Christine Malone: We had our wedding reception here in September and The 101 truly exceeded our expectations. We opted for the partial planning wedding package and Alison was our wedding planner. She did a great job, was a pleasure to work with, she was super communicative and made sure everything was done with all vendors and coordination. Not to mention The 101 team made the venue look incredible. The only thing I would change is that I would have done the entire planning package because our experience was so great-it is totally worth it.The venue is beautiful and spacious. It's also in a perfect area for taking wedding photos. The rental also comes with table and chairs. We decided to add the photo both last minute and it turned out to be one of the best parts of the reception. We had a great experience with The 101.

I would recommend 32 uplights and 4 speakers to round out the sound. Anything less will look sparse. Be aware if you are considering an event here, that Block 41 have a list of vendors they prefer clients use for their events which may or may not be an issue for your event, but it's worth noting if you already have certain vendors booked or in mind to use. There is further info about it on their website, but as with anything just be sure to ask a lot of questions about all details when event planning. Other reviewers have made mention of not feeling safe in the neighborhood, but for those who are already city dwellers, sadly I don't think it seemed any more so than other parts of Seattle or in certain areas of other major cities. As the owner previously responded to another reviewer, it is part of a much larger conversation within Seattle and the world as a whole which is beyond Block 41's control. We hired a security guard and had no issues. This is a charming event space with lots of personality and well worth considering for weddings, parties, conferences, and events of all shapes.

Our theme was “wedding and wrestling” and Block 41 didn’t hesitate to help us with moving and constructing a full wrestling ring in their space. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Ryan Mendez-Tucker: My husband and I absolutely loved having our wedding at Block 41 in July 2023. The venue is stunning, and the customizable lighting enhances its beauty. The space is huge, and we were fully able to utilize the two floors and outdoor courtyard for our wedding. We had the ceremony upstairs with the abundance of natural light that just made everything feel warm and welcoming, then had guests go downstairs for cocktail hour while the upstairs space was flipped from ceremony to dinner/reception. The downstairs space is fully customizable with LED lighting, and we were able to create a super cool atmosphere with the lighting and music from the DJ. Guests absolutely loved the outdoor courtyard and the Seattle mural was a big hit for photos throughout the night. The built-in amenities, including private “getting ready” space, full prep kitchens on each floor, hookups for A/V equipment, and furniture, were absolutely amazing, and no other venue we researched for our wedding even came close to having what Block 41 offers. Block 41 is beautiful and offers so many options for hosting events/weddings large or small. Beyond the space itself, the staff were absolute life-savers throughout the process. Heli was so helpful in providing so much information and advice that was invaluable in our planning process. She is responsive, flexible, and experienced, and was a dream to work with. She was also there to help make sure everything went smoothly during our rehearsal and our wedding day. We would ABSOLUTELY choose Block 41 again and would recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing venue.

Overall, it was all so great and Imperia was the best place we could have chosen to get married!

Months later we tasted the food. We were a little nervous that we’d booked the venue without knowing what the included food tasted like. And oh my. We ended up adding more options than we initially planned because everything was so delicious! It was so good that some of our guests wanted to come back and have a dinner after the wedding! We got so much good feedback about the venue, the location with views of the water, and the food from all our guests. Lastly, the people. Tasia and JJ were one of the best parts of the venue. The amount they love the space, the patience they had answering all our questions, how much they wanted to constantly help make it the wedding of our dreams. This place has the whole package.

Joseph Orefice: This venue was an easy choice for our wedding.  The vibe, nice bathrooms with gender neutrality option, amazing get ready spaces, wonderful staff, beautiful and flexible/spacious layout, and LGBTQ inclusivity really stood out for us.  The working sessions to confirm details, build the timeline of what happens when, and table layout was a huge timesaver for us. The food tasting session exceeded our expectations, and made us so excited for everyone to enjoy the menu.  We were so pleased with how easy the team accommodated changes, how quickly they responded to any inquiries, and helped us to be prepared.  They clearly worked hard to ensure our wedding day went as planned. Overall, we really can’t think of anything we would have liked the venue staff to do differently.  The day was everything we had hoped and planned for.

