Cozymeal Cooking Classes: what do users think?

Jennifer H: Was such an awesome class! Chef shad was fantastic and the food was great.

Karen Wheless: Very fun. Chef Peter had lots of info to share. The ramen was delicious-be sure to come hungry!

Emma Bankson: We had an amazing time! Great date with your partner or friends. Learned so much from weighing flour vs measuring when making fresh pasta dough, knife skills, and more. Our chef was absolutely amazing as well. We will be taking another class for sure.

Madeleine Farias: Loved Chef Mary! She has great skills to impart and we definitely left the class with new skills of our own. She is funny and easy to chat with, and very encouraging throughout the whole cooking process. Thank you, Chef Mary!

Becky Scott: Chef Unika was very organized & a relaxed teacher. The food was delicious. We had a fun family evening.

Emily Bowden: We went into this class with few expectations, and Chef Mary exceeded all of them! She is very knowledgeable and super fun - you're basically getting dinner and a show. I would say this class is more of a group class geared towards newer chefs, but my boyfriend and I still learned some new skills to add to our repertoire. The class was intimate and fun and the food was delicious. Would definitely take another class with Chef Mary!

Julia Lovelace-Johnson: We had an excellent experience! The chef was friendly, knowledgeable and funny.

James Argento: Class was great. It was small and personal with just two others. Chef Mary was personable and very instrutive. The food we helped prepare was excellent.

Michael Bailey: This cooking class was a lot of fun. Mary was a great instructor and made the class fun!! I highly recommend this class 😀

Mary Ann Lambert: Chef Mary was so enjoyable and funny! We loved this class.

Ginna Cuadra: Lovely time, delicious dinner! 😊

Suzanne Lindsay: This was such a special experience! We learned so much about how to make sushi, but also the ingredients themselves, and the restaurant industry and enjoyed such good company at the table of Chef. Highly recommend Chef Shinya's courses!

The Pantry: what do users think?

Kethnie Moreau: Amazing. Just amazingThank you Bruce. Definitely worth it. Would take another class if I was in town longer!Class is perfect for beginners and people who enjoy being in the kitchen all the time! They have rotating classes that focus on knife skills, brunch, dinner and others focused on locations like Italy France etc. the themes are beautiful. I took the step into spring class they focused on the beautiful local veggies of the area. Anyone can throw a steak on the grill but to make veggies sing is an art form! Learned so many techniques today. Chef Bruce is an amazing teacher and his team was amazing. Service from start to finish.Hand hygiene is high! So everyone felt comfortable. Very clean. Very comfortable space. Open for questions, jokes and learning. Would definitely take another class here at the pantry.

Skip Ferderber: This is one of Seattle's premier cooking schools. Afficionados know that when The Pantry posts its cooking class schedule on the Internet, bookings per class may be gone within the hour, Seriously! Tonight I attended my second class, a 3-hour hands on session on three different Thai noodle dishes. What a treat to cook and taste real Pad Thai that wasn't made with ketchup. Ugh.

Gina So: The classes are great for beginners. I would recommend looking up who's teaching the classes because some of them can be enjoyable or mediocre.

L Coffee: Loved the experience of a cooking class. I know the price point may not be accessible for everyone, but it is a great experience of learning and you have the opportunity to eat together and enjoy what you cooked at the end of the class. I went on my own and easily met the people around me. Everyone was very inclusive and accepting.I took their Fall Farmer's Market class and am excited to take another in the future. I loved learning how to use local foods that are in season to make some delicious well-round meals. you receive a copy of all the recipes as well. I later made the delicious soup as well as the pear deserts at home on my own.

Patricia Melnicki: On Saturday, May 13, my daughters and I hosted a Bridal Shower for my son’s Finacee’ at The Pantry. We made fabulous noodles and feasted on the amazing beef braise Sarah prepared. Everyone loved the experience. Welcoming, warm, professional and incredibly talented. We will definitely be back for additional classes!Thank you!Pat Melnicki

