Bateau: what do users think?

Marina: Been here twice for special occasions. Most recent was a birthday dinner with four people. The atmosphere is very nice and multiple servers per table ensured the drinks kept coming. They work on a whole animal approach meaning the cuts of meat run out as the dinner service continues. So if you want all the cut options make your reservation for early dinner. This is a fun place for special occasions.

Sarah G: I have sensory issues and they accommodated my needs, which is a huge deal. We got put in an area that was a little more private and I appreciate them taking the time to do that. Food was excellent and well thought out, steaks were cooked to perfection, and wine choices were superb. We went for my mothers birthday and they gave her a small candle and a hand written card. Staff wished her happy birthday and were nothing but kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. There were so many thoughtful touches to our meal it made the night truly special. This is hands down the best restaurants in Seattle.

SY Lee: . A delightful meal. I’d suggest making reservations in advance. They also have a tasting menu for $125 pp, might check that out for future.

Stavros Macrakis: that the tasting menu gives you two different cuts, one more tender, the other more tasty.Surprise! The non steak dishes were as good as the steak! Nice variety, nicely composed. They only have four red wines by the glass -- I wish they'd have more -- but I've got to say that the Cahors was one of the best I've ever had, and the St Émilion was also good.

The Butcher's Table: what do users think?

Robert Murphy: Beautiful rustic style restaurant. The food is good, we enjoyed ourselves but I wouldn’t come back and pay the premium prices here for what we got. Everyone’s steaks were cooked properly and were tasty but nothing amazing. The sides were a little odd - most notably they don’t have mashed potatoes. They have some potato variant but it was saturated with vinegar. Same problem with the chimichurri sauce I ordered - vinegar vinegar vinegar. Last note, some Bruce Wayne type gentlemen in a suit was milling around and was just odd as he stared at everyone.

Anna Mascio: I love this place! It is a wonderful steak house with gracious service and tasty steaks. We often enjoy the bar where the house burger and the martini's are delicious. Start with the chicory salad. Crunchy and full of flavor, a salad you don't find on anyone else's menu.Justin, the GM is engaging and happy to accommodate any request. One big plus, is street parking! There are usually plenty of spots available directly outside the door.If you are in the mood for a delicious perfectly served steak, this is THE spot!Thank you crew of Butcher's Table, we love you!

Bre (killaBreezplays): Really lovely place. My partner's sweet chicory salad starter and 12oz ultra flight with added bone marrow was lovely. I started with the spot prawn toast, which was delicious, and then chose the scallops with a side of the charred cabbage. The scallops were delightful at first, however quickly realised the dish was slightly unbalanced with salt overseasoned in the dish, which made it tricky to finish. I'm glad I had a white wine to go with it. It just needed another acid to balance it out. They were cooked beautifully though, and perhaps a different side would have been more appropriate. Overall the experience was lovely and I'm glad we went. I was not disappointed. Just wishing I wasn't so fussy about salt. Atmosphere was great, and service was stellar, even if we weren't necessarily dressed for the occasion; the staff were super friendly and kind. Highly recommend.Note: I have medical reasons I can't have red meat, which is why I went to a steak house and had seafood.

Juliette Cannon: We’ve been to BT numerous times and always enjoy it, the food is amazing the service is impeccable! This latest visit was a bit under previous experiences in timing of dinner delivery and the temperature of the steak was incorrect. With grace and humility, the manager came to visit the table and work to correct the situation. Justin went above and beyond to correct and we greatly appreciate his and Kelly, our server, efforts to correct the situation. They more than compensated for the kitchen error. Mind you, we’ve been many many times and this is the first blip and correction! By far the best steak in town and stellar service! Will always recommend to anyone who asks. Thanks Justin and Kelly for the service, hospitality and enjoyment of our special dinner out.

El Gaucho: what do users think?

Bud Cashatt: Literally one of the best dining experiences you can have. Food is amazing, service is outstanding and they personalized our anniversary dinner. Highly recommended for special occasions.Dietary restrictions: If you call ahead they will source and prepare a halal steak for you!!

