Kirk Gomez: If I could give more stars I would 10 times over! I brought my sister's pit bull that had some aggressive behavior that forced us to decide if we could keep the dog or not. We've tried other trainers with little to no success or change in behavior until we brought him to see Judy. She was extremely knowledgeable. Her calm demeaner and calculated observation was evident right away and we just knew we were in expert hands. Within the first session we saw a complete turnaround in behavior. I believe she saved our dog's life because we were desperate and the risk was too great to keep him. Since then our puppy has been way more manageable, calmer, and confident. We can walk him without having our arm yanked out of the socket. Judy is a miracle worker. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

Morgan Nissen: Higgins has had one groom here from Jason and it is the best groom he has ever had! He came home the perfect length, the perfect shaping, and so happy. In chatting with Jason I knew that he would be wonderful - kind, patient, caring. No question, we will be going back for him to groom Higgins again!We come here for daycare if I have a work trip, or if something comes up. I appreciate how nice the staff is, I love that I can see the webcams. The only two things that bothers me is that I never see humans interacting with the pups - usually they are alone, and Higgins comes home smelling like urine. He is a little lowrider, but still, his little legs have come home dingy and yellow. That makes me uncomfortable. But when we do drop him off he always seems happy to trot on back there. That is the most important thing to me!

Brianna Widner: Great customer care! Prompt, professional, and kind. During his recent boarding they were able to accommodate my dog's staggered med schedule, which most places rarely do. I love that most of the staff is first aid certified for dogs. The hours are great and prices are comparable to other facilities nearby. They give you a good report back of how your dog did. I goofily added hearts to the labels on my dog's gear for his most recent boarding and they needed to add new labels for some reason, but they added the hearts to his name on the re-writes. One of those sweet extra touches that brought a smile to my face.Docked a star because a few times I've gone there there's been a strong dog pee odor- it was obviously cleaned up/sanitized, but the smell persisted, so maybe some extra focus there. My dog always comes home smelling fine. It'd be nice if there were some natural outdoor space for the pups, but, in the middle of Seattle, greenspace is not easy to come by.

Maya Kaneyasu: I cannot begin to start how happy I am with Metro dog I was a new dog owner in April and very nervous about daycare. They were very reassuring, and with each day Harley spent at Metro dog her confidence began to increase. At first she was nervous too but now she is wagging her tail, and eager to go in every time we drop her off. She has boarded twice now and every time she comes home, she is clean happy and exhausted. Which is fantastic because we know she is having a great time playing with all her dog friends. I cannot recommend this place enough.

The staff have been great and our dog loves it so much that we keep bringing her back for daycare. Our dog comes back tired. At pick-up, the staff informs us that she had a great day playing with the other dogs. Will definitely keep bringing our dog to Metro Dog Daycare and utilize their boarding. Staff is superb and seems to be well-trained to deal with all types of dogs.

I had the opportunity to speak with the owner and a few other people and they were very nice. I really like that they have an outdoor area for the dogs. That's where my dog feels most comfortable. My dog is also very skittish but always comes back happy.

Sean Baxter: My wife and I got a new puppy last year and we wanted to start socializing with other dogs right away to make sure he would be a confident adult. Our dog Pip is a cavapoo who will be about 10 pounds full grown and we were concerned about his safety if he played with larger breeds. We are so glad we found Ahimsa because not only do they have a small dog play group that’s perfect for Pip, but Wynona and the team do a great job of managing dog interactions and ensuring every dog is able to feel safe and confident!When we started doing puppy play groups, Pip was a complete wallflower and sat in our laps for the entire time. He gradually started to venture out but was still hesitant around other dogs. It was difficult for us to see other dogs quickly thrive while Pip didn’t have the confidence to play with others even after attending the group for a couple of months. Winona helped to coach us through this challenging time by pointing out the areas where he did grow, helping us to understand his behavioral cues and make Pip feel more secure, and putting him into manageable situations that helped to slowly build his confidence. After a few months of attending weekly classes, we saw a huge breakthrough where Pip played with another dog for the first time! Since then, things have only gotten better and he has only gotten more confident!The room for puppy play is broken up into several different sections which are totally secure and isolated. This allows the team to split up dogs with different levels of energy and make sure every dog is in a situation that’s appropriate for them. Dogs will get rotated between sections during the play session and the team will pair specific dogs together based on how they are interacting. There is a big variety of dogs that are in the play group with many different breeds and personalities. There are a lot of regulars in our group and it’s been good getting to know them and their dogs over time. It’s also great for the dogs who often become friends and look forward to seeing each other every week. There are also plenty of new dogs that join in and help to keep things fresh!In addition to the play groups, we also did the Puppy Elementary curriculum which helped Pip build upon his fundamentals and greatly improved his ability to walk on leash. We got practical exercises we can do outside of class and direct feedback from the trainer during class to make sure we were doing things the right way. We’ve taken a break from behavioral training to focus solely on interactions with other dogs, but look forward to joining a more advanced class in the future.We love Wynona, Erica, Crystal, and the rest of the team at Ahimsa and so does Pip! If you are looking to socialize your dog or do behavioral training, we highly recommend you try Ahimsa!

Jennifer Wee: We've been taking our puppy here for the puppy classes, playtime and day camp. As an ancient breed that is somewhat notorious, it was imperative that we worked early with socialization and setting him up for success, and it's one of the best things I could have done for my boy! Everything is well structured and thoughtful and ran by trainers that really know what they're doing and are passionate about it!If you have a young puppy, I don't think there's anything more valuable that you could possibly do than enroll them into the day camp and puppy classes. You're getting structured socialization with new puppies constantly which not only teaches them how to socialize better around dogs and people, but generalizes this skill as well!100%, I would HIGHLY recommend!

I was always able to get in to see the doctor within 48 hours, usually less. They kept the cost of the visits and the medicines low. And when I did have to put my sweet puppy to sleep they were incredibly compassionate and patient. I can not recommend this vet clinic enough.

When you come here, you can trust your animal is going to be seen by people who care and are good at what they do.

Kaitie Coghlan: Close to Home is amazing. They’ve been taking care of my 15 yo cat when I travel for the past 3 years. Usually Ben is our sitter, and he is amazing with my very temperamental, arthritic and all around diva cat, Phyllis. Everyone who has taken care of my cat at CTH is wonderful. I appreciate and look forward to the detailed daily report card they provide, including many pictures of the fur baby. I can’t recommend CTH enough, and feel so lucky to have found a sitting service providing so much care and love to my pet.

Natasha Khanna: We have been using Close to Home Pet Services for dog walking for our two large dogs for about 1.5 years and have been continually impressed with the dog walkers, including the owner Drew, and especially with the communication from both Drew and from the other dog walkers. One of our dogs is reactive, and every single dog walker has worked with her to curb her reactivity, and we have even noticed differences when we walk her now. Our dogs genuinely look forward to walks with Drew and the team.

David Allendorf: The rooms are what you’d expect from Marriott. My daughter and I picked a nice quiet one. We were going to an event at the Neptune theater on April 12. Very convenient location.What stood out was the service. To a person every employee we came across had a very warm greeting. It was genuine, and you could tell it was ingrained into the culture. This place certainly makes that a priority, which is a reflection of its management. Thank you for making it a very pleasant stay!

Nehel Khanani: This is a great place to board your cats! My cats stayed here for a few weeks and returned home happy and healthy. The staff is very kind and helpful: they accommodated a last minute tour requested, worked with us on scheduling, and gave my cats lovely, spacious suites with windows. The webcams and google photos album are also a wonderful addition as it was great to be able to see my cats whenever I missed them!
