Anyone who walks in the door will immediately realize how special the main room is. What sets this venue above so many others though, is the attention to detail by the staff, which includes food & beverage. Absolutely top-tier. And to have so much space, all of which is beautiful, out of the Seattle weather, is also very hard to come by. 10/10 would recommend.

The secluded location is perched on top of the Magnolia neighborhood overlooking Elliott Bay with a panoramic view of the Emerald City skyline. If you have the means, book your private wedding, corporate party, photo/film shoot or special event at this historic place.

Craig K: The Admiral's House is a truly one-of-a-kind venue that captures the essence of Seattle. If you tour this venue for a wedding and they have availability around your desired time frame - snatch it up as they will go quickly. The venue is a blank canvas as all of the catering/tables/chairs/flowers have to be locked down from other vendors. If you are looking for something turnkey where the venue provides you everything, this is not the place for you. When we were not working 60 hours/week for our career, my wife and I pretty much took 12 months of planning into making this THE most memorable night of our lives and a decision we will not regret

Ashley Ferris: Melrose was our dream venue, and our wedding day was a dream to fit. Every detail that we imagined was perfectly executed, from the linens to the silverware, to the centerpieces. We had a bit of a challenge when we dropped our neon sign off to be installed on the wall and realized I didn’t think through how to hang it. Kimball came to the rescue and literally drove in rush hour traffic to get fishing like for us to make sure our sign was hung before our ceremony. The entire staff of Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes were attentive and kind and food was delicious. We were staffed with two bartenders and there was never a wait. Things ran smoothly the entire night so that my husband and I were able to enjoy ourselves.I cannot recommend Kimball enough. She honestly made everything so stress free, and made us feel like a friend instead of a client. She went above and beyond in every aspect of the year and day leading up to our wedding, and we feel so loved and cared for. If I could give her 10 stars I would!

Nicole Caldwell: Great wedding reception venue! I went here for a friend's reception and it was cool and we could be as loud as we wanted. There was space to dance, eat, and get drinks at a bar. The string lights and brick backdrop are super cool without having to do anything to them.

They answered any of our questions in a timely manner, were flexible when we needed to make sudden changes, always positive and excited to help us with whatever we needed.The day of our wedding all the staff we encountered were friendly, professional, and on top of it! The food was absolutely amazing, all our guests could not stop raving about their meal that night. All the staff made sure we had anything we needed, they would continually check in on us and bring as additional drinks or food as we mingled with our guests. Even when we ran out of beer during our cocktail hour, the staff not only brought in more beer from their warehouse but at one point even went to the store to purchase more to ensure our guests could continue to enjoy their drink of choice.Our wedding reception was absolutely perfect, thank you to the amazing staff at Melrose Market Studios. We highly recommend Melrose Market Studios as one of the top wedding venues in Seattle!

They have great indoor and outdoor space, an integrated sound system for a DJ to plug into, and really fun vintage decor. The food and drinks were excellent -- the chef even helped us make a custom Bob’s Burgers style “burger of the day” as one of our appetizers.But what makes Georgetown Ballroom truly special are the wonderful people who work there. We worked primarily with Nancy Neyhart for more than a year to make every detail perfect. Nancy was responsive to my many, many questions, transparent with us about costs and allowed us to tour the venue multiple times as we were planning our decorations and details. Nancy and the team at Georgetown did more than help us plan a wedding -- they helped us share our love story.And I can’t go without mentioning the massive hiccup Nancy helped us navigate. On our wedding day, my husband woke up sick, and for more than a few moments, I thought we were going to have to cancel. But the Georgetown Ballroom team went above and beyond to ensure everything went according to schedule. Nancy helped keep me calm, and even brought my husband cold packs and ginger beer in his getting ready suite.We would recommend Georgetown Ballroom a hundred times over for all types of events. We will be forever grateful to Nancy and her team for her care and dedication to making our wedding happen.

