Service and presentation were amazing and the food was full of flavor and meticulously prepared. My guest was a pescatarian and was easily accommodated.Parking: The parking lot comes up quick and the turn around is pretty far out of the way so be careful when approaching.
Sherry Fan: out of all the fine dining places in seattle, this doesn’t necessarily have the best food, but it undoubtedly has the best service and atmosphere. i appreciate that there is a formal dress code as it really elevates the ambiance of the meal. the service is truly unmatched; you feel very welcomed and the staff takes care of every aspect of your experience. the view is probably one of the best in seattle. however, for the price point, the food is merely good. there certainly were dishes that blew my mind, but this was maybe 2 out of the 10 dishes we tried. the drinks again were good, but not particularly special. again at this price point i would expect the food and drinks to be more singular.

Every interaction is polite, attentive and professional.We have gone to Altura for my birthday two years in a row. We will be going again for our anniversary in two months.Both experiences, the food and presentations were beautiful and delicious. Each menu was a different experience with a few staples we loved from our previous visit. Everything is amazing, there wasn't a single item or dish we were even slightly disappointed by. Coonoor Behal: This place is out of this world, I can't believe I don't see it on more "Best of" lists for Seattle. I prioritize "event meals" in my life and this is easily in my top 10 ever. Was fortunate enough to get off the waitlist and take my parents there for Christmas Eve and it was a delight start to finish. Food is just jaw-droppingly moan-worthy, every single item took our breath away. I got the wine pairing and loved it...they for sure snuck in some extra wines for me too but didn't make a big deal out of it! Service is lovely and clearly professional but also relaxed. Love the look of the place too, more like a taverna rather than a stiff, white table cloth place you'd imagine at this price point and quality.

From the moment we were greeted by our server, who was impressively friendly without being artificial, to his insightful explanations about the nuances of Piemonte cuisine against other part os Italy, the service truly stood out.Although the tarjarin, their specialty, wasn't quite to my taste due to my personal preference for thicker and al dente pastas, the nettle risotto was absolutely divine, elevating my dining experience we never had such delicious risotto before. The cocktails were expertly crafted, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening.While the milk pork was a bit unconventional and leaned towards the sweeter side, it didn't quite hit the mark for me but it was wellk prepared. I'm intrigued to explore their dessert offerings on a future visit, as there was unfortunately no room left after our satisfying meal.The ambience, with its tasteful Italian-inspired decor, transported us to Italy, enhancing the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. Their vegan tasting menu I had was the best meal of my life. My partner had the regular omni meal with two upgraded courses, one with caviar and one with Wagyu tenderloin that she also loved as. They offer an excellent wine pairing as well. The atmosphere is great. Yan Sun: This is a restaurant that is very, very worth visiting. The reason why it gets four points is based on my own usual evaluation system. In a place like Downtown, the taste needs to be very distinctive to match the location and customer base. And parking is so difficult. It's fine here.We ordered the appetizer of tiger prawns, seafood barbecue and seafood pot. They are all signs. The appetizer base includes mango and cherry tomatoes. The tiger prawns are not too big, and the tail after cooking is only as big as a six- or seven-year-old child's little finger. But it tastes really great. My kids raved about the side dishes. There are chickpeas on the bottom of the seafood pot, and the soup is a little spicy and very delicious. Pair it with clams, shrimps, and the sweetness of the seafood is brought out. The seafood at Grill, the snow crab legs are average, but fortunately they are plump. Two pieces of corn may have different origins, one is sweet and the other is dry. The shrimp is excellent. The sausage that goes with it is great.The child ordered two flavors of ice cream and didn't expect it at all, so I can't comment on the dessert.The service is super good, which is rare in Seattle. The atmosphere is very good, which shows that the quality of the surrounding residents is very high.

Chris E: First time visiting, during a trip to Seattle. We stopped in for happy hour. We were able to get a table outside. This restaurant is located in the Edgewater Hotel, on the northern end of the Seattle waterfront area. Happy hour prices for drinks are a couple dollars off. And they have a limited food menu. I ordered the wagu sliders, which came with garlic fries. Both were very good, in my opinion. And made a good meal. The weather was fantastic, so that made the experience even better.

At this point its been more than 20 minutes and the wind had picked up so me and girlfriend just walked up to the reception area and waited for someone. For a total of $100+ and $20+ per dish, it was not worth it, considering the lack of service we received.

Wow! Our meal was perfectly prepared. Best steak I’ve had in Seattle. The two gentlemen who filled the water and cared for our table were attentive and friendly. Cesar and another person. When it came for dessert- which I saved room for- the bananas foster was prepared by Kirin, the GM. It was so smooth and delicious. Amazing. My guy got a tour of the kitchen he enjoyed and we may go back to learn how to prepare the bernaise sauce. So, if you have a chance - go. I will most definitely be back. Server was extremely knowledgeable, he mentioned he had chef experience and could guide us through recommendations, and very friendly, and food was very well cooked. The Caesar salad was a fun experience; it was served tableside and our server explained each ingredient as he added it. Prices are definitely on the high end, but we both considered it worthwhile for the quality.

