice area upstairs to do work during the day, solid training area and free weights, helpful staffCons: can be pretty crowded from 530-830 pm but the upper walls helps with that, no water fountain downstairs near the work out area is kind of annoying, the workout area is a bit lacking in machines, tension board holds could use a good cleaningOverall: I love this gym though and am so thankful to live nearby ❤️

Uplift Climbing: what do users think?

sophia Lindstrom: This was a great gym and I had a great experience, but I would not say this is a beginner gym. It seems like it’s really built and loved by people who have been Climbing for a while. I don’t want to trash on the gym because it is a great place, However, I wouldn’t start your Climbing journey here. I would work your way up at the Seattle bouldering project or other gyms, then start coming to this.

Vepa Polatov: This is a first impression review. I will update it after a while. This gym is quite small but might have the same amount, if not more, mid-level fun boulder problems than other, bigger gyms. Most people climb in the v4-7, and those are the most common grades here. The setting is very dense on the overhung side as well, great spraywall potential. The grades are mostly on the softer side, pretty typical. They have 2 system boards. To the owner: your 2024 moonboard set and the tension board 2 are huge selling points, please include that on the gym website, as well as the google maps page! They have a weights area with hang boards and pull up bars, as well as benches. For climbing specific weighted training, the facilities could not be any better. They have a yoga spot/loft upstairs with couches and a ping pong table. The handwashing station by the gym area is genius by the way.I also really appreciate that this place doesn’t have an initiation fee, and we signed up with the 2 weeks free promo, so that’s fantastic. We came on Sunday, and it was practically empty, only 4 parties in the whole place at a time. There was no loud cringe music and it felt quite chill. I will see about weekday nights this week and update this section of the post.Update: some weekday nights it gets busy, but not crowded. Most people tend to be polite and take turns at the walls. No issues here! All in all, this place is well thought out and made for members, unlike some other gyms that focus resources on their climbing teams.

Y Z: This is a great gym focusing on bouldering. It is often quiet which is great considering some of the bigger gyms are so crowded. Great people and owner.

Jason Y: Uplift Climbing truly exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the staff's friendliness and warmth set the tone for a fantastic climbing experience. What struck me the most was the inclusive and friendly atmosphere among both staff and fellow climbers. It's a community where everyone supports each other, making it a great place for beginners and experienced climbers alike. The courses here are not only diverse but also provide a good challenge for climbers at all levels. Whether you're just starting out or looking to push your limits, Uplift Climbing has something to offer. Staff are knowledgeable and always ready to provide guidance, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. They’ve got all the equipment and gears you need! Special thanks to Minnie!!If you're into indoor climbing and want to be part of a community that's as welcoming as it is challenging, I highly recommend Uplift Climbing. It's a five-star experience all around! ⭐⭐ ⭐ ⭐⭐

Daniel: Best/hardest bouldering gym around, definitely not for punters. Nice staff and good music!

Sara Nicole: My partner and I took intro to bouldering and had a very fun Saturday afternoon. The instructions were very clear and the value of the lesson was great since it also includes a week of climbing and shoes. Love that it has weights and a pull-up bar/rings so you can really get a full body workout. The gym was very clean. We would definitely buy the punch passes or day passes in the future and invite friends.

Adam Hoover: Community! A neat place to train or boulder. The sinks in the training area for hand washing are the BEST! The route setting is quite clever and I always learn something new. Cool cats 🐯

Herakles Li: I can't believe it took so long for me to check this place out. Finally had a chance to visit during their Downgrade climbing competition! The community and atmosphere were a blast and I really enjoyed the competition problems. In terms of layout the gym isn't super large, probably the smallest of the bouldering gyms in the area. The density of climbs wasn't super high but this was during a comp so I presume they fill out much more afterwards. Walls are mostly vertical or various degrees of overhanging. No cave climbing though unfortunately. That said they have a moonboard which is always an A+ in my book! There is also a workout area with weights, exercise equipment and hangboards.Overall at least for the competition I really enjoyed the setting which was challenging in multiple different styles and I loved the communal atmosphere compared to some.of the bigger gyms around here.

Alex Leslie: Great community

jesse leonard: I met Andrew and Caroline at exit 38 today. Both nice people and really good climbers! I told them opening a gym takes more guts then climbing does. I hope the climbing community will support their gym as it helps to grow the climbing community. 💪

Alec Girard: Fun climbs. Great vibe.

Husky Climbing Rock: what do users think?

Conor Leahy: center of the universe

Jay DANN: This place is amazing I was super excited when a buddy told me about it.They could do something about the gravel and replace it with a better solution.

Nate T-A: Polished granite, challenging traverses, good vibes.

Kyle Flett: Totally a 70s era climbing hidden gem

Jello Zhou: . I'd recommend bringing your own bouldering pad, or ropes and quickdraws for the taller walls

John Tupper: Honestly the best rock climbing dojo you could ask for. If you want to get hard, train here man. 10/10 best spot in Seattle.

Keegan Wright: Cool but also dangerous because it is made of all rock and it's gravel all around it so if you fell or misplaced your foot or hand you'd slip

Half Moon Bouldering: what do users think?

Adam Hoover: The staff was very helpful and ensured I was familiar with all the features and rules of the gym. Very clean for a Friday! The problems are well-balanced and thoughtful. It's quite easy to spend a few hours here.