Months later we tasted the food. We were a little nervous that we’d booked the venue without knowing what the included food tasted like. And oh my. We ended up adding more options than we initially planned because everything was so delicious! It was so good that some of our guests wanted to come back and have a dinner after the wedding! We got so much good feedback about the venue, the location with views of the water, and the food from all our guests. Lastly, the people. Tasia and JJ were one of the best parts of the venue. The amount they love the space, the patience they had answering all our questions, how much they wanted to constantly help make it the wedding of our dreams. This place has the whole package.

Joseph Orefice: This venue was an easy choice for our wedding.  The vibe, nice bathrooms with gender neutrality option, amazing get ready spaces, wonderful staff, beautiful and flexible/spacious layout, and LGBTQ inclusivity really stood out for us.  The working sessions to confirm details, build the timeline of what happens when, and table layout was a huge timesaver for us. The food tasting session exceeded our expectations, and made us so excited for everyone to enjoy the menu.  We were so pleased with how easy the team accommodated changes, how quickly they responded to any inquiries, and helped us to be prepared.  They clearly worked hard to ensure our wedding day went as planned. Overall, we really can’t think of anything we would have liked the venue staff to do differently.  The day was everything we had hoped and planned for.

Emily Wise: the decor is top notch! It is a DANCE VENUE! We couldn't have hosted the dance party we did without the space of Imperia. It was idyllic. From the very beginning, JJ and Tasia were so communicative, accommodating, and focused on creating the event of our dreams! JJ's flowers matched the paper products my mom made PERFECTLY. It made for such a cohesive, polished look. Tasia was so flexible with our "alternative " requests for a private dinner in the back

She did a great job, was a pleasure to work with, she was super communicative and made sure everything was done with all vendors and coordination. The only thing I would change is that I would have done the entire planning package because our experience was so great-it is totally worth it.The venue is beautiful and spacious. It's also in a perfect area for taking wedding photos. The rental also comes with table and chairs. We decided to add the photo both last minute and it turned out to be one of the best parts of the reception. We had a great experience with The 101.

I would recommend 32 uplights and 4 speakers to round out the sound. Anything less will look sparse. Melissa Trejo: were all lovely to work with and professional through and through. They very genuinely seemed to want for our event to be a success and to support us in order to make it so. Be aware if you are considering an event here, that Block 41 have a list of vendors they prefer clients use for their events which may or may not be an issue for your event, but it's worth noting if you already have certain vendors booked or in mind to use. There is further info about it on their website, but as with anything just be sure to ask a lot of questions about all details when event planning. Other reviewers have made mention of not feeling safe in the neighborhood, but for those who are already city dwellers, sadly I don't think it seemed any more so than other parts of Seattle or in certain areas of other major cities. As the owner previously responded to another reviewer, it is part of a much larger conversation within Seattle and the world as a whole which is beyond Block 41's control. We hired a security guard and had no issues. This is a charming event space with lots of personality and well worth considering for weddings, parties, conferences, and events of all shapes.

Steve Gillespie: Block 41 was amazing. A beautiful venue with excellent staff who accommodated the unique vision for our wedding. Our theme was “wedding and wrestling” and Block 41 didn’t hesitate to help us with moving and constructing a full wrestling ring in their space. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Ryan Mendez-Tucker: My husband and I absolutely loved having our wedding at Block 41 in July 2023. The venue is stunning, and the customizable lighting enhances its beauty. The space is huge, and we were fully able to utilize the two floors and outdoor courtyard for our wedding. We had the ceremony upstairs with the abundance of natural light that just made everything feel warm and welcoming, then had guests go downstairs for cocktail hour while the upstairs space was flipped from ceremony to dinner/reception. The downstairs space is fully customizable with LED lighting, and we were able to create a super cool atmosphere with the lighting and music from the DJ. Guests absolutely loved the outdoor courtyard and the Seattle mural was a big hit for photos throughout the night. The built-in amenities, including private “getting ready” space, full prep kitchens on each floor, hookups for A/V equipment, and furniture, were absolutely amazing, and no other venue we researched for our wedding even came close to having what Block 41 offers. Block 41 is beautiful and offers so many options for hosting events/weddings large or small. Beyond the space itself, the staff were absolute life-savers throughout the process. Heli was so helpful in providing so much information and advice that was invaluable in our planning process. She is responsive, flexible, and experienced, and was a dream to work with. She was also there to help make sure everything went smoothly during our rehearsal and our wedding day. We would ABSOLUTELY choose Block 41 again and would recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing venue.

