They highly impressed me with the attention amd care they provide for all the lesson horses that board there. The lessonees are great people and the trainers are experienced and highly knowledgable. Very fun envoronment and lots of horse care learning in addition to riding as well, which i love!

Nathalie Henry Riche: This is a small barn with top notch training. After riding at 4 barns, including much fancier ones, I truly think this is the one you want. Lessons are structured with skills both in horse care and riding. Instructors know what they talked about. It is clear what the student needs to work on to move on to their next level. Solid foundations, excellent progress. Great safe horses for all levels. Cannot find better on the east side IMO.

Both Rebecca and Ryan take wonderful care of their animals and the property. You can see the passion Rebecca has for her horses. They both do a incredible job. Thanks so much for such a great time!

Alyssa Johnson: I was at a few different riding facilities before I was introduced to CMS and The Red Barn by a friend in school. CMS is by far the best stable I have been to. Everyone there is so nice and it is such a welcoming environment. I love not only being able to work with the horses but seeing the work that the staff put in to rehabilitate all of the rescues that come in!

Jennifer O'Meara: We attended a birthday party for a 5-year-old at Cougar Mountain Stables. It was such a great alternative to the typical parties at places like Pump It Up. They had a small bouncy castle for the kids to play in at the beginning. Then the staff did a great job of introducing the children to the horses, first having them brush them, then building up to riding them. In particular, the staff were wonderful with my very timid 5-year-old daughter. She was afraid to ride the horses, but the staff were incredibly supportive and encouraging and she ended up riding a horse for the first time.

Kate Stamschror: I've been riding here for about 6 months now and I couldn't recommend Sundance more highly - the facilities are clean and comfortable, the arena footing is the best I've seen, the training is top notch, and the school horses are some of the most responsive, delightful schoolmasters I've had the pleasure to ride. Katherine clearly loves what she does and takes pride in her students AND her horses. Lessons are well-organized, fun, and challenging and include a focus on correct horsemanship both in and out of the ring. The barn is full of friendly, supportive riders of all ages, so as an adult coming back to riding after a decade+ away, I've felt right at home and feel like I've grown leaps and bounds in both my riding and my confidence in just a few months.

Lizzie Wright: I have been with Sundance for 2 and a half years now and I can't thank them enough for all their hard work and dedication to make me the rider I am. My green horse has gone miles from where she was when I got her two months ago thanks to Sundance. Collecting and extending was hard for her, and in just a few months she has piled on so much knowledge about jumping and lateral work. The barn is a family, no drama, just love. Not to mention we have THE BEST arena footing I've ever ridden on. I totally recommend this stable!

Amelia Burger: Sundance Equestrian is amazing! I have two horses with them, one has been at Sundance for 5 years and has come so far over those years. My horse came to Sundance not able to jump effectively or canter on each lead and now she is champion in the .75M and .85M classes. I recently bought another horse with Sundance's expertise to continue to show at a higher level. Their training is above and beyond, all of the horses are fat, happy and shiny while also being very competitive in the hunter and jumper rings. Our arena footing is the best in the state and lends itself to have a barn full of sound and comfortable horses. Sundance is a team, we all work together, show together and help each other. I wouldn't keep my horses anywhere else!!

She alongside her clients travel extensively over the country to compete in the hunters and jumpers.This is not a barn I would recommend to newbies or people that can't afford a horse. Aleron services a specific demographic and does it quite well.If your goal is compete professionally and have the means to do so, this is the place for you.The caretakers of the horses know what they are doing, most having years of horse experience under their belts. Say hi to them!

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by not only the owners and instructors, but also by the other riders and the grooms. It really feels like a family. I love how personalized and goal-oriented the program is and how much they care about the well-being of the horses. Their coaching is on point - they’re patient, specific, and always challenge each rider just the right amount. They know exactly what each rider needs to work on, and they design courses and lesson plans accordingly. I moved to the area less than a year ago after not riding for years, and my riding continues to improve significantly every month.They’ve never pressured me to buy a horse just to earn a commission. In fact, they’ve done the exact opposite- they’ve gone above and beyond to help me find a perfect match, even when that’s meant extra work or time. Jeanne Strand: Unfortunately, I was only at Overlake Farms in Bellevue for 8 months before our planned move to Arizona full time in August 2022. I wish I had been there longer. OLF was the right home for me and my horse Blu. He loved his big open stall and paddock and his turn out in lush pastures. The Farm has a really nice riding track, outdoor arena and round pen and is literally right across the street from Bridle trails state park—so easy to attend shows or clinics! While there is no covered arena for rainy winter days, I can say with all honesty that I never missed a day of planned riding due to rain. The park has tall trees which protect from the rain but still are wide open and bright.Dana and her crew take amazing care of all the horses. They have a huge herd that has 30+ acres to meander in and are fed on a track to make sure everyone has a place to eat and not be bothered. Having said that, horses will be horses and do hurt themselves from time to time. Dana keeps sufficient stall/paddocks available to use if a horse needs to come out of the herd for any reason. A young horse had torn the skin back on her knee requiring stitches. She broke her stitches open and Dana made extraordinary efforts to help with the care and treatment of the horse including installing a tether system in a stall. In the 3 barns I have been at, I have never seen an owner so personally involved and conscientious of a horses’ well being.For the non-herd horses, turn out is all day for long hours not just a couple hours. Any reasonable request was met and accommodated. This is not a “show” barn although there are show horses there. Boarders are knowledgeable and friendly and happy to join on a trail ride. There are a number of quality trainers available and with 50+ horses on the farm, all the vets and farriers go there. Dana even built a new covered, flat area for vets and/or farriers to work out of the elements. No this is not the fanciest place but it was honest, warm, caring and welcoming and not only felt like, but was Home for Blu and I.While we are loving and adjusting to our home in the sun, we will forever miss and be fond of our friends and time at Overlake. 100% recommend Overlake as a great place to board.

Jessica Qiu: Incredible property with access to Bridle Trails State Park. I've been boarding here since Oct 2021. My horse lives in the 30 acre pasture in the herd and he is really living his best life. Owners and staff are so attentive and knowledgeable. The location definitely can't be beat either!

Risa Bruner: and the owners are extremely accommodating. My guy can be a bit difficult at times, but the owners have gone above and beyond to work with us and meet our needs. The social environment is also very pleasant, as the other boarders are very supportive of each other—and always up for a group trail ride! We were very lucky to find this place, and I highly recommend them to anybody in the Seattle area!

Melissa Howell: This was an amazing place to volunteer. The facility was clean. The volunteers were caring and ready to lend a hand. It has been years since I have been here but if I had the time I would volunteer again in a heartbeat. The horses are so kind and very well trained. This is a place for smiles and healing.I do remember it being very cold during the fall and winter months so bundle up and bring tissues for those long cold walks.
