kkaelynnmm: The Metropolist was the perfect venue for our wedding due to its stand alone beauty and flexibility regarding vendors. Andi was very helpful from the beginning of the process. From taking the tours , to answering questions she was always willing to answer quickly and friendly despite her busy schedule. Parking in Seattle was a big concern for many of our guests when we said we were getting married in Seattle , but no one had issues finding parking on the street. The included security guard that comes with the venue was appreciated due to the location or the venue and it made us feel much more safe knowing someone was watching the front door. I am so happy we chose the Metropolist for our wedding!

Andi was amazing at communicating - from when I booked the venue down to the day of, she is prompt, attentive and responsive to all questions. I planned a majority of the wedding myself, and she was extremely patient with all of my questions and offered so much consultation and support leading up. She was also available for questions the day of and all venue support she provided was seamless from the crane to the lights.The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. Metropolist lets you bring in your own vendors so you can truly make your day your own. Everything from catering to alcohol we brought in and it was perfect. It also helps save money by bringing in your own vendors so you can tailor to your budget!Lastly, Andi is a dog lover and Metropolist allows dogs. Our sweet golden retriever was the ring bearer and it was icing on the cake for a fantastic experience.100/10 would recommend the Metropolist and working with Andi!

Craig K: The Admiral's House is a truly one-of-a-kind venue that captures the essence of Seattle. If you tour this venue for a wedding and they have availability around your desired time frame - snatch it up as they will go quickly. The venue is a blank canvas as all of the catering/tables/chairs/flowers have to be locked down from other vendors. If you are looking for something turnkey where the venue provides you everything, this is not the place for you. When we were not working 60 hours/week for our career, my wife and I pretty much took 12 months of planning into making this THE most memorable night of our lives and a decision we will not regret

She did a great job, was a pleasure to work with, she was super communicative and made sure everything was done with all vendors and coordination. Not to mention The 101 team made the venue look incredible. The only thing I would change is that I would have done the entire planning package because our experience was so great-it is totally worth it.The venue is beautiful and spacious. It's also in a perfect area for taking wedding photos. The rental also comes with table and chairs. We decided to add the photo both last minute and it turned out to be one of the best parts of the reception. We had a great experience with The 101.

Be aware if you are considering an event here, that Block 41 have a list of vendors they prefer clients use for their events which may or may not be an issue for your event, but it's worth noting if you already have certain vendors booked or in mind to use. There is further info about it on their website, but as with anything just be sure to ask a lot of questions about all details when event planning. Other reviewers have made mention of not feeling safe in the neighborhood, but for those who are already city dwellers, sadly I don't think it seemed any more so than other parts of Seattle or in certain areas of other major cities. As the owner previously responded to another reviewer, it is part of a much larger conversation within Seattle and the world as a whole which is beyond Block 41's control. We hired a security guard and had no issues. This is a charming event space with lots of personality and well worth considering for weddings, parties, conferences, and events of all shapes.

Our theme was “wedding and wrestling” and Block 41 didn’t hesitate to help us with moving and constructing a full wrestling ring in their space. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Ryan Mendez-Tucker: My husband and I absolutely loved having our wedding at Block 41 in July 2023. The venue is stunning, and the customizable lighting enhances its beauty. The space is huge, and we were fully able to utilize the two floors and outdoor courtyard for our wedding. We had the ceremony upstairs with the abundance of natural light that just made everything feel warm and welcoming, then had guests go downstairs for cocktail hour while the upstairs space was flipped from ceremony to dinner/reception. The downstairs space is fully customizable with LED lighting, and we were able to create a super cool atmosphere with the lighting and music from the DJ. Guests absolutely loved the outdoor courtyard and the Seattle mural was a big hit for photos throughout the night. The built-in amenities, including private “getting ready” space, full prep kitchens on each floor, hookups for A/V equipment, and furniture, were absolutely amazing, and no other venue we researched for our wedding even came close to having what Block 41 offers. Block 41 is beautiful and offers so many options for hosting events/weddings large or small. Beyond the space itself, the staff were absolute life-savers throughout the process. Heli was so helpful in providing so much information and advice that was invaluable in our planning process. She is responsive, flexible, and experienced, and was a dream to work with. She was also there to help make sure everything went smoothly during our rehearsal and our wedding day. We would ABSOLUTELY choose Block 41 again and would recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing venue.

Allie Goodman: We got married at The Foundry by Herban Feast and used them for catering as well. First off, The Foundry is an amazing venue!! The overall flow of the whole space is perfect and if you want everyone on the dance floor all night, this is the place to do it. The bar is right by the dance floor and we put the dessert/late night snack near there as well. Herban Feast also nails it with their food! Everything was delicious and unique. Food was super important to us and they delivered. I highly recommend both The Foundry and Herban Feast!