Chelle Allen: I rarely give 5 stars, and ElGaucho deserves 10. From the valet greeting, to the hostesses, the menu with my man’s name on it for his bday, to the perfect table overlooking the fire, to the rose petals on the cloth, to Luca, our server extraordinary. Wow! Our meal was perfectly prepared. Best steak I’ve had in Seattle. The two gentlemen who filled the water and cared for our table were attentive and friendly. Cesar and another person. When it came for dessert- which I saved room for- the bananas foster was prepared by Kirin, the GM. It was so smooth and delicious. Amazing. My guy got a tour of the kitchen he enjoyed and we may go back to learn how to prepare the bernaise sauce. So, if you have a chance - go. I will most definitely be back. Thank you, Luca, Kirin, and Cesar. I felt so beautiful and special last night. Jonathan too.

Julie Sturdivant: Top notch all the way. I typically do not like steak in restaurants as I feel there's nothing like getting a steak out of my freezer and making it myself. The chef at El Goucho knows how to cook a steak! And the banana foster...oh my, mouth watering!Parking: Quick and easy, they park and bring it back to you at the front door

Angelina: We visited El Gaucho for a birthday celebration and were pleasantly surprised by the rose petals on the table and the customized menu. Server was extremely knowledgeable, he mentioned he had chef experience and could guide us through recommendations, and very friendly, and food was very well cooked. The Caesar salad was a fun experience; it was served tableside and our server explained each ingredient as he added it. Prices are definitely on the high end, but we both considered it worthwhile for the quality.

Nicole Smith: My husband and I ended our trip with this dinner, and it was everything we could’ve wanted. Service is phenomenal, and all the food we ordered was amazing. Definitely start with the lemon beurre blanc scallops!

Cafe Campagne: what do users think?

DeBuen Diente: Nice restaurant one block from the market, the dishes are good and varied, the quality can improve, the drinks are good, the most recommended is the madame sandwich, the waiter's attention was excellent, the service was a little slow since there were quite a few people, the Prices are good for a tourist place, nothing outstanding but a good option for breakfast

Michael Senkow: Was quiet at lunch, would recommend for a quick work lunch.

Naima: This place is tucked away adorably at the market. I thought, well it's so close to the market it must be a tourist trap? Nope. Guess it's been around too long to be such. Delicious authentic food, coffee, and a bright atmosphere with considerate staff members. One of few memorable meals had in my week in Seattle. My colleague recommended this place. Will be recommending to others! Thanks.

Aneka Zarger: I loved everything about this location. The food was delicious and their offerings have something for everyone. The food came out fairly quickly considering how busy the location was. Our waitress and the sommelier were both helpful in answering questions about pairings or dishes. I highly recommend trying their sipping chocolate as you may overlook it! While the venue is smaller and can get a bit loud due to acoustics, they do a fairly nice job of maximizing the space they have.

John Hicks: Amazing food. Will definitely come back

Canlis: what do users think?

jake devlin: A phenomenal experience and an absolutely must do if you are looking for fine dining in the area. Service and presentation were amazing and the food was full of flavor and meticulously prepared. My guest was a pescatarian and was easily accommodated.Parking: The parking lot comes up quick and the turn around is pretty far out of the way so be careful when approaching.

Sherry Fan: out of all the fine dining places in seattle, this doesn’t necessarily have the best food, but it undoubtedly has the best service and atmosphere. i appreciate that there is a formal dress code as it really elevates the ambiance of the meal. the service is truly unmatched; you feel very welcomed and the staff takes care of every aspect of your experience. the view is probably one of the best in seattle. however, for the price point, the food is merely good. there certainly were dishes that blew my mind, but this was maybe 2 out of the 10 dishes we tried. the drinks again were good, but not particularly special. again at this price point i would expect the food and drinks to be more singular.