Emily Wise: the decor is top notch! It is a DANCE VENUE! We couldn't have hosted the dance party we did without the space of Imperia. It was idyllic. From the very beginning, JJ and Tasia were so communicative, accommodating, and focused on creating the event of our dreams! JJ's flowers matched the paper products my mom made PERFECTLY. It made for such a cohesive, polished look. Tasia was so flexible with our "alternative " requests for a private dinner in the back

They are also one of the few places in the wedding industry that is so transparent with their pricing and policies which really helps with budgeting.2. The amount of services offered inhouse. They have high quality in house catering and bar services as well as venue decorations and back yard games, they literally had everything we needed for the wedding. They have great indoor and outdoor space, an integrated sound system for a DJ to plug into, and really fun vintage decor. Quality food was a high priority for us and we got lots of compliments -- especially the cod! Highly recommend.

This gorgeous venue is full of charm and history and highly customizable for events big and small. We immediately fell in love with the brick walls, paper lanterns and other thoughtful details throughout the space. The food and drinks were excellent -- the chef even helped us make a custom Bob’s Burgers style “burger of the day” as one of our appetizers.But what makes Georgetown Ballroom truly special are the wonderful people who work there. We worked primarily with Nancy Neyhart for more than a year to make every detail perfect. Nancy was responsive to my many, many questions, transparent with us about costs and allowed us to tour the venue multiple times as we were planning our decorations and details. Nancy and the team at Georgetown did more than help us plan a wedding -- they helped us share our love story.And I can’t go without mentioning the massive hiccup Nancy helped us navigate. On our wedding day, my husband woke up sick, and for more than a few moments, I thought we were going to have to cancel. But the Georgetown Ballroom team went above and beyond to ensure everything went according to schedule. Nancy helped keep me calm, and even brought my husband cold packs and ginger beer in his getting ready suite.We would recommend Georgetown Ballroom a hundred times over for all types of events. We will be forever grateful to Nancy and her team for her care and dedication to making our wedding happen.

She was ridiculously patient with us and addressed every single one of our worries. She also met with us numerous times to help us work with planning and made suggestions and she was just invaluable! Her years of work in the entertainment/wine industry is evident.We played our wedding ceremony video at the beginning of our reception. As I was standing there behind stage, my mind spiraling.... what if people get sick, should have canceled.....Melinda came up to me and said "Remember, tonight is about celebrating the two of you. Just enjoy it."It was exactly what I needed to hear WHEN I needed to hear it.The Factory Luxe is a great venue run by a class act.

David Roberts: This truly a Seattle Time Capsule - it is the old Rainier Brewery Tasting Room - built circa 1950 - think Canlis on a Beer Drinking Budget - but a very Magical Place.. The Stage is Teeny Weeny but intimate club experience if you are there to see a band - Photos of the place in it's hey day and the brewery on the walls - tons of original fixtures and such

Entry has a small entryway that opens to the center of the room, beautiful wooden floors and straight ahead a rock fireplace. To the left is the front with a stage and mens bathrooms on the left, womens on the right. Pretty nice ladies bathroom with sitting room upon entry and 3 stalls 2 sinks and a mirror. To the right of the entry is the bar and a staging area behind that. Was perfect for a wedding and reception 😍