BJ and his crew had great communication the week of my wedding and on the day of it was like meeting an old friend, instantly putting me at ease. All our guests loved the menu and the food, fresh ingredients and tasteful presentation sealed the success of dinner. We did go over budget but it was worth it and I have no regrets. I would choose Herban Feast again for my next event. Judy Temes: We can't thank BJ and the Herban Feast crew enough for everything they did to make our daughter's dream wedding come true, making it the most beautiful event imaginable. But first, a story. First there was Covid, which necessitated a smaller event than planned. Then came the fires in eastern Washington, where we planned to host about 100 people. With three weeks to go before the big day, all our plans had to be changed and moved to Seattle. BJ came to the rescue, finding us the most amazing venue -- Amor & Paz on Vashon Island. All our guests agreed that we could not have found a more gorgeous setting had we started planning three years before! And BJ secured this beautiful garden wedding just three weeks before our guests were to arrive. Beyond this, BJ worked with our daughter whose wish was to have her friends camp out. He made this dream come true as well. On top of this, he worked with us to help us fit the whole thing into our budget. On the day of the event, the crew was diligent, professional, and super nice! The food was over the top delicious. Every guest said this was honestly the best, most beautiful wedding they've attended. BJ, Lisa and everyone, you are the best and we owe you a huge debt of gratitude for making our daughter's dream wedding happen.

Michael Shan: Woodland Meadow Farms was the only venue we visited and we fell in love with it immediately - we loved the open space, all the trees and landscaping and how flexible the venue was. Little did we know at the time that the staff members at the venue would be so wonderful as well. We got engaged in summer of 2019 and we quickly booked the venue for summer 2020. COVID changed our plans and it was a really emotional time for us and of course we were worried about our wedding venue plans. However, Britney and the whole team were so flexible and accommodating of all the changes we needed. We changed our original wedding date twice and they made it so easy to adjust plans. We heard lots of horror stories of couples not having their money returned to them due to COVID changes, so we feel so fortunate that Woodland Meadow Farms took such good care of us. As we got closer to the wedding date, we were able to visit the venue 3 different times and plan out the logistics of our wedding. They made it easy to coordinate vendor arrivals and many vendors had already worked at the venue in the past. Trevion McClellan: Reserved a room for the view and to be away from the city center. Arrived to champagne, exhausted from my flight and took a shower. Laid down to sleep and after a couple of hours, blaring fire alarm and full-evacuation!! Outside in my undies, fire trucks, a whole thing. Guests blamed the wedding but it was never cleared-up. Plus side was I got to hit the sinful pantry for one night. Chocolate Haagen Dazs make it alright!Beds and bathroom are fine. But I was so exhausted that straw on a cave floor would've done just fine.Cool experience.

One as a bridal hair and makeup vendor and another as a bridesmaid!Im lucky enough to have seen both sides of booking this venue!As a vendor - I LOVE how big the getting ready room is. There is ample light, a large space to work and tall chairs. The married area isn't in the middle of the space so the bridal party has plenty of room to get ready without stepping over each other. ALSO, we were allowed early access so the bridal party can actually get ready AT the venue. This is rare and beautiful lolAs a bridesmaid - The getting ready space is gorgeous and has everything you would need! Even a HUGE three way mirror to check all the angles! They have an adorable heart wall for couples to "brand" their initials into it!From both angles, it's an amazing venue. Beautiful ceremony space both inside and out, amazing staff and extremely kind owner!JUST BOOK IT!!

Seriously our vendors could not stop raving about this place and how easy it would make their job. This venue has equally amazing indoor and outdoor spaces, and they're very flexible with how you use them. It was raining off-and-on so we had our ceremony inside, but stopped by the evening so our guests still enjoyed the outdoor area for the reception. On top of all that, Tami was lovely to work with! This is a true family-run affair and it's very clear they take pride in what they do.

After figuring out I wasn't and opened the door - it is literally like walking into another universe just simply by opening the door. Every room is different with its own art style. Therefore, anything you bring in only elevates the space to a whole new level. AXIS also has partnerships with local caterers, florists, rental companies, lighting specialists, planners, etc. which provides for an easy selection of the best vendors to accompany your venue rental. We also had the option to rent out the alley behind the venue, which we did, and it provided the perfect environment for our friends and family to enjoy cocktails, chat, and catch a breath of fresh air after dancing the night away. Ultimately, AXIS and its staff are the best in the industry. We may have started off as strangers, but AXIS soon became part of our family! We highly recommend AXIS for your wedding or event, you truly won’t be disappointed!

The smell of lavender was amazing and we loved all the honey bees. Our only suggestion would be to arrange for additional restrooms if you had a large party. The on-site facilities are limited to 2 restrooms.

Bollywood Dreams: This is a hidden but a gemma for location if you’re looking to have an outdoor wedding in Seattle during the summer months when the weather is nice especially.