Girish Shekhar: On my first visit to a fine dining establishment in Seattle, I was treated to a truly exceptional experience. Despite the set menu, the staff graciously accommodated our requests, showcasing their dedication to personalized service. From the moment we arrived, the valet and welcoming staff set the tone for a memorable evening. Each expertly prepared course was a masterful fusion of rich flavors, with every bite a testament to the chef's culinary artistry. The entire experience was a symphony of warmth, elegance, and gastronomic delight.Note : This is not a traditional dining experience in Seattle so make sure to dress up with suits, sport coat and dresses.Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian set menu.

Chris Roach: Absolutely incredible dining experience. Was fortunate enough to attend a dinner lecture series in the upstairs section. Some of the most delicate and delicious cuisine I have ever had. Most amazing salmon I have ever tasted.Dietary restrictions: Staff were very considerate and careful to ask about dietary restrictions and offered vegetarian/options for their set menu

James Edward:

Metropolitan Grill: what do users think?

Chris Blackburn (blackbuc911): Decided to have a “treat myself” night and have A5 wagyu for the first time. I wish I remembered my server’s name, but they were incredible in answering all of my questions and provided great explanations and suggestions on what I could choose from.I had 2 cocktails, but the A5 Old Fashioned was the stand outThe food was perfect. Slight mishap with my how my steak’s cooked, but was immediately recognized and corrected by the staff. The quality of the meat was like no other and I feel provided me much more than I expected from the experience. To end, I had the Crème brûlée, which was the perfect ending to the meal experience.100/10! I will be back

Spike: An absolutely amazing experience. Easily in the contending for the best steaks in the city, great service, and a luxury feeling atmosphere that does not feel cramped or overloaded. We had 4 different steaks that were all fantastic in their own unique ways. One of the steaks was undercooked a bit from what was ordered while another was overcooked from what was ordered, but they were all very good regardless. The sides were hilariously large and a delicious complement to the slabs of meat that we had.Our server was absolutely fantastic, we enjoyed their service. The only reason I didn't give 5/5 stars for service is an interaction that we had with one of the sommelier. One of the women in our party had ordered a bottle of wine, it was a wine she was excited about finding on the menu. Instead of the sommelier having her taste it, he had her husband taste it, who could do well enough to ensure it wasn't spoiled, but that is not the point.

Ashlee Hathaway: We had a delicious dinner at the Met. We started with the steak medallions which were seasoned great with a generous portion especially for two people. For dinner I got the lobster which was huge and cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were delicious, as well. My husband got a steak combo which came with a filet, American wagyu filet and a Japanese ohmi filet, all 4 oz. It was a great way to taste the difference of all three and was a ton of food. Came with choice of side.We got a birthday creme brulee for dessert which was a great finish.Great scotch and whiskey selection and a huge wine menu. They have valet parking but since it was Sunday we took advantage of free street parking. Reservation was easy to make online. Love our dinner.

Stanislav Gates: From hostess, to waiters and waitresses, to the kitchen staff, everyone went far and beyond to meet our special needs at the table. The food exceeded our already high expectations. Lamb, steak were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sides were very generous and worth the price.Expect to spend around 140 USD per person with couple drinks each, so it should be considered for special occasions, since it is not on the cheap side. With that said, it was worth every penny, and my friends and I are looking forward to coming back here again in the future.Dietary restrictions: The restaurant has gluten free menu per requests.

Quinn's Pub: what do users think?

Patrick Conlan: , great burger, good pretzel with Welsh rarebit. And super friendly staff.

Tom Elwood: This is not your ordinary pub. Beautiful tall ceilings, huge windows, and excellent cuisine. The "Bourrata" for $15 is what I consider to be a perfectly balanced dish - complementary flavors and textures in a pleasing presentation. The very fresh and gooey bourrata is drizzled with EVOO with flavorful basil, while the generous serving of prosciutto is thinly sliced and boldly flavored, with the crostini adding a perfect crunch. Everything in just the right proportion. Also had the Spanish shrimp, which had just the right amount of heat in the rich buttery sauce with chili flakes and paprika.