Stephen Dykier: One of my favorite climbing gyms in the area, staff and patrons are extremely friendly excellent atmosphere for new climbers and experienced veterans.

Dave Ralston: Great space and quality challenges for all ages and size climbers. The classes and memberships are pretty helpful for a variety of times and use.

Alpine Ascents International: what do users think?

Mike: This outfit seems exceptional. Seth spent about 15 minutes on the phone with me and was clearly trying to help me make the right choice for my needs. Based on this experience, I'm likely going to go with Alpine Ascents over other Guiding outfits.

Lisa Simmons: I've experienced exceptional customer service from Andy Souder, Assistant Gear Manager for Alpine Ascents. He immediately responded to my online questions about the appropriate boots for Aconcagua by sharing critical details of each brand, make and model. He also helped me in the same manner with my crampon selection. Andy made all the difference in my decision to purchase gear from Alpine Ascents because he is a subject matter expert of high order. Thanks Andy!

Scott Frisbie: Professionals

Bri Preblich: . The whole experience was challenging but amazing. Also, Adam led my rope team and I could not have asked for a better guide or someone who was more personable. He pushed me to reach my potential and I’m so grateful for that. Thanks Adam ❤️

Brian Oyler: I have used Alpine Ascents for climbs of Mt. Rainer, Kilimanjaro, and most recently Mt. Baker. I want to say they are top notch and I will use them again. I wanted to give credit to our guides on Baker. Pat, Lee, and Dakota were awesome. The “field trip” Pat took us on was really cool and I felt he went above and beyond doing that for us. They were all very knowledgeable and kept us all safe for a successful summit. Also kudos to Hannah from the office that joined us on the climb. Thanks for an incredible experience!!!

Steve B: Great experience on the 3 day Muir climb to summit Mt. Rainier for a mountaineering novice. Efficient communication, outstanding guides, great instruction, and even tasty food made this a very safe and enjoyable adventure. Highly recommend this guide company!

Callie Noland: These guys are absolutely amazing. As first timers, they made my 3 friends and me feel super safe and supported from start to finish, and managed to fit tons of teaching into an awesome and fun 3 day Kulshan ascent. Couldn't recommend them enough- shout out to Craig, Quinn, and Dakota for our dopest adventure yet!!! Can't wait to come back!!Things to note: train diligently, even if your baseline is pretty fit- it's so much more fun to be cruising than struggling. Lots of hiking for the months leading up, ideally with more weight than you'll need so it all feels like light work on the actual trip.

Stephen Larson: We did the 3 day Mt. Rainier climb in 2020. While we did not summit due to 50 mph winds near the Emmons Shoulder, the lead guide made the climb exceptional. Safety is their number one priority, which is good, because even if you can't finish, you will live another day.

Roman Ostrovski: Awesome baker trip!

Michael Laffey: I had a great experience climbing Mount Rainier with Alpine Ascents even though I did not make it to the top. This was my first time climbing. The guides were great, we were fed well, I learned some mountaineering skills and I got to camp on a glacier at 11 thousand feet with fantastic views. . Be warned it is very physically challenging so if you want to make it all the way be ready. I would highly recommend Alpine Ascents to anyone who wants to climb a mountain.

Jay Ruzesky: Huge thanks to Sarah, Jake, Todd and Alpine Ascents for helping us to the top of Mt Baker! What a great team of guides. Alpine Ascents allowed us to carry forward our 2019 booking through years of COVID and this climb was a culmination of a dream. These folks are total pros. We felt completely safe and had the encouragement and support we needed to get to the summit.

Thomas Bielli: Top Notch. Professional. Class Act.Safety is their number one goal. Alpine Ascents is upfront about it, "our number one goal is to get you up the mountain and down the mountain safely". Each step of the process was methodical and safety oriented. Professionalism and attention to detail is important to me - and should be important to you! I found Alpine Ascents to possess both of these qualities.Customer Service. The Alpine Ascents team does a nice job with communication before you arrive, when you arrive for gear check, while on your climb and after your climb. Each question I had was answered in a timely and efficient manner.I have zero reservations about recommending Alpine Ascents to my friends and family.

Edgeworks Bellevue: what do users think?

Julio Dorantes: Nice place to spend time with the family.

Shanai Bemis: so I’m not sure what could be done specifically about this issue.

Elena Reiss: I'm really sad to see the direction this gym has gone. It used to have a lovely children's area where I loved to play with my friend's kids, and hoped to someday teach my future kids climbing. They expanded the gym, removing the kids area. It is a nice gym in the sense that there are lots of well set routes, and the new bathrooms and spacious, but I would have rather just kept the gym the way that it was. I guess when I have kids I will have to see if there is a better gym for families. A lot of the beloved staff seems to have left. The old gym felt like a second home to me, and this one feels very much like a business. Maybe over time I will grow to like it more. And it is nice that it isn't as crowded since the expansion. But I would have rather they built more gyms rather than rip this one apart and remove the children's area.

Phil: Awesome gym! The new expansion is amazing and I cannot wait for Bel Red Boulders to come!

Bear Tail Productions: Wonderful staff with fun unique climbing. A must do for anyone!

Crispy Bacon: This climbing gym is top quality. Great location, good setting and really high quality facilities. This is the best climbing gym in Washington State. They also have saunas in the locker rooms.Gym staff is also very friendly and experienced.

Tony Song: There are many lines and the atmosphere is very good. I like this place very much.
