Finally I pulled the trigger, Sarah called me almost immediately after I submitted the form and was refreshingly frank and open so I knew what to expect - outcome, price, experience. In retrospect, it probably would have been more helpful to Nadya if I came prepared with photos to share, illustrating the new style I wanted, but she assured me she got it.Well, she nailed it. I love my new hairstyle! Is it the cheapest cut? Absolutely not, but c'mon guys... Treat yourself.The salon is also a great space. Kayden LaBrake: On 4/15/2024 I saw Morgan Hemingway for fractional resurfacing on my face. She was confident during the process, and let me know what/when she was doing throughout it. She numbed my face, so there was not much discomfort. It felt a bit warm and stingy, but that was expected. Working with Morgan was easy and comfortable. Afterwards my face was a bit sore and raw feeling, but by the next day started feeling better. I look forward to seeing her again in the near future. I also attached a few photos to show what it looked like a day post the appointment.

I mentioned that I like to keep my hair pretty low maintenance, and Maritza cut in in a style that doesn't need any styling or product to look just right. It not only looks super sharp and flattering when it's freshly cut, but it grows out beautifully, so I can go four or five months between appointments, and enjoy a shaggier look while still feeling confident that it looks good. And when it's time to get it cut I just show up at Vain, knowing that I'll get to spend an hour chatting with Maritza, and leave with a haircut that not only makes me look good, but makes me feel like the best version of myself.

If you want to feel extra pampered, the Hydrafacial is luxurious. It will leave your face hydrated, clear, bright, and plump like a newborn baby. If you opt for a dermaplaning, you can be confident that your aesthetician will have a precise and deft hand. They use extremely sharp surgical steel razors that will completely exfoliate off the top layer of dead skin cells and peach fuzz without scratching your face or causing excessive irritation. Every aesthetician I’ve worked with at Ananya is highly knowledgable, gentle, and professional. I do like to ask for Naomi if she’s available, but truly everyone I’ve met here is fantastic!Your aesthetician may leave a couple of skincare product recommendations for you at the counter. I’m a big fan of the Eminence line they carry as it’s super gentle, clean, and affordable. The lip treatment trio, strawberry rhubarb hyaluronic masque, and hyaluronic hydrator all are on repeat for me.Massages:I’ve had relaxing Swedish massages, and intense deep tissue massages here alike. Both have been positive experiences. For the past year, I have been seeing Jay once a month for deep tissue, and this has done WONDERS for chronic migraines and tension headaches. I swear, Jay is akin to a magician! They have helped release years of muscle tension caused by anxiety, constant high heel wearing, and teeth grinding. I truly can’t recommend them enough. Your massage therapist will listen intently to your needs and concerns to provide you with the most beneficial experience based on their expertise. True experts in their field. Don’t snooze on the add ons as they can really enhance your massage. Personally, I like to opt for the CBD oil when I’m getting a deep tissue massage. Hot rocks and Gua Sha are also fun choices for inflammation and relaxation. Make sure you schedule time after your massage to rest, and drink lots of water!Misc.I’ve never had an issue finding street parking on Elliott right out front.I really can’t recommend Ananya enough!

Yvonne Ontiveros: I went to this salon based on a friend’s recommendation. Her stylist wasn’t available but Lorenzo was so I booked based on other positive reviews. I got a cut and partial foil. I love my hair and how it turned out. The biggest surprise by this visit was the expensive bill at the end. I have lived all over the world and have never paid this high of a price. Out of shock and character for me, I asked him to break down the cost. He charged $130 for a haircut and $195 for partial highlights. With tip I walked out nearly $400 out of my pocket. I don’t have especially long hair or anything to justify this exorbitant price. It felt like there had to be a mistake. The only advice I can give before booking with this salon is call ahead to see what kind of bill you might end up with.

Holly Hunter: I've been a follower of Kelly for over a decade, and wouldn't go anywhere else! She's been coloring my hair for so long I don't even really need to fine tune my asks because she knows what looks great on me and how to guide me when I do happen to come in with a strange request to try. Barbara Leaf SPED: erika is a master of fine hair. she gave my straight, fine, thin and limp hair a lovely, easy-maintenance look. when i told her i do not like to style my hair, and prefer a wash and go cut, she delivered. many stylists have used product, tools and techniques to give my hair a great finished look...but one that i cannot replicate at home. erika used a dash of aveda volumizing tonic and a diffuser to gently dry and scrunch my hair, producing a finish that mimicked air drying. i was able to recreate the look at home easily. although the "fantasy" look is fun, i appreciated her focus on reality, so that i did not end up disappointed a few days later. thank you, erika, for your attention to my preferences, and beautiful detail!