Dafna Bitton: The classes are always epic. Detroit style pizza was dank

Jamie C: I love doing things in the city besides only going out to eat and drink. This was a really fun cooking class. We are locals and enrolled in the salmon class. Figured that's a good first step for PNWers. The instructor was very helpful and knowledgeable about salmon and having lived in the area my whole life, we even learned new things and new parts you can eat!I have taken cooking classes in various areas and at various companies and they are all a little bit different. This one is more collaborative where you work on one large dish per course with most of the team and all eat together I have taken others were each small group of whoever you came with makes their own three courses. It kind of depends on your personal style and how busy and involved you like to be which one you would prefer. This class is pretty slow, paced and relaxing and you get to enjoy wine while you were cooking.Another major plus is that the company is really understanding with food, allergies or restrictions and is able to help you find a class that will work best for you. I really appreciate that with my recent gluten allergy discovery. I have experience, mixed empathy with businesses and would definitely prefer to know if my allergy is a major roadblock to enjoyment and if I would be wasting my money or not. Just be honest!Overall, they change their classes every month, and I definitely would attend again !

Connor D: . The hosts provide a really fun and educational environment and there's lots of natural connection with your fellow classmates, as well as plenty of opportunities to ask questions. You get a sense that you are really learning from the experts!A common sentiment of attendees

Lennart Wong: . It is quite a different experience than having dinner at a restaurant. The people serving you also were the chefs that made the food. So you can ask them about the food and how they made it. The food were so delicious! I think I am hooked!!!

James Mbattiah: Good services

Hot Stove Society: what do users think?

Amanda Sommerville: We attended a private event hosted at the Hot Stove society and had a wonderful time!Tom was there and was friendly and welcoming to every person. All of the chefs/teachers were enthusiastic and informative. The bartenders went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of the whole time. The whole experience was fun, personalized, and interesting. I would absolutely recommend taking a class here / hosting a private event here for anyone!

Rick Vanover: Fun group outing.

L. Campos: Had a great first class with the Hot Stove Society. Everyone seemed to have a good time and learned some things along the way. This hands-on class was programmed for pairs to team up together. So, unless you want a complete stranger handling the food you eat, best to sign up with a relative or close friend. Perhaps not all classes are formatted this way. Look forward to taking more in the future.

Alexander Lavell: Great place for a team outing - fun staff, great food, excellent learning experience.

Teri Camus: We have been wanting to attend a recording of the Hot Stove Society for ever! We had such a good time being a part of the live audience.A wonderful breakfast, and an overall enjoyable way to spend your morning! We love listening to Tom and Thierry, so it was great to see them in person.

Ron “ronskidude”: The Fried Squid we ordered was "too fried" and salty. At first it tasted okay but I guess the salt settled at the bottom. Squid shouldn't really be too fried or else it becomes too chewy. They did remove the fried squid from our bill so that was good. The other things we ordered was pretty good and the ambiance was great. The server was really attentive at first but I guess she got busy.Price is fair, food matches the price except for our bad experience on the fried squid.Parking is plenty but paid.

Soulat Khan: The best team dinner experience. Julie and the HSS staff were incredible 🙏🏼

David De Long: These two chefs are fun to watch and listen to

April: Experienced a team building outing here and loved it! The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and adaptive to the needs and skill level of each group member. They have a wonderful thoughtful thing going here. Regardless of dietary needs, comfort level or background I believe there is something everyone can enjoy about an event here!

Siwen Tang: Had a team event here on a Friday night and it was a great experience! The staff at this workshop and the hotel were so friendly and welcoming! They coordinated so well and the class was really organized!

Ron Storkel: Everything was excellent. Very happy to visited.

Sabrina Englot: The place is nice, clean, organized, and the staff friendly. However it was incredibly boring for a social event and I think is meant to purely be a culinary education course rather than fun activity. The food we tried we good but the portions were small for the cost of course. Not much hands on cooking, hardly at all, which I think led to the lack of fun.

Eric Ringger: Delightful team building activity preparing an Italian meal with personal coaching from house chefs!

Blue Ribbon Cooking: what do users think?

Mary Lee: One of the biggest worries during wedding planning was the food we would serve our guests. Blue Ribbon really stepped up to the plate and delivered some of the best wedding foods, as said by our guests! Planning with Kelsey was a pleasure - she was always so attentive and responsive to all questions and it was just so reassuring to have her on our awesome vendor team. Our complimentary tasting was a great experience, and Kelsey took careful note of our preferences that were perfectly executed on the big day. I wasn't able to get to the desserts they provided, but our guests thoroughly enjoyed them as well. My husband and I love their lavender lemonade!

