Honestly still kind of emotional.I was looking for a hiking boot for the weekend but came really late. Like 2 minutes before they close late. I was really just browsing and didn’t expect much but a sales rep approached us and took so much time and care measuring my feet, giving me hiking socks to try, and letting me try some shoes. In the end it took about 15 minutes, but I just felt so appreciative. Honestly this is what makes REI the best. If the rep ever sees this, it’s a dude, thank you again!!

I’ve never left any questions unasked when I’m there and always leave knowing something more about the industry that I’d didn’t know before. From Connor, Jackson, Freddy, Daniel and Eli and so many more, throughout all interactions I’ve always felt like I was not only valued as a customer but as an equal as to someone who shares to that same appreciation of what an amazing company has become. I really appreciated this experience even in a busy season where I’m sure the crew was exhausted but it didn’t show at all! The team are super helpful: Waverley found me the perfect size for every single item I wanted and did it with a genuinely helpful and friendly attitude. We put Carhartt clothing to very hard use - vs barbed wire, rocks, lumberjack work - at our mountain ranch in Wyoming and it is truly rugged. Great little store in a good location with a very positive vibe …. Thumbs up from me.

Rob Hewitt: One of very few stores remaining on the streets of downtown Seattle. Lots of friendly staff. Was blown away that they had to take drastic measures for loss-prevention. They literally locked you in and escorted you out because theft is so rampant by the transients and tweakers.

I like looking through their clearance area and love how clean it always is I am a sucker for the accessories too! it is a great shopping opportunity for locals and visitors!

Walked-in today to browse some items on sale and everybody were respectful of my time to browse stuff alone after I mentioned, when I needed help several employees were more than happy to help me out and they were wonderful to talk too as well. John Beal: navigated the clothing racks to help me find a button-down, ankle-length, close to form-fitting dress that is more than perfect for the occasion and I can't wait to put it to work again! Since I was liking the merchandise, she showed me this slouchy button-down top, perfect for casual-no-I-didn't-dress-for-you occasions. I wondered about flouncy skirts, but she said they didn't have them in-store at that time, but pulled some great ones up on their website, which I will certainly look into. I don't recall the other workers that basically waited on me while I was trying on things in the dressing room, but as I said, they were all willing to help. Free People has a top-notch crew at their Spokane store!
