Elizabeth Hardy: I was in Seattle and had to visit the flagship store. I also had my favorite salad. The Cilantro Line Chicken Salad in the Cafe is wonderful. It had been a while since I had been in a Nordstrom so it was a nice shopping visit.

Craig Curran: keep hours that make zero sense. I mean, who is shopping for clothes in the middle of the week before 4 or 5?SO many clothing stores in the Seattle area are close between 4 and 6, meaning if you've got any sort of 'normal' job, you've got just about enough time to get there and try on one article before being shooed out.This is probably due largely to the fact that the owner, Scott is very hands-on, and is there most days of the week. It's great because when you've got important details to discuss concerning items being altered, you often get to deal with the owner himself, which is nice, for obvious reasons.It's no mystery why this store has outlasted so many other clothing stores in Seattle.

Everything just "clicked" at Kuhlman. The selection is a very dignified style, not too ostentatious, but clearly a level above. Since I was liking the merchandise, she showed me this slouchy button-down top, perfect for casual-no-I-didn't-dress-for-you occasions. I wondered about flouncy skirts, but she said they didn't have them in-store at that time, but pulled some great ones up on their website, which I will certainly look into. I don't recall the other workers that basically waited on me while I was trying on things in the dressing room, but as I said, they were all willing to help. Free People has a top-notch crew at their Spokane store!