She was very professional but also warm, supportive, and thoughtful. We faced hardship during our year of planning and she let us know she was there for us and gave us lots of grace when we needed to take time away from planning or took longer to give responses. I felt very unprepared to dive into the world of wedding planning after the engagement. Alyssa helped me feel more comfortable with all the ins and outs of wedding culture in our area today. When the posy bouquets for my mom and grandma were missing, she made sure they materialized before they walked down the aisle. And when we needed more room on the dance floor, she made sure the tables and chairs got pushed back so everyone had room to move.Nothing will ever go 100% according to plan, but with Pacific Engagements nobody ever knew that our special day was anything other than exactly as we planned it to be! I knew early on I would need a wedding planner to help us in coordinating our dream wedding and was so happy that I found Pacific Engagements! Her webpage as well as social media accounts showcases her attention to fine details and had the aesthetics we were looking for. Alyssa is a class act - she is super professional, easy to communicate with, fast to respond and was just a dream to work with! I can't tell you how many times she has saved us during this whole process, offering her sound judgment and advice from her years of experience in the wedding industry. A day prior to our wedding day, we were contacted by the transportation agency we originally booked stating that the vintage car we wanted was not going to be ready in time for the wedding due to mechanical issues. Danielle Hert: Alyssa at Pacific Engagements was the best wedding planner and helped us create the most perfect day we could have imagined! As one of the first couples amongst our friends to get married, we hadn’t been to a ton of weddings and weren’t completely sure where to even start with planning. Alyssa made things so easy for us with vendor recommendations, setting expectations, and checking in with us on a regular basis. We first met with Alyssa in June 2019 for our August 2020 wedding, however, in March 2020 we ultimately decided to postpone our wedding to September 2021 due to COVID-19. In a completely stressful time, Alyssa was a rock and so supportive! She helped us reschedule our venue and all of our vendors - luckily we were able to move everything to our new date with no issues. When we weren’t able to reach one of our vendors, Alyssa quickly stepped in, was able to contact the vendor and problem solve. Alyssa was always up to date on the ever changing COVID wedding restrictions, able to provide guidance and always so positive! Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and went perfectly. We didn’t feel stressed at all on our wedding day and were able to be fully present and enjoy the day with our guests. It was so nice not to have to worry about all the little details and logistics going on behind the scenes. We spent over two years working with Alyssa and it was so much fun getting to know her and planning our dream wedding. We could not have done it without her!

I went to multiple venues with my partner and they couldn't care less about my wedding! They focused on other couples that had larger guest counts and didn't seem at all interested in learning about us or our theme. I could have picked a more expensive, enchanted forest or winery, this and that, but ultimately I chose Robinswood because I felt like Mike and Joanna actually cared that I was having a wedding! That was more important to me than any other cool wedding venue location or feature.We did also spend significantly less than we would have elsewhere, since most venues start with a high rental cost that comes with nothing. It was so helpful to know we had restrooms, chairs, tables, and that we could get alcohol included. The sound system was excellent too and easy to use!I highly recommend! Thank you again Mike & Joanna!

Tracey Taverner: . The place just looks absolutely gorgeous, especially with the patio lighting set up. We got so many compliments from guests about the venue. My favorite part was getting to do first look photos in the nearby forest. There are so many photo locations within just a few yards of the venue.Our guests especially liked the bartender provided by Robinswood House. Due to city regulations, we could only offer beer and wine. But Joanna and Mike worked with us to create two wonderful cocktails to include that everyone loved. Someone said it was the best old fashioned they ever had. They have a limited list of approved caterers, and some are quite pricey, but we hired Act 3 and were thrilled with the pricing and the quality of the food.We highly recommend hosting your wedding at Robinswood House.

