Rain Librando: Booked a keratin treatment here while out of town from Alaska, absolutely saved my over processed hair and could not be more pleased with the results. Amani's a great person and was happy to give me tips on maintaining my hair and letting me know it's okay to follow up if I have any questions. Getting your hair done with a lakeside view was also a unique experience that can't be beat, would love to come back here in the future.

Cristina Acuna: I went in for a Keratin treatment at 10am. Champagne the cutest Yorkie in the world sat on my lap as I got the treatment. Suffice it to say the service was fantastic and the experience incredibly charming. I have very wavy but frizzy color treated hair that needed a good taming. The keratin treatment did just that. My waves are now perfect and sleek and I can clip in my hair extensions after my hair has air dried without any more effort bc the texture of my hair matches the extensions perfectly. Sarah Barak: It took me a couple of times to find the right stylist for me at Coven, but I'm glad I stuck it out and found Lydia. She has made substantive improvements to my cut and color, and is honestly the only stylist who has been able to teach me how to style my hair at home.Heads up that if you are disabled, as I am, this salon can be a significant challenge. There is no parking lot and parking is sparse near the salon right now due to serious construction that has lasted for a long time. There are also multiple stairs to enter the building and no ramp. However, if you can manage, once you're in, the salon really is gorgeous.Specialties: This salon specializes in cutting curly hair.Hair type: I have fine, curly hair.

Kat: Had a great experience getting my hair color done at Civility and Sway!I have natural black hair and wanted to go overall much lighter. Been to two other places and had no luck getting the results I wanted even with reference photos. I was told it was impossible in one session or it would fry my hair.Today I found out it was because it's a lengthy process that requires a lot of care. Courtney was very patient, professional and friendly and did this right in one session, and it did not damage my hair at all! The salon interior is very cozy as well. Would definitely recommend and I will be back!
Merin Peter: I received a Brazilian blowout and a fabulous haircut from Courtney, and she was the best! I found her on Groupon, which was brilliant. I am so happy and excited about my new hairdo. It was difficult to find someone who could handle my Indian frizz, thickness, and curls, but Courtney was an expert. I wasn't stressed because I knew she knew what she was doing. Thank you, Courtney! Lisa Terry: Courtney saved my hair! I came in after trying to remove a semi-permanent hair color three times on my own with no luck. In one sitting she was able to give me a fantastic Platinum coloring as well as remove the pink that seem determined to stay. I would recommend her for all of your needs! Not only is she great at her job she was extremely courteous, entertaining, and professional.

Puja Gandhi: Courtney is amazing! She uses quality products, really understands what look you're going for when you speak with her, and is also really great to talk to! Her location is a bit challenging to find and weekend appointments and evening appointments are hard to come by. Regardless, I will always book weeks in advance just to get in an appointment with her!
Aditya Agrawal: My fiancé got her eyebrows waxed and sculpted. Eyebrow waxing is priced at $15 and she loved it. I had a confusion regarding location earlier because of their website but sincemy fiancé visited them everything checks out!
Elliott Spencer: Have been a resident of Belltown for about 5 years now and discovered this place last year. In truth, I wish I could back in time and have been going here for my entire time. Easily one of the best salons in Seattle. All the stylists are so talented in color and all types of cuts, would recommend anyone looking for a new spot to give it a look, I have already referred a number of friends visiting from out of town, all have been very impressed.

Diksha Pasricha: I went to this place for a haircut and Kimberly did a fantastic job! My hair were so bad as I couldn't get them styled the whole of 2020. I was apprehensive about going to salon in the middle of the pandemic. I was passing by the K-Studio and saw on their entrance door that they are not taking any walk-ins and taking appointments. I called up the studio and booked an appointment. The salon was super clean and all the precautions were followed. Kimberly did a great job! She listened patiently to what I was seeking in a haircut and gave me the best haircut. I am writing this almost after a month because my hair still feel like newly styled! Lilli Hills: I get my hair styled by Brook and she is AMAZING! I've searched the Seattle area for years for a great stylist and I'm so excited I happened upon this studio. The staff are all wonderful. Brook does the best job in listening to what I want and making my hair look incredible. It's such a great place and pricing too!

Shaun Surething: I saw Liza at VAIN for a blowout in August and she is FANTASTIC! Just the way I remember. Full disclosure. I DID work there at one point. But I live in NYC now and haven't been to VAIN in 17 yrs. Just as great of vibes and everyone there was super cool and friendly. Everyone else looked happy and their hair was cool.

I got a short, layered, pixie cut, with some fun details, which I think I could happily wear for the rest of my life. I mentioned that I like to keep my hair pretty low maintenance, and Maritza cut in in a style that doesn't need any styling or product to look just right. It not only looks super sharp and flattering when it's freshly cut, but it grows out beautifully, so I can go four or five months between appointments, and enjoy a shaggier look while still feeling confident that it looks good. And when it's time to get it cut I just show up at Vain, knowing that I'll get to spend an hour chatting with Maritza, and leave with a haircut that not only makes me look good, but makes me feel like the best version of myself.

Had a loose idea of the vibe I wanted but no real vision for the cut; came in for a consult and she had some lovely ideas and a super clear vision that aligned perfectly with what I wanted. Came back shortly after and she did a lovely job on the cut. It was definitely a departure for my usual style but I'm very happy with it. Also helped me immensely with how to keep my hair healthy, as that's something I struggle with, and had some great product recommendations. This was my first professional haircut in years

I also bought shampoo and conditioner. It works great, doesn't weigh my hair down and leaves you smelling fresh. I get compliments on my hair whenever I leave the house. I'm glad I was in her expert hands and I will definitely be back again and again!