Adam Hendricks: so I don't consider a few paper towels being on the floor a problem. The only thing I might change would be that my team would have liked to know the exact amount of time we had available prior to our arrival so that we could choose a dish that can be properly prepared in that amount of time or less. All in all it was a very unique and enjoyable experience and I would definitely do it again if the opportunity presented itself.

MJ Koenig: . And your descriptive cards were a very nice and appreciated touch. The venue

Tami Burkley: So much fun, great staff, wonderful team building event. Hopefully will get to go back soon.

Gerardo Casillas: BRC were great to work with, they had a ton of food and beverage options to choose from and were always open to customizations or special requests. They were super accomodating to vegan and gluten dishes as well as we had some special cocktails and desserts in mind and they provided them with no issues. All our guests are still talking about how tasty all was. David S. Was a pleasure to work with and always offering valuable suggestions regarding food, decorations and even layout!

Maria Foster: My team did an Iron Chef competition w/Pike Place shopping event with Blue Ribbon Cooking and it was amazing! The team had a great time and was still raving about it days later. I've been setting up events for Google for 6+ years and this is the best reaction I've ever had at any of my events. The staff was so kind, organized and fun to work with. Everyone loved the aprons Blue Ribbon had embroidered for us and I can say from start to finish, we had a great time.

David Hamid: It was an outstanding experience working with Kelsey and Blue Ribbon over the weekend at a mutual client's wedding. With her expert help, calm demeanor, and positive attitude in coordination, she made my job as the DJ go so smoothly and I believe we exceeded the clients expectations. Everyone was complimenting how the entire formal ceremony and reception went efficiently. I look forward to working with Kelsey and Blue Ribbon in the future. God bless.DJ David @ Groove On Hyde Street DJ

Grace Um: Blue Ribbon catered my baby shower, and I cannot recommend them enough. We probably called and researched 4-5 different caterers, and none of them matched Blue Ribbon's fantastic menu, friendliness and professionalism of their staff, ease of booking/payment, and just overall a wonderful experience. We were lucky enough to have Dave and his team for the event. So many of our guests commented what a lovely job they did and asked what catering company they were with. They were punctual, communicative, self-sufficient, and personable. Thank you so much!

Riley Green: !!

L Noble: Fabulous event catered by Blue Ribbon Cooking yesterday. Wonderful food, beautiful presentation, great service from delightful staff. Absolutely five star job!

Varun Puri: Incredible team offsite!! Dave and patty are awesome

Cornelius Braam: . All of the decorations were perfect, the timeline moved as scheduled, and everyone had a great time. This was only possible with his help. And to top it all off, the food was absolutely delicious, just what we wanted after talking with him and the chefs at our tasting, and in sufficient quantity for all of our guests. I only wish I wasn't so busy so that I could have eaten more of it! I give my highest recommendation to working with BRC and particularly Dave. I would hire them again, but luckily I will not need to have another wedding for myself!

Heli Suokko: I recently had the absolute pleasure of attending an Iron Chef competition at the Blue Ribbon Cooking School with my industry colleagues, I loved every minute of it!Blue Ribbon staff was exceptionally helpful and the competition was beyond fun. Definitely ++ experience and can't recommend highly enough!

Karen Reichert: 😍

Diane's Market Kitchen: what do users think?

Gemma Jing: Fully educational and organic! We are learning a way of lifestyle as well as cooking! This is the place to go!Best broccoli in Seattle is in Diane’s kitchen.

Derek Sakamoto: My husband and I had the MOST AMAZING experience at Diane's Market Kitchen on Valentines Day. Diane has such a warm and inviting presence, and is also a wealth of knowledge with regards to food and food production. As residents of Seattle, she really gave us an education about the abundant produce and protein that are available in the PNW. I wish more people knew about her classes because she presents an experience that is 'so Seattle', and she makes food both interesting and approachable. I cannot wait to take another class with Diane, I highly recommend her business - experiences like these are few and far between these days, and I am so happy that she exists!

Sebastian Arrangoiz: First time I write a review here in Google.I was the only person that showed up to class and Diane still hosted it, which goes on to show how passionate she is about her craft. She even fed me all the dishes we made! She will not only teach how you to cook, but she will also tell you where to get the best ingredients which is also important. Her classes are good for people of all levels, even for donkeys that can't cook like myself! Diane is friendly, energetic, charismatic and has a strong passion for food and cooking. Strongly recommend her. If you got a date or a foodie friend, this is the place to go.

Laurent Pepin: Amazing experience. We cooked delicious food while learning about everything that goes into making great meals. Will definitely go again.