Tiffany Jorgensen: I've been coming here for around twenty years. The food is always consistent and lovely.The service goes above and beyond. Granted this was about a decade ago, but one time my child left their bag and they held onto it till or next visit. Which was several weeks later. Hak Williams: What a gem. I believe this was Anthony Bourdain's favorite restaurant in Seattle. So French and simple and unassuming. If you love chocolate you can't leave Seattle without trying their hot chocolate. It's the most chocolate and heavy cream you can combine into one sip. You can go for a light lunch or a late breakfast or an afternoon coffee and dessert, or you can go for dinner. The whole chicken for two looks like a smart bed, and the fish is always a good idea. The charcuterie and cheese is also a winner. The steak frites was very good, but it doesn't beat an American Steakhouse kind of steak if that's what you are into. The wine by the glass is 4 or $5 more affordable than other nearby restaurants. In France this would be considered a bistro, which is on the more casual end of the spectrum. But there may be no exact equivalent to France because this place serves more than one function. It's a cafe, a bar, and a bistro. If you're in the area and need a little pick me up you can go in just for a hot chocolate or a coffee. Their espresso service is top notch. I was having dinner there late last night and a couple came in and just ordered a whiskey and a hot chocolate as their nightcap.
Michael Cook: First and foremost a restaurants priority is to serve good food, and this place made up for a multitude of sins by having really amazing, tasty, well prepared/seasoned food that is being done by a seriously competent back of house staff. I had the steak frites, and it was one of the best steaks I’ve had, and was perfectly cooked rare to my preference. The chicken tartine was beautiful, my companion had the fish of the day and it was incredibly seasoned and sauced. Beautiful food.The service though was awful, we weren’t greeted for about 10 minutes in a tiny restaurant, all the staff looked at us but didn’t say anything. We were forgotten about a bit, the staff seemed more interested hanging out with the lush at the bar who seemed to be taking all the air out of the room.We asked for our bill, the server dropped it off, changed her clothes and left. We then waited half an hour to pay, and finally were acknowledged and told we had to give our cards to them, as if we should've known.The 20% automatic gratuity is a flaw, theres no motivation for the server to love the table and go the extra mile, they just phone it in. The way it’s put on the menu is that the customer is paying for their benefits and commission, and if we feel the service isn’t up to 20% it’s up to the customer to ask to have it removed. That’s just bad business and an unnecessary duty to put onto the customer.But the food was amazing, and that’s what’s important, and what saved the whole experience

Kendra Rocha: I absolutely loved the vibes in this place! It was like speakeasy meets hip NYC bar. Dark and moody with wall covered mirrors and a really cool bathroom. The food was quite tasty, and the wine was delicious. Their happy hour goes super late, which was a happy surprise because it's usually like 2-4pm in most places. We arrived very late and their kitchen remained open along with happy hour which made everything even better. Service was also terrific, our waitress was very attentive and helpful when we were indecisive. On top of all of that, it's very reasonably priced. We were a party of three, we all had drinks, dinner, and dessert and it was under $100 which is a rare occurrence in Seattle. I highly recommend this place!
Souvik Aswad: Great local find. I was searching for a low-key dinner place with good drinks, and this didn't let me down. I had the tenderloin steak as entree and the only dessert on the menu. The steak well crafted and dessert was delicious. I had one cocktail and it was well prepared. Overall, if you're looking for a small sized place with a nice vibe and good food, then I would definitely recommend it!

STEVE CUMMINGS: Everything was perfect. from the complimentary valet parking to the post-WW II dark wooden interior We had Thanksgiving dinner here and the service was just excellent. Attentive, but not pushy or robotic. For a hotel restaurant, prices were reasonable. Best part of our experience was the welcoming notice at the bottom of a real menu asking us not to use electronic devices or cell phones. Everyplace should have such a polite request highlighted. I live here but we seldom frequent hotel restaurants.
Swanky Christy: . Service was very good, chef came and talk to us as well as a restaurant manager and we shared our feedback. Overall we had a good experience here and as a downtown locals we will consider this restaurant when we want nice Mediterranean cuisine.

Charley Wang: Between the pandemic and a new baby we had basically completely given up on having a really nice meal. We've eaten at Wa'z in the before times, so we thought we would give their $100 kaiseki take-out a try.It was amazing! Definitely the best meal we've had since the pandemic started.
Elise Sivilay: 5 Star Food, 5 Star Service - friendly, cheerful, affable. Front of house was superb. Presentation was very beautiful. I was enamored with the diverse sake glasses. Counter seats were a lot of fun from which to watch all the action. They made my friend's birthday very special. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go again. Kudos to Chef Hiro and team!
