Ben Meyerhoff: Unfortunately I contracted Long Haul Covid in August of 2021. Upon release from a week in the hospital and a week in rehab, I returned home. I live alone and had no help although I was still quite ill. I engaged Home Instead initially for 7 days a week. After some trial and error with care givers, I had settled on essentially two care givers that provided me with excellent care and continue to do so on a much more limited basis. They learned to know my needs and my idiosyncrasies, my house and my dog very well and do certain chores on their own without my requesting it. Although they were young women, we became friends. I looked forward to the 4 or 5 hours that they spent with me. They did everything that I requested with a smile, which made life much easier for me when I really needed the assistance.Home Instead in the Seattle area has provided me with excellent support and assistance which allowed me to function at a level that I could not have done without them. Suffering from dementia, Dad could be difficult, but the caregivers from Home Instead were always kind, and patient with him. They were another set of eyes, alerting me to potential issues to discuss with the nursing staff. They were attentive to my quality of life concerns as well, and endeavored to not just keep him comfortable, but to also to keep him engaged and interested in his surroundings. The administrative staff was also very responsive to any questions or concerns I had. I can highly recommend the caregivers and staff of Home Instead.

She really worked with us to help my mom feel comfortable with the process. my mom has not been thrilled to have someone help her in her home. Plus, my mom has a big dog that can seem scary at first, which makes finding a care aide challenging. I’m sure all of this poses a huge challenge for the care coordinator but she rose to the occasion.

We are dealing with alzheimers and Parkinsons and she was totally familiar with care for both conditions. She had great ideas for us as far as entertaining a person who has neuro losses and all information was appreciated. The positive thing about Synergy is that their plans do flex because we do not need care all day long. For us, being able to flex with our caregivers is essential at this point. I have a friend who is searching for help for friends and I referred them to Synergy for their quest. They need more time with a caregiver,so their needs are different than ours but Synergy can cater to these different needs

Steven Stoller: The caregivers aren't necessarily perfect, but then no one on earth is perfect. I find their care almost universally outstanding and they indeed are very 'caring.' The only complaint is that one of them is always complaining that our house is too cold. That is not enough to change my rating, however, as I dare say that all of the others are marvelous and even he is quite good when he is doing his job.

Ann Lipkin: We hired Right at Home for a 14 day increment while my husband did initial recovery after a knee replacement. The company was very professional: from Sammantha the client services manager to Jason and Ebony in scheduling to all of our caregivers. We had 5 caregivers who helped to cover our short term stint. We enjoyed them all and they were able to help with transfers, daily PT exercises and mobility while being conscientious of safety concerns. They also jumped in to help with laundry, changing the sheets, dishes, basic meal prep and taking out the trash for me. The only reason we are not rating 5 stars is that one day over the labor day weekend our caregiver called in sick the night before. The company wasn’t able to replace that person. While we prefer that a sick employee stay at home if they are sick, we were disappointed that the company couldn’t fill the shift.

We visited a bit before we left to give me a chance to get oriented and then we were on our way. I also had the opportunity to ask Jan more about the services of Right at Home in case I would need help again. Without talking like a business person, she answered my questions and offer ideas of ways Right at Home can be helpful to me. FRHC said they'd have somebody by the end of the day. And they did. And we've been with them for a year and a half, happy the whole time. Caregivers are helpful and patient and kind. On the rare occasion when the chemistry wasn't right, they found a replacement quickly.
