Megan J. Merritt: Very nice dump, most of our items were actually able to be recycled. Plus there was an area for goodwill donations. By the time we recycled our items we didn’t have much to dump and there is a minimum charge which is $35 dollars so next time we will try to have a bigger load! The staff was really nice!

Rob Reid: I was really happy with the transfer station that was there years ago. If you'd asked me to rate it back then I would have given it five stars. I had no idea a transfer station could be as nice as the one that we have now. The old one was basically a shed over a giant hole in the ground. It served its purpose. It let me get rid of things. The transfer station that we have now is much nicer to be in than the old place. And there are many additional things that you can deal with there. You can drop off recycling. You can drop off needles from your diabetes treatments. So I definitely give this five stars. But it's so much more than what simple stars can communicate

They also have a goodwill drop off. I was impressed with how helpful everybody that works there is and how efficient the whole process is from start to finish. Totally worth all five stars!
Mary S: As the mother of two garbage truck-obsessed preschoolers, this place is a dream come true. The community viewing room has the BEST entertainment ever, and great educational activities and toys for kids to play with. The facilities are clean and convenient. We wish we lived closer, we'd be here every day.

Tim Merritt: So many ways to improve the experience, but it's better than before! More signage, and more than one exit stop booth more frequently would be great. Also a piece of paper with a distinct color, such as orange for yard waste on your dash, so they can just look at the front of the vehicle and point out where to go. It seems like that would make the whole process easier for the worker's, and faster for the customer. It could also have the date or some other way to determine it was for that day, like a Letter that would change every day. Just a thought 🤔
Saba Z: and cardboard.Dropping off the recycle was free.It cost $35 to drop off an old desk in the dumpster.I would recommend to drop off all the trash at once since it does not matter how much you have it will still cost $35 for a car to enter for a short period.Separate the cardboards since there is a separate large bin for it.There was a goodwill donation truck in the recycle area parked you could also donate but they did not take any furniture.I did not see a schedule posted but the place was open on a Sunday around 2pm.

Liz White: Helpful staff. Check website for items accepted. Limit of 10 CFL lightbulbs per visit. There is a QR code to scan for a shirt survey as you enter, but I think you can also tell them your info. An excellent resource for disposal!!!

Be aware Google Maps tries to have you enter via 2nd Ave S — this is incorrect, and it is where you will be exiting from. The entrance is just off S Kenyon St / 5th Ave S, on the northern side of the facility. The signage should let you know where to enter!

Jose Broto: This amazingly smart and well run environmental intervention is nothing like the regular Waste Management operation that is the number one criminal responsible for mixing hazards with rubbish to create 100 times the toxic volume. Number one success here is the communication that keeping the waste stream simple and minimal is a priority for rational protection of public health. Free disposal at the community level is a necessary tactic to control toxic releases that spread dangerous contaminations unpredictably as well as causing difficult problems at our sewer water treatment ooperations like Brightwater.