Jordan Shrago: Amazing experience. A group of us went for a work/team event and had a blast. It is a very cute/quaint space right by the water. This is how cooking classes should be. You get to participate and learn a lot of practical knowledge along the way. Everything was delicious. Great atmosphere. I would do this once a month if I lived in Seattle.

heidi balus: Diane truly cares about delivering an amazing experience. Her knowledge of the community, food, plus her wit made this an extraordinary experience for our team. You will come away feeling like you spent some time with family you didn’t know you had and they fed you a really delicious meal.

Kelsey K: Diane's Market Kitchen was an incredible experience! We had so much fun. Diane is so personable, skilled, and knowledgable. You can tell that she is truly passionate about her work, and she took the time to make the experience personal and special. I immediately recommended Diane's class to my whole friend group and enthusiastically encourage anyone to go!

Whitney Baglien: A fantastic experience, period. Connected with her and the class as a whole so much. I’m not being dramatic when I say my creativity was sparked again for my passion of cooking. Cooking can heal the body if done correctly and she portrayed that with her passion of cooking. The stories she tells and the knowledge she has about food makes me want more knowledge. I was craving all her tips and tricks by the end of the class. She knows what she is doing. A good hands one experience. Walked away with a smile. Learned many new things and also relearned a few things with a different approach. Very enjoyable evening. Wish I could take all her classes.

Juliane Ross: Diane will simultaneously teach, inspire, and entertain you. Her approach to sourcing quality, accessible ingredients is what makes her recipes the best. She’s kind, curious, and a great local source for food hacks and insider info on the best producers. While learning to make dinner, I learned tips that will change the way I shop and cook. You can tell she loves to learn and innovate while she teaches her students to do the same. Highly recommend! We Will be back!

Paul Meitler: with Diane - first a tour of the Pikes Place Market and then an INCREDIBLE evening of awesome food. Learned so much! Diane is incredibly engaging and fun - you can't ask for a better host. I would recommend this experience to everyone. Enjoy!

Canlis: what do users think?

jake devlin: A phenomenal experience and an absolutely must do if you are looking for fine dining in the area. Service and presentation were amazing and the food was full of flavor and meticulously prepared. My guest was a pescatarian and was easily accommodated.Parking: The parking lot comes up quick and the turn around is pretty far out of the way so be careful when approaching.

Sherry Fan: out of all the fine dining places in seattle, this doesn’t necessarily have the best food, but it undoubtedly has the best service and atmosphere. i appreciate that there is a formal dress code as it really elevates the ambiance of the meal. the service is truly unmatched; you feel very welcomed and the staff takes care of every aspect of your experience. the view is probably one of the best in seattle. however, for the price point, the food is merely good. there certainly were dishes that blew my mind, but this was maybe 2 out of the 10 dishes we tried. the drinks again were good, but not particularly special. again at this price point i would expect the food and drinks to be more singular.

Girish Shekhar: On my first visit to a fine dining establishment in Seattle, I was treated to a truly exceptional experience. Despite the set menu, the staff graciously accommodated our requests, showcasing their dedication to personalized service. From the moment we arrived, the valet and welcoming staff set the tone for a memorable evening. Each expertly prepared course was a masterful fusion of rich flavors, with every bite a testament to the chef's culinary artistry. The entire experience was a symphony of warmth, elegance, and gastronomic delight.Note : This is not a traditional dining experience in Seattle so make sure to dress up with suits, sport coat and dresses.Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian set menu.

Chris Roach: Absolutely incredible dining experience. Was fortunate enough to attend a dinner lecture series in the upstairs section. Some of the most delicate and delicious cuisine I have ever had. Most amazing salmon I have ever tasted.Dietary restrictions: Staff were very considerate and careful to ask about dietary restrictions and offered vegetarian/options for their set menu

James Edward:

Art of the Table: what do users think?

Jesse C: Art of the Table is a wonderful experience. Their menu chances every few weeks so you'll always get new food. They can accommodate for vegan or any other dietary restrictions too. Their vegan tasting menu I had was the best meal of my life. My partner had the regular omni meal with two upgraded courses, one with caviar and one with Wagyu tenderloin that she also loved as. They offer an excellent wine pairing as well. The atmosphere is great. Cozy, not too loud or quiet, and the staff is very friendly and incredible knowledgeable about every dish.Vegetarian options: Every dish can be made vegan or vegetarianDietary restrictions: Every meal can be modified for any dietary restrictions.

