In chatting with Jason I knew that he would be wonderful - kind, patient, caring. No question, we will be going back for him to groom Higgins again!We come here for daycare if I have a work trip, or if something comes up. I appreciate how nice the staff is, I love that I can see the webcams. The only two things that bothers me is that I never see humans interacting with the pups - usually they are alone, and Higgins comes home smelling like urine. He is a little lowrider, but still, his little legs have come home dingy and yellow. That makes me uncomfortable. But when we do drop him off he always seems happy to trot on back there. That is the most important thing to me!

Thomas Essex: Mona and her team are amazing. I am a Social Worker in the ED at the VA hospital. Often we have Vets come to the ED and because of a medical emergency have to be admitted and have a service or support animal who needs on the spot care. On at least 4 separate occasions over past year Mona and her team have stepped in to ensure a Veteran has the reassurance their dog is well cared for. On the day of the severe ice storm last winter we had a Vet fall and break a hip, they had no way to care for their dog and Mona's team showed up in a vehicle with studded tires to pick up this Vets dog and care for it until Vet released form hospital. On another occasion Mona was caring for a Vets dog and the dog needed surgery. Mona raised the money to get this dog the care it needed. Yesterday I received a call from Seattle Animal Shelter informing me that a Vets dog would be placed for adoption if not picked up. This Vet is still in hospital. When I called Mona she took the details and asked where to pick up the dog. She assured me that her team would pick up the dog and take care for it until Vet is able to take care of the dog again. In my 30 plus years of SW I have not met a person or a team quite like Mona and the team at The Dog Resort SODO. I am a lifelong pet owner and I absolutely recommend The Dog Resort as a safe, supportive, loving environment for your pet. Mona and her team will go above and beyond to care for your pet, providing the love all pets need in addition to excellent care and oversight!So Grateful!TE

Laura Molesworth: Sierra, Harley, Anne, and the whole crew at Elliott are THE BEST people to groom and care for my dog, Butter, EVER! They are so caring, sweet, gentle, and fun. Butter always tugs me all the way inside when she sees we are near the Elliott DDL building, and I always have to drag Butter out of daycare, even after grooming, because she loves being there so much and doesn’t want to go back to our boring home😂. Butter can be a handful and gets overwhelmed in large groups of dogs, but she never has any issues at DDL Elliott. It wouldn’t be possible without the amazing workers! Cannot recommend enough!
Erin Smith: My little guy loves this daycare location! They do a good job of easing the dogs into the place and keeping an eye on them. The camera feature is the absolute best cause I can check in on my pup throughout the day and feel like he's in good hands. This location unfortunately doesn't board at this time, but it's a super convenient location for daycare needs!
Nicole Jaramillo: If you are considering training at downtown dog lounge, think no more,all the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Everyone from the front desk staff, to grooming, knew Grogu and when we walked in they would all greet him. I had the pleasure of training with Tyler. He is very knowledgeable, loving and Grogu responded well to him. I originally went in with the intention of doing less sessions but after our first interaction I signed up for 8. I am extremely satisfied with all the progress Grogu has made in such a short time. He just turned 4 months and thanks to Tyler he knows more than I could have ever imagined. Tyler not only trained Grogu but he gave me all the skills and reassurance to continue working with him at home. Sadly we are leaving Washington if not I would of continued my services with Tyler and everyone else at DDL.

Livwithbiv: I highly, highly recommend the Downtown Dog Lounge - SLU. From the evaluation, to daycare, to boarding they have shown excellent care to my dog. We are currently having an issue with flight delays while out of state, and they are very easy to communicate with and have helped me to not worry about Lola while we are going through an already frustrating situation. Gigi Carter: If I could give 10 stars, I would. The staff at Downtown Dog Lounge Ballard saved my dog's life. Max is an older dog and rescue with several underlying health conditions, but has been stable for several months. Earlier this year, the vet told us Max's heart condition would worsen, but he couldn't pinpoint when. My husband and I planned a much-needed long holiday weekend in Dallas with close friends. We dropped Max and our other pup off at DDL on Thursday. Saturday night I received a text message and video of Max. His tongue was blue and he was having a very hard time breathing. With my approval, they immediately took Max to the emergency vet where they intubated and gave him oxygen and sedation. After speaking with the emergency vet, it was clear that the attention paid to Max, and quick action of the Downtown Dog Lounge staff saved my dog's life. I cut my trip short and flew back first thing Sunday morning to rush to the hospital. After talking through everything with the vet, Max was discharged from the hospital with new medications that he is tolerating very well. I know we don't have much time left with Max, but as someone who loves her dogs dearly I don't want to not be there when something happens. However, the care, love, attention and excellent communication of the staff at DDL made all the difference. Thank you! I'm deeply grateful.