They came to Canvas and redesigned elements of their wedding in a very short amount of time, and it was executed so well here! After we toured the venue, which was the first venue we toured, we knew immediately that AXIS was the place for us. The unique thing about this venue is not only its beautiful brick walls, large archways, and industrial-modern vibes - its the amazing people that work at the venue including Erin, Melissa, and Jamie. These three people are the heart and soul of this gorgeous, historical venue and they will go above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience possible on your event day.Over the course of our wedding planning process, we worked with Melissa and Erin who provided countless recommendations, offered brilliant ideas on how to best utilize the space, and were always so genuinely invested in us. They brought so much energy and enthusiasm to the planning process, and we really got to know them through regular email communications, monthly art walks, open houses, and walkthroughs with our vendors. Simply put, they are professionals and won’t let you down. On the actual day of our wedding, Jamie was our Venue Manager and she facilitated set-up at the venue and was so attentive to our needs. She truly makes sure your day is special. In terms of the venue, it requires minimal design and decor as it’s already so breathtaking! Therefore, anything you bring in only elevates the space to a whole new level. AXIS also has partnerships with local caterers, florists, rental companies, lighting specialists, planners, etc. which provides for an easy selection of the best vendors to accompany your venue rental. We also had the option to rent out the alley behind the venue, which we did, and it provided the perfect environment for our friends and family to enjoy cocktails, chat, and catch a breath of fresh air after dancing the night away. Ultimately, AXIS and its staff are the best in the industry. We may have started off as strangers, but AXIS soon became part of our family! We highly recommend AXIS for your wedding or event, you truly won’t be disappointed!

Sarah Bahn: We were so happy we chose AXIS as our wedding venue! It’s a gorgeous space with plenty of room to spread out and use different parts of the space for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. The brick is gorgeous and the AXIS team is really flexible when it comes to decor - minimal restrictions compared to a lot of venues! Melissa and Erin are also so lovely to work with. They’re super friendly, responsive to questions, and easy to communicate with. No complaints about AXIS and would definitely recommend it to others!

Joe Tobiason (Wedding photographer): What a fantastic venue! It is really a wonderful size. It's big enough for a great party, but doesn't feel overwhelmingly huge. I love the rich wood look and classic styling. And the moveable tables and walls inside really are smartly made so you can adjust the day to whatever you really need! I highly recommend it!

kkaelynnmm: The Metropolist was the perfect venue for our wedding due to its stand alone beauty and flexibility regarding vendors. Andi was very helpful from the beginning of the process. From taking the tours , to answering questions she was always willing to answer quickly and friendly despite her busy schedule. Parking in Seattle was a big concern for many of our guests when we said we were getting married in Seattle , but no one had issues finding parking on the street. The included security guard that comes with the venue was appreciated due to the location or the venue and it made us feel much more safe knowing someone was watching the front door. I am so happy we chose the Metropolist for our wedding!

Nicole Agne: We had our wedding at the Metropolist this fall and it was our dream wedding! Andi was amazing at communicating - from when I booked the venue down to the day of, she is prompt, attentive and responsive to all questions. I planned a majority of the wedding myself, and she was extremely patient with all of my questions and offered so much consultation and support leading up. She was also available for questions the day of and all venue support she provided was seamless from the crane to the lights.The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. Metropolist lets you bring in your own vendors so you can truly make your day your own. Everything from catering to alcohol we brought in and it was perfect. It also helps save money by bringing in your own vendors so you can tailor to your budget!Lastly, Andi is a dog lover and Metropolist allows dogs. Our sweet golden retriever was the ring bearer and it was icing on the cake for a fantastic experience.100/10 would recommend the Metropolist and working with Andi!

Stefan & Audrey: We recently photographed a wedding here, and have done so many times, so we figured it was time for a glowing review. The charm of this venue is undeniable. Anyone who walks in the door will immediately realize how special the main room is. What sets this venue above so many others though, is the attention to detail by the staff, which includes food & beverage. Absolutely top-tier. And to have so much space, all of which is beautiful, out of the Seattle weather, is also very hard to come by. 10/10 would recommend.

The Herban Feast team is also so kind and wonderful at what they do. I loved every minute of my time at Sodo Park, it really is a gem!

Mark Lucht: Great venue. I was recently there to see Teatro Zinzanni. Really a large place, but they shoved too many people into it. I can see Sodo Park as a popular option for wedding receptions and the like. I hope that Teatro Zinzanni finds a differently permanent location, though.