We fell in love with the venue as soon as we saw it, and it turned out to be PERFECT for our wedding. I loved the intimate backyard vibe and all my guests commented on how beautiful it was. Joanna was incredibly helpful throughout the wedding planning process and I was so thankful to find a more affordable location. Could not recommend this venue enough!

M B: Recently went to a reception here. Was impressed with the space. It had a lot of versatility and was gorgeous. Staff were amazing and super helpful. Parking situation wasn't idyllic, but definitely a fair tradeoff for how great the experience was.

David Do: .The only thing about the venue that I’d known earlier was that only a certain number of people fit under the tents, if your wedding is during a time of year that might rain. We invited 170 guests and I wish we’d done more like 120 because it was very stressful trying to plan to squeeze everyone under that tent for dinner since unfortunately this spring lasted so long. It did work out and it was fabulous!Another thing that is good to know is you won’t know your guaranteed rehearsal date until 30 days before. We made a few plans for anticipating possible times, since we couldn’t wait until a month before for family and wedding party to book flights. Since the venue is public during non-event hours, it is possible to rehearse on your own time as well, which is very convenient!It is also good to be aware they have a list of caterers to pick from. We picked Twelve Baskets and they were amazing! Other things we liked about the venue is they provide tables, linen, arch, beer/wine and sound system, some décor, as well as a super hands on approach to planning, layouts and recommendations. Robinswood park is a beautiful place for photos, especially the forested areas.Some more unique things we did were have live musician instead of DJ, set out lawn games and board games and played the Shoe Game instead of dancing, and have a popcorn bar and dessert time! Joanna helped coordinate for all of these, such as moving the ceremony setup out of the way for games. We didn’t feel like we had any big surprises on the day of because everything had been anticipated and planned for. And as you can see from the photos, everything looked magical!

Megan Rykaczewski: Robinswood House was the absolute best venue for our wedding and made all of my visions come to life. To start, the space is so stunning and full of so much natural greenery and flowers that we didn't feel the need to overly decorate. The house is also a great backdrop and a perfect place to get ready with spacious bridal and grooms suites. Joanna and Mike were incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process and made sure that no small detail got overlooked. We heard from all of our guests how stunning the venue was and how well laid-out the venue was which was incredibly important to us and our guest experience. So grateful to have such wonderful memories from Robinswood House and would 100% recommend to any couple!

After we toured the venue, which was the first venue we toured, we knew immediately that AXIS was the place for us. The unique thing about this venue is not only its beautiful brick walls, large archways, and industrial-modern vibes - its the amazing people that work at the venue including Erin, Melissa, and Jamie. These three people are the heart and soul of this gorgeous, historical venue and they will go above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience possible on your event day.Over the course of our wedding planning process, we worked with Melissa and Erin who provided countless recommendations, offered brilliant ideas on how to best utilize the space, and were always so genuinely invested in us. They brought so much energy and enthusiasm to the planning process, and we really got to know them through regular email communications, monthly art walks, open houses, and walkthroughs with our vendors. Simply put, they are professionals and won’t let you down. On the actual day of our wedding, Jamie was our Venue Manager and she facilitated set-up at the venue and was so attentive to our needs. She truly makes sure your day is special. In terms of the venue, it requires minimal design and decor as it’s already so breathtaking! Therefore, anything you bring in only elevates the space to a whole new level. AXIS also has partnerships with local caterers, florists, rental companies, lighting specialists, planners, etc. which provides for an easy selection of the best vendors to accompany your venue rental. We also had the option to rent out the alley behind the venue, which we did, and it provided the perfect environment for our friends and family to enjoy cocktails, chat, and catch a breath of fresh air after dancing the night away. Ultimately, AXIS and its staff are the best in the industry. We may have started off as strangers, but AXIS soon became part of our family! We highly recommend AXIS for your wedding or event, you truly won’t be disappointed!