My wife had to drop our dog off last minute, unfortunately delta would not let Abel fly overseas so we were scrambling to find a place that not only would take care of our dog but would also love him. PawsVIP did all that and MORE! They kept us updated on him and put him all over their Instagram so we could see how he was doing daily. Their processes are so easy and manageable! Abel had to fly by himself to California and PawsVIP took him to the airport and checked him in and made sure our baby dog was all good to go. I was in touch with Simmy and her crew the whole time and they all made me feel very reassured. My wife had to leave everything with them, his leash, harness even his binder full of his vet paperwork. Simmy went out her way to ship those items for us. One of the many positive things they did. Robert Jacobs: I came here for a nail trim for my elderly dog. She has toe treads glued on her nails to prevent her slipping on hard wood floors and they are a pain in the butt to get off. The staff was super patient, kind, and went the extra mile to get them off her nails to give her a proper trim with zero complaints. Friendly, easygoing, and a joy to work with. I will definitely be returning. Big props to the woman who discussed KPop with me while she was working on getting the toe treads off!

Eric Eye: I brought my super reactive dog here for a reactive dog class and I loved it! The trainer was amazing and adjusted to each different dog’s specific needs. The class was extremely helpful in understanding my dog and how to work with his limitations and strengths. I recommend them to other dog owners all the time.
Marc Prindle: Love this place. We got basic training here, and our dog has never had a bad day here in over six months, twice a week. Great job curating the dogs in each session to get a good mix of friendly beasts.

They show us how to use enthusiasm and generosity to motivate dogs to behave. Over the course of several weeks dogs of various breeds and backgrounds have shown remarkable improvement. Holly Williams: We just completed a six-week reactive dog training course with Danette. I'm so glad we signed up! Danette is an incredible teacher for both dogs and their humans. My dog was always eager to go to class, and the improvements she made over the past month and a half surpass all our previous training efforts. We can't wait to go to drop-in days and future classes!I was hesitant to join any class during the COVID-19 pandemic, but social distancing, masks, and hand sanitizer were all handled so well during this outdoor course that I never felt at risk during our lessons. Chelsea Zarnowski: Great people and worked with us through training a puppy during Covid times. Puppy play class always wore our pup out and when she was old enough to do training the positive reinforcement instruction was great. It may have been Covid and the adjustments, but some of the class was a little awkward. There were some times I felt there was talking for too long where I couldn't pay attention and work with my crazy puppy. Overall I would recommend them and Danette is very responsive and helpful.
Megan: . The most important piece for us was really resetting our mindset of what are "fun" activities for Goose. We still have a long road ahead, but he's shown significant improvement since and we feel like we have all the right tools to get Goose to where he needs to be.

It has been an awesome experience as the staff is always so kind and friendly and treats our sassy puppy with love and affection. She rarely wants to leave at pickup time. bensommers: Tylie at Jax is amazing! From Puppy 101 to Training Camp she has been so fun to work with. As first time dog parents we were a bit lost and she was patient and understanding throughout. You can tell that this isn't just a job for her but that she loves dogs and wants them to thrive. She doesn't follow a one size fits all mentality and really strives to teach to the dogs personality. Robin Wilson: Tyli is an amazing trainer and we have loved working with her! We have been very impressed with her extensive knowledge and professionalism. She is very patient, efficient and explains things very well and is always positive and easy going. The things she has taught us have made our lives so much easier as first time dog owners. She also has gone beyond just teaching training by patiently answering our many questions/concerns that we have felt so lost about with being new dog parents. She's taught us how to better understand dogs and how they think and to read their body language. Our dog, when big enough, which was pretty early on, would constantly jump up with his front paws on our kitchen counters, especially while we were making food and nothing our previous trainers taught us to do would work to get him to stop. Well, Tyli told us a couple things to try and so we did one of them and our dog stopped jumping up on the counters within hours and hasn't since! We were beyond thrilled that she told us something that finally worked! She’s truly been a lifesaver for us and we’re so grateful and have been loving our nicely trained pup because of her ♥️♥️♥️

Our dog has been going to meet his ‘other’ family for a while now and has an absolute blast. I wouldn't have sent you home with an animal either.You didn't get a kitten? You're unfit to have an animal? You want a companion for your over-bred designer breed dog and didn't get one? Gasp, they didn't let you adopt a dog even though you think your sole qualification for pet ownership is the fact that you have a large yard? You found the questions made you feel like a criminal? Cry me a river and grow up. This is an animal rescue not a Best Buy: the only allegiance these people should have is to the animals. Customer service is not required nor would I expect it.I visited Emerald City a while back and the facility is spotless. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, kind and really care about the animals that are in their charge. They feed them top-of-the-line food. Their veterinary care is impressive. You can literally FEEL the love radiating out of this place.I met the most amazing little love sponge of a dog and I am taking time to consider whether I could give her the best forever home. I had a great experience there and was genuinely happy to meet everyone. But even if it hadn't been a good experience, it wouldn't have mattered: adoption is about THE ANIMAL and not me.When you're adopting an animal, please remember that this is a living, breathing creature. He or she has a heartbeat. They feel pain. They have feelings. They've been through hell and are probably confused and scared about why they're there. They need love. They need the best care you can give. They need to be your priority. Anything less than that and you don't deserve them.
Funkelberry McJiggletits (Jackson): I think it's important to rescue dogs, and I am really glad that my girlfriend and I were chosen by ECPR to be able to rescue one of their dogs. They have worked with us in so many ways to help us make sure we can keep Max. I can't speak highly enough of how we were treated. 10/10
