Raquel Baker: but I couldn’t get over how beautiful, multidimensional and effortless their work looked! Finally I pulled the trigger, Sarah called me almost immediately after I submitted the form and was refreshingly frank and open so I knew what to expect - outcome, price, experience. The salon is small, making the experience feel more luxurious, comfortable and intimate than any other trip to the salon. The outcome was amazing! We chopped a LOT and Taylor left me feeling like I’d made a new friend. I went from always wearing my dark frizzy hair up in a ponytail to styling it on a regular basis and taking a lot more pride in my appearance. It feels a little overdramatic to say it was life changing but honestly it really helped my self esteem and that IS life changing. Thanks a million, SKH!

She foiled me in such a manner that she barely touched my roots, but it blends seamlessly with my hair, I have an updated look, my hair is not fried but luscious, and we made a plan to continue. She took me from deep chocolate to a more beachy, lighter shade of brown that has all my clients and friends gushing. I cannot believe how happy I am!! Lauren Carter: Wonderful experience and great haircut. I needed a change, not having had my hair cut/styled in 2 years due to health issues. Rome took time to analyze my hair and discuss options with me, being considerate of my needs. She showed me how to style my new haircut, and taught me many valuable things about hair care. My favorite thing was when she said she believed that “hair has memory” and sometimes we need to “cut off the old to get a new start.” The salon itself was very sunny, airy and had a friendly vibe. Strongly recommend the salon and Rome Roman hairstylist.

Currently both my husband and I see Becca, she is awesome and knows what she’s doing. She’s great with my husband’s curly hair which he has struggled to find someone for.
Katie Wold: Since I started getting my hair done by Becca I’ve felt so much more confident in my hair, and honestly my confidence overall has improved!! I was nervous about getting balayage for the first time because I’d never colored my hair, but she does a really good job of listening, asking clarifying questions to make sure we’re on the same page, and always always makes my hair look so healthy and amazing 🙌 She also gives really good advice and is so funny—I always really enjoy catching up with her during our appointments. Couldn’t recommend enough!
M DeLeon: Lindsay is a blonde genius! There are many ways going blonde can go wrong,but Lindsay gets it SO RIGHT, every time. As a small business owner and BRAND NEW mom, she even takes the time to respond to my hair care questions and concerns. When I was concerned it wasn’t the right shade of blonde, she patiently explained how different types of light affect how hair looks and offered to make any change for free. I would recommend her to anyone considering making a change or looking for someone who understands blonde care.
Shayla Brannan: Lindsay is an amazing colorist! I wasn’t sure what I wanted when I initially came to her, but she took my skin color, the fact that I wanted to hide grays, and my lifestyle into consideration, and I came out with the best color! I had been blonde once before, and it was horrible! Really yellow and icky. But Lindsay made my hair look like it was my own natural color. and I love it! I have also received many compliments on it. Even from strangers!. I would not trust my hair to anybody, but Lindsay!

Sarah Barak: It took me a couple of times to find the right stylist for me at Coven, but I'm glad I stuck it out and found Lydia. She has made substantive improvements to my cut and color, and is honestly the only stylist who has been able to teach me how to style my hair at home.Heads up that if you are disabled, as I am, this salon can be a significant challenge. There is no parking lot and parking is sparse near the salon right now due to serious construction that has lasted for a long time. There are also multiple stairs to enter the building and no ramp. However, if you can manage, once you're in, the salon really is gorgeous.Specialties: This salon specializes in cutting curly hair.Hair type: I have fine, curly hair.

Tafara Pulse: I've been going here every 2-3 months for almost 3 years and love this place. In all of Seattle, I only trust Robert with my red color and Gianni with my cut. We've changed up the hue and tone of the red a few times but it's come out perfect every time. If you are looking for any semblance of red in your color, Robert should be your go to. All of my cuts have been amazing also, including once when Gianni fixed a bad bang cut I'd gotten from someone else. They are both highly consultative, creative and skilled. The salon is bright and open, good music. Parking is usually pretty easy but give yourself a few extra minutes if you're driving, it is Capital Hill. Highly recommend!

Not only did she deliver an amazing haircut, but she also provided a lovely experience overall. Tracy's attention to detail and her ability to listen to my preferences while also offering helpful suggestions truly impressed me. She was easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process.What's even more remarkable is that Tracy accommodated me as a walk-in customer, even after closing time. I had reached out to her in the morning, and despite not receiving a response, she went above and beyond to fit me in after hours. That level of dedication and customer service is truly commendable. Julia Chiang: Such a lovely experience with Tracy. I didn't really know what I wanted having not gotten a real haircut for years, but she had some great recommendations. I loved the result and she even curled my hair at the end!! Price was $85 for a women's long cut at the time but I will definitely be back.

Kim Do: I can't express enough how much I love my hair cut from Ho Ming. It's without a doubt the best cut I've had. I came in with an idea of what I wanted but he was able to walk me through the process and gave reccomendations based on his many years of experience. I'm glad I trusted him as it turned out amazing. He understands Asian hair very well and was able to apply the proper techniques for the best results.On top of that, he's an amazing conversationalist. I really much enjoyed talking to him during our session. I walked away from my visit with the cutest hair and a bunch of styling tips. Will definitely be coming back for more appointments with Ho Ming in the future.

Stephanie Durette: Antonio is an amazing person. I have stage 4 MBC and needed help making my wig not look like a wig. He spent so much time with me and even gave what hair I have left a little trim. Victoria Castaneda: I was employed by Antonio march 2022 and sadly I had to leave at that time after a few months working for him because I had to move back to Texas. I moved back to Washington but I live far now and all I can say is Antonio is the best person to work with. He knows his stuff and taught me soooo much that no other stylist could ever teach me. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t know half the things I do now. He is amazing all round as a person and I’m grateful to have met him!!!!

He encouraged an open dialogue & assured me how much my feedback throughout our process & hair relationship was welcomed and needed. His has a beautiful energy, very professional and shared his knowledge about color, hair & hair care. He took his time explaining the coloring process and why I may have encountered challenges to reach my hair color goals. Christopher Matthias: Leah Stang is a wizard.For my money, there is no one who gives a better short cut. I’ve been getting my hair cut by Leah since 2021. Like other reviewers, I am a devoted fan. The level of care that she puts into each cut is far beyond anything I’ve experienced.Before I ever sat in Leah’s chair, I read a review about her at a previous shop. They’d mentioned what a great conversationalist she is. That was a draw for me. But I also go into most things with an ounce of doubt. Lots of barbers and hairdressers are able to hold a conversation, and what counts as “good” is highly subjective. Whatever doubt I’d held was shattered on cut #1. She is as insightful as she is funny.I actively look forward to my haircuts with Leah because first of all, I’m going to have a great time with her. Lynne O'Brien: I have been going to Red Chair since they opened, and have been going to owner/stylist, Amy, even longer. She listens to my vision and makes it work for my hair. She suggests products that actually work for my hair. Speaking of products, Red Chair has their own line of products and the H2O shampoo and conditioner keeps my hair healthy, shiny, and smells like a creamsicle. The shop has a fun vibe and every other stylist or front desk person has been friendly and welcoming even when they are insanely busy. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you can get a walk-in appointment, but you may have to plan ahead to schedule a few appointments with your favorite stylist.

Jamie: I've very very rarely left the hair salon with a happy result and I'm so happy to say that Dolly from the Red Chair Salon gave me the best haircut I've ever had. Literally writing this in my car right after my appointment because I had to get this out there.