RT Shaw: . As much as I would have loved to tell you the details of each plate, it was overwhelming and just flat out amazing. Depth of flavor, crunchy, soft, chewy, hot, cold, spicy, comfort, refined, and on and on and on...amazing food. It's all prepared at the open kitchen if you want to marvel at their chef prep skills too. For those looking for a night out with not only quality food, but also some of the best service ever. Must experience.Vegetarian options: Tell them your dietary restrictions and they will accommodateDietary restrictions: Vegan, vegetarian, no red meat, allergies, preferences

Hyunseok Gil: I was extremely impressed with the fish dishes that the restaurant offered as alternatives for those my family couldn't consume. The quality of the pre-main courses was so high that, by comparison, the main dish appeared somewhat average. Both the service and the food reflected fine dining standards, yet the ambiance was comfortably relaxed, which made our meal more enjoyable. The only drawback was the absence of a designated parking lot, which was a minor inconvenience.

Archipelago: what do users think?

Aileen Alon: Incredible and unique dining experience from start to finish. Loved the history, fresh ingredients, attention to detail, and warm service. I don’t eat meat and they were super accommodating. Everything was delicious. Hard to get reservations but worth it - I highly recommend Archipelago. Salamat!Dietary restrictions: They are very accommodating of dietary restrictions and will call you before your reservation date to confirm.

黃玉麟: This is not a regular restaurant. They do Philipino tasting menus and only take online reservations. They open on certain days of the week and serve only two dinner seatings on those nights. The food is interesting and tasty. However, the portion is on the petite side, so if you're hungry going in, you probably won't feel full coming out. The chef and staffs are friendly and very attentive. As the tasting menu goes, it's more about the experience, the stories, the influences, and the inspirations on the food.

Elizabeth Garcia: , and it felt like we were visiting someone's home. There are thoughtful touches throughout, like family photos and dried wreaths. The food was some of the best I have ever had the gift of enjoying! I loved learning about the important Filipino members of the Seattle community. I cannot wait to come back. Special thanks to Olli, Carlena, and Aaron

David Wakazuru: Wow! I tried for a long time to get reservations, maybe a couple years. I finally set an alarm for the minute reservations became available and I snagged a spot for two on 1/20/24, back in November. The wait was long but I am so happy with everything about this restaurant. Exceptional food, service, atmosphere and did I mention the food? Every one of the 12 courses was spot on. Perfect taste, texture and presentation. Sure, the price is sky high, but if there's one place you must try in Seattle, this is it. If I had to come up with one negative, it would be that the portions are tiny, and most people would leave a little hungry. But don't let that scare you away. I will definitely return, over and over again.

Obie King-Bagley: Archipelago might be the best restaurant in Seattle, full stop. Definitely a high-end meal, the tasting course functions as an experience in addition to the meal. Throughout the modern takes on Filipino dishes, you learn about the history of Filipino immigration in Seattle, and the lives of said immigrants. I liked most of the dishes, the only one I wasn't a fan of was the bread course, though I don't like mushrooms to begin with, so it was already facing an uphill battle. The juice pairing was also unique and excellent, and overall I was very impressed with Archipelago.

Chelsea Otakan: and grew up on Filipino food.As others have mentioned, the service, presentation, storytelling, and atmosphere are all top notch. I had very little knowledge about Filipino culture in the PNW and Seattle area and learned a lot. For example, Carnation condensed milk, a Filipino pantry staple and a brand I few up with, was located in Carnation, WA.For those who are complaining about the ingredients

Ben Wilson: Loved this place! The food was amazing and combined with the family-style service the experience was over the top. I loved learning about the local Phillipino experience and culture. Since they only seat about 12 people at a time, the service is intimate and immersive. The story telling uses music, narrative and pictures, and is super interesting and well done!Vegetarian options: You just let them know your dietary requirements and they customize the meal for you. Fantastic!

JuneBaby: what do users think?

Robert Williams: Outstanding experience. Perfect setting for a intimate private gathering.Highly recommend JuneBaby!Vegetarian options: There are lots of fresh vegetables on the menu.