Korynne Leon: I’ve gone to three shows now at CUTS, Ella to Alicia, Amy Winehouse, and Frank Sinatra and each time was so splendid! The environment is intimate, casual, and cozy. The musicians are very talented and everyone is so friendly. The vibes are immaculate and I will be back plenty of times more!

Kim Stirling: The co-working space at Columbia Tower Club is expansive. If you need quiet, there are plenty of rooms to choose from while enjoying the views. If you’d like to be more ‘in the mix’ while getting work done, there is a large space dedicated to socializing, co-working and enjoying a meal. The staff are dedicated to ensuring members and guests have everything they need. I have always felt very welcome and downright pampered. If you are looking for a space away from the home office that has incredible views, plenty of space to get work done and impress clients/guests then this is the spot for you!

Brance Duval: While certainly not as ritzy as the Seattle Yacht Club, the College Club reception and activities room is gorgeously appointed. Lovely view of Lake Union, Queen Anne Hill, the Space Needle and the neighborhood houseboats. The club room comes equipped with a pool table, shuffleboard, poker tables, fireplace, comfy seating area, kitchen, video screens and even a dart board and a selection of board games! It's cozy but there's still a sense of 'niceness' in class, even if not posh.

John Kim: Probably one of the most elite, exclusive and upscale event venues in Seattle. The secluded location is perched on top of the Magnolia neighborhood overlooking Elliott Bay with a panoramic view of the Emerald City skyline. If you have the means, book your private wedding, corporate party, photo/film shoot or special event at this historic place.

Craig K: The Admiral's House is a truly one-of-a-kind venue that captures the essence of Seattle. If you tour this venue for a wedding and they have availability around your desired time frame - snatch it up as they will go quickly. The venue is a blank canvas as all of the catering/tables/chairs/flowers have to be locked down from other vendors. If you are looking for something turnkey where the venue provides you everything, this is not the place for you. When we were not working 60 hours/week for our career, my wife and I pretty much took 12 months of planning into making this THE most memorable night of our lives and a decision we will not regret

The Hall at Fauntleroy was supportive and helped us navigate those changes. I would highly recommend them for a Seattle wedding venue!

Maddie Dautel: This is a long overdue review and thank you to the Hall at Fauntleroy. We started planning our wedding during COVID, so at the time, pretty much everything was virtual. My main point of contact at the Hall was the amazing event manager, Sara. Most of our communication was done via email, and Sara was prompt and detail-oriented in answering all of my questions over the months.The actual day of our wedding could not have been more perfect. The staff at the Hall was amazing in making sure everything ran smoothly and that our needs were taken care of. We were brought drinks and appetizers while we signed our marriage license, which was so thoughtful.A big selling point for us was that the HAF did all of the food and drink in house making it easy for us. Let me tell you, the food was AMAZING. We still have guests telling us months later how fantastic the food was.Overall, our experience at the Hall was above and beyond what we could have asked for. The hospitality, the food, the beauty of the venue - everything was absolutely perfect. Thank you again Sara and everyone!

Jessica Flores: The Hall at Fauntleroy was the perfect venue for our September wedding! Sara was great to work with and answered all my questions leading up to the date. She was really helpful with menu updates and changes - I can't recommend them enough!We rented out the entire venue and it was so nice to have different areas for guests to hang out in. The Emerald Room was stunning in the evening and provided the perfect scene for post-ceremony festivities. Having the ceremony in the garden was so pretty - the trees and greenery created a perfect background and it definitely helped shade us from the unusual September sun and wildfire ash.We had our cocktail hour in the courtyard with a mariachi band playing and it was perfect! Probably one of my favorite parts of the wedding.The FOOD WAS AMAZING - all of our guests commented on how the food was some of the best they ever had.The staff that worked the event were first class: our guests made comments on how helpful and pleasant they were and I couldn't agree more!