The brick is gorgeous and the AXIS team is really flexible when it comes to decor - minimal restrictions compared to a lot of venues! Melissa and Erin are also so lovely to work with. They’re super friendly, responsive to questions, and easy to communicate with. No complaints about AXIS and would definitely recommend it to others!

Thuy Mack: Motown Under the Stars at The Olympic Rooftop had a Amazing live band playing! It is a beautiful, clean, safe venue! The staff are all very nice and helpful. We were able to enjoy the whole night without smelling pot smoking and vaping! We will be back again for more events!

Chelle Allen: Beautiful venue. Great band played 90s classics perfectly. Fireplace. Bar. Indoor but view of Sound. I’ll go back for certain. Plus Old Ballard was awesome.

The servers and bartender were very professional and our guests had wonderful things to say about them after. Something we would like to share is that a heads up to others looking to have an event here is there is no bridal or grooms gathering area

Korynne Leon: I’ve gone to three shows now at CUTS, Ella to Alicia, Amy Winehouse, and Frank Sinatra and each time was so splendid! The environment is intimate, casual, and cozy. The musicians are very talented and everyone is so friendly. The vibes are immaculate and I will be back plenty of times more!

As a rooftop bar, which it isn’t, not so much. But the view is still pretty if you can convince the staff to let you have a look.

Two, in-depth questionnaires. One to fill out alone and one to fill out as a couple. Simply going through the process of answering the questions brings you and your significant other, closer. It's almost like therapy! Anne Marie then takes your answers, your stories, and creates a beautiful, moving, heartfelt ceremony, with a touch of humor. My fiance and I had been together for 20 years, and we literally fell completely in love all over again as Anne Marie spoke. It was so intimate, beautiful and heartfelt. It could not have been more perfect. She is also a source of advice, guidance and care. I knew from the moment I heard her voice on the phone that we were in good hands. She literally takes a lead in your dance and guides you through it all. She is nurturing, full of spark, and has a passion for her art that comes clearly shining through in her delivery. Whether you are planning a huge wedding or an elopement, as we did, I highly recommend Anne Marie.

She was able to customize our ceremony to add in an honoring of my mom and provided emotional support throughout one of the hardest times of my life leading up to the best day of my life! Joe Tobiason (Wedding photographer): What a fantastic venue! It is really a wonderful size. It's big enough for a great party, but doesn't feel overwhelmingly huge. I love the rich wood look and classic styling. And the moveable tables and walls inside really are smartly made so you can adjust the day to whatever you really need! I highly recommend it!

kkaelynnmm: The Metropolist was the perfect venue for our wedding due to its stand alone beauty and flexibility regarding vendors. Andi was very helpful from the beginning of the process. From taking the tours , to answering questions she was always willing to answer quickly and friendly despite her busy schedule. Parking in Seattle was a big concern for many of our guests when we said we were getting married in Seattle , but no one had issues finding parking on the street. The included security guard that comes with the venue was appreciated due to the location or the venue and it made us feel much more safe knowing someone was watching the front door. I am so happy we chose the Metropolist for our wedding!

Nicole Agne: We had our wedding at the Metropolist this fall and it was our dream wedding! Andi was amazing at communicating - from when I booked the venue down to the day of, she is prompt, attentive and responsive to all questions. I planned a majority of the wedding myself, and she was extremely patient with all of my questions and offered so much consultation and support leading up. She was also available for questions the day of and all venue support she provided was seamless from the crane to the lights.The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. Metropolist lets you bring in your own vendors so you can truly make your day your own. Everything from catering to alcohol we brought in and it was perfect. It also helps save money by bringing in your own vendors so you can tailor to your budget!Lastly, Andi is a dog lover and Metropolist allows dogs. Our sweet golden retriever was the ring bearer and it was icing on the cake for a fantastic experience.100/10 would recommend the Metropolist and working with Andi!