Kennisha Payne: I don’t know where to start. My friends and I ate here last night and OMG 10/10!! The food, the service, the atmosphere. We all left saying this was the best dining experience we’ve all had. We ordered the biscuits, pimento cheese, fried oysters, smoked carrots, catfish, oxtail, gumbo, Mac and cheese, carrot cake, and peach turnover. This was some of the best food I’ve had from a restaurant in a very long. Everything was cooked to perfection and you could taste every element that was paired with each dish. I wish we would’ve took photos but we ate and left no crumbs just like they did preparing our food. I could go on and on but I will end with this, if you haven’t put June Baby on your list to try, you need to and while you’re at it put it at the top.

Eden Hill Restaurant: what do users think?

Laura Klipp: Eden Hill was such a a mind blowing experience. I have celiac and they took such good care of me with amazing gluten free food in a group of 4. The shared plates gave us an opportunity to try a bit of everything and when the group ordered items that weren't safe for me they gave me safe versions to try whenever possible. They were truly just so kind and caring about the food and the experience they served up. I can't recommend this place enough! Definitely will be back anytime we're in Seattle.

Xiaojing Ji: We went there for birthday and New Year's Eve celebration. The service is great and the restaurant has a relaxing chill vibe. Food was fresh and creative. Trio and Oyster both had great balance of various ingredients. Their Wagyu zabuton was probably my favorite - tender and juicy, mushroom on the side had a refreshing and earthy taste. Though I wasn't a big fan of their dessert, it was too sweet in my opinion. The Foie Gras Torchon was just so-so.

Shelby Hunter: The tasting menu is the way to go! Perfect place to celebrate our first anniversary! The whole staff was so kind and knowledgeable. I asked the bartender to make me a mocktail that would fit the tasting menu and she completely nailed it! The food was all delicious and so experimental and fun! We plan to go back at least quarterly to see what else they come up with!

Adam Sternberg: and it was amazing! We always have a great time in the quaint small spaces of the restaurant, with the amazing servers racing around under control. If you are lucky enough to get either of the two 2-top tables on either side of the entrance, you know what I mean.

Parker White: . I could have built myself a multi-course vegetarian meal out of the existing menu and been absolutely satisfied!Dietary restrictions: They’ll ask for and honor dietary restrictions and food aversions within the tasting menu, or help guide you to appropriate a la carte options and customizations that fit your needs!

Denise Tanaka: The atmosphere is lovely, small restaurant, quiet, staff and service top notch. Cocktails were really delicious and well presented, and the dishes presentation was amazing. We didn't order the tasting menu, and maybe we've picked the wrong options. The tartare was a mix of a lot of things, too many flavors going on. The pig head candy bar, I've read such amazing reviews, but for me, it was a weird combination of flavors and texture I couldn't finish, too sweet. I was a little bit disappointed. Maybe I would come back to try more normal options or the tasting menu. I saw the tasting menu around, and it looked really interesting. The highlight was the service, ambiance, and cocktails.

John Arwine: One of the best things about Seattle. Check out their website to see what they do. They are recertifying their kitchen and should have it open Q2 on 2023. Check them out!

Mr Potter: What a great organization. This is a WIN-WIN idea if there ever was one. Kudos to all the folks at FareStart who are every day rolling-up-their-sleeves helping others learn how to roll-up-their-sleeves. This town is far better for your work.

Billy Ellis Jr.: I think we're all lucky, those of us who currently live in plymouth housing, to have an organization like farestart making and delivering food on the daily. My favorites are the campfire stew and the meatloaf sandwiches. Yum! But theres a couple things that are note worthy. One, not everybody can eat raw onions. And the raw onions are in everything. Too much onion in everything. Two, half the people in plymouth housing dont have teeth. So putting apples and pears in the sacks is not cool lol. And why is there vinager in everything thats a salad? Thats it. Oh, nobody eats the little bag of carrots. Thank you so much for making awesome lunch and dinners for us! You guys are awesome! Wont forget it....😁

Pete P: Great food for a great cause

Sam Irwin: Best place ever

Al Raine: Cause if ya don't know.....now ya know

Matthew (Dexter): Very good menu. Also a wonderful place if you are trying to learn culinary arts. Stop by or call to volunteer to serve the homeless.

Brent Kohler: Fare Start has been kind enough to deliver sack lunches to my building in this time of need. Thanks so much, guys!

SJ Cook: It's more than a meal or a food. It's a moment, an experience, a conversion, and a vision. Or just good food and service. No pressure. Your call. Just go.

COMMUNION Restaurant & Bar: what do users think?

Regina McCoy: Booked our 5:15 on a Tuesday reservation a month out. The place was buzzing as we wove through a crowded and cozy lounge. Three different parties sat at the same table that looked like a dining room table your grandma would have. The kind that you only get to sit at on holiday’s. The open kitchen fed into the familial atmosphere. Lauren Hill sang while folks sipped on cocktails that seemed too pretty to drink. We were hungry. COMMUNION cooked. We shared 2 appetizers and 2 entrees and 1 dessert. This was the portion size recommended by our server Nyles. If we had to pass on a dish, it was the #HoodSushi. It wasn’t bad, but dimmer than the other plates. The wings were crisped to perfection, and the collared green sauce augmented every bite. The Laotian Scotch Eggs offered a flavor profile unlike anything I’ve had. The Gumbo tasted as if it had just deplaned at Seatac from New Orléans. The bread pudding was the perfect finale to a symphony of flavor. Flavor is something they do not joke about, wait until you see the gallons on their seasoning shelf.Congrats on the James Beard nomination. It was well deserved. We left with a jar of Seez.

Annette Bailey: It was hard to get a reservation but it was worth the wait. Our server told the four of us to order the small plates and entrees family style. Everything was unbelievably delicious. Loved the hood sushi, greens with neckbones, pork chop, mac and cheese and stuffed trout. The gin and tonic was so tasty. We completed the dinner with bread pudding. I recommend Communion!

Irina Yeltsova: to the food

Pat V: Great vegan foof, nice wine pairingd

Elizabeth Smith: Amazing food, ambiance, and overall experience. I had the nonalcoholic pairing, and my husband had the alcoholic pairing. I thought the nonalcoholic drinks were even more special than the alcoholic ones. The food was excellent. Every course was unique and delicious, especially the lasagna and dessert. The ambiance inside was cute and cozy and felt upscale but also comfortable. We sat on the upper level near the kitchen, and it was fun to be able to see what was going on in there. The service was great. The price makes this a special-occasion experience for us, but it was certainly memorable.

Joule: what do users think?

Trypp Adams: Wow, the food here is amazing. The recommendations and feedback I got from the bartender was mediocre. I was feeling adventurous so asked about the octopus, she compared it to steak... it was a little chewy like I expected but the salty richness of the bacon and greens made for an amazing combination. She didn't think the octopus would have been enough for me so suggested I order something else. I went with the Steak tataki salad, which was great. The basalmic, steak and hearts of palm offsets the sharp taste of the greens. More food than I needed but it was all amazingly delicious. Everything I ordered was fantastic.Parking: Parking is a challenge unless you pay to put it politely.

Douglas Sum: We booked in advance seeing that it was a recommended restaurant and we could only get outdoor seating. This is fine since their outdoor patio was heated and has a big fireplace in middle and blankets if you need. Gives a very different atmosphere than inside. We had the beef tartar and the mussels to start. Rich velvety beef tartar with a light crispy cracker was a great way to start our meal. The mussels were amazing, each one was so fat and juicy. Ask for a slice of bread to soak up the sauce after. Then came the main event, the short rib steak. My goodness was that one of the best steak cuts I've had. I always liked ribeye, but the Korean short rib was just as fatty and tender. Definitely a must try with the housemade sauce.

Conversation, a Downtown Seattle Restaurant: what do users think?

Rachel Veniez: . The dishes came out on beautiful plates and the presentation felt fresh. It’s a great spot right by the market and I’ll for sure be coming back when people come to town and visit! Also shout out to Martha for providing wonderful service - she was very kind and explained the menu well.

Sameet Sapra: Very well done eggs benedict! The ham, the hollandaise sauce, egg, and muffin had great flavors and good textures, the muffin was soft and fresh.Food: 5/5 …

Michael G. Barash: Hotel restaurants can so often be an underwhelming experience, but happily Conversation is excellent. The food is delicious with inspired ingredients, the cocktails are great and innovative, and the service very attentive. But beyond that, I must say that the atmosphere at Conversation is special. I don't honestly know what it is, but coming for dinner in the evening, it just feels so relaxing and intimate. The gentle lighting, the bronze silverware, the glow from the windows, maybe it's all these things and more, there's just an attention to detail that makes itself known subliminally that just makes dinner here wonderful. They also do breakfast which didn't leave the same impression on me. I'd much more recommend dinner.