Dampier D: . They do have baby chairs, fyi!Service was great. It's all QR code

Benjamin Manne: Great little spot for elevated pub food right in the heart of Cap Hill. The drinks were excellent. We were a large party and ordered nearly every appetizer. All were stellar. The mains were mostly good aside from the fried chicken sandwich being inconsistent. My friend and I each ordered it. His was perfect. Mine was tough and stringy. Quinn's would do well to pay more attention to chicken selection. All in all though, a good experience and I'd certainly return.

Lark Restaurant: what do users think?

Danielle Minick: Not the typical fine dining experience you expect for the posted website/pictures. The waiter did not ask about any diet restrictions, we have a severe nut allergy. The atmosphere was nice, quiet, pretty. The food was good, nothing that "blew our minds" and their four course menu is the best option. It was our anniversary dinner and they did give us a complimentary celebratory drink, which was nice but one of us doesn't drink alcohol; another point of asking questions can be good service.

Linda McLoon: Lark is a small fine dining restaurant in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. It is beautiful inside, with lots of wood. The atmosphere, as you might expect at a restaurant from a James Beard award winning chef, is serene and upscale. The craft cocktails didn't appeal to me. I opted for a glass of rose wine. At $17, it is not cheap. My companion and I both had the hamachi crudo. He asked for it to be spiced up, and they gladly accommodated his request. The fish was lovely, and the dish was very citrusy with preserved lemon, lemon oil, and green olives. It is served with thinly sliced fennel in the lemony dressy. For my taste, I found it a bit too sour, and it definitely overpowered the delicate fish. I ate the fennel and lemon as a salad, followed by the fish separately, and this gave the hamachi a chance to shine. My companion was very happy with the elk dish, which was served as a chop and as a crepinette. The taste I had of the elk was surprisingly tough unfortunately.I opted for the agnolotti. It was served with fresh spring peas, fiddlehead ferns, favs beans, and credenza cheese. Needless to say, the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the vegetables were the essence of spring. It was sauced in a very butter-rich, highly acidic sauce. While it was fine, I found it way too sour and it took away from the other ingredients. It was a pity, as I generally love "sour".The desserts we had were sensational. I had the rhubarb galette. The pastry was flaky, and the filling was just the right level of sweetness. The blood orange sorbet was fantastic. I would love more of that. The prices are steep. My pasta was the least expensive item on the menu, at $38. The portion size was fine, but by no means big. The elk chop was $56. The hamachi was $26. You expect this at a "fine-dining" restaurant, but it is definitely on the more expensive side. The service was impeccable. The interior is beautiful. The food was fine, but not at the highest level I would expect from a restaurant with this price point.

Patrick Conlan: One of Seattle's best restaurants. Hyperlocal, hyperseasonal, and always tasty, beautifully presented, and interesting. My Spring Leaves were dressed with a citrus vinaigrette, my Agnolotti were cheesy, creamy and softly chewy, and the fiddlehead ferns were tender and fresh.Great service in a beautiful space as well.

Alyssa Gonzalez: and the Oaxacan torte.I do want to give Lauren another special shout out because she made us feel so welcomed and offered incredible hospitality. As the AGM of a restaurant myself, she’s definitely a gem. She even took the time to write a list of places we should go and see, all of which we are experiencing today. I really want to tell her thanks for the incredible experience!

Charles H: Amazing dinner here with friends. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The only complaint was the emmer bucatini my friend's fiance had didn't have much ragu and was all pasta.Otherwise the "chowder", bread service, elk loin, and duck leg my wife and I had were excellent. Cocktails were tasty as well and definitely recommend the bag pipes in Barbados.

Yoshi W: We went to Lark for the first time for our 18th anniversary. Even though it was a very cold, snowy night, we really wanted to stick to the exact date to celebrate. Many restaurants in Seattle these days are kind of packed with tables, narrow, and very noisy. We were hoping to get a quiet booth, and we did. The spacious inside, pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, very tasty food and friendly workers, made everything perfect. We are quite satisfied and happy. Thank you!

Tom Elwood: The lobster bisque poured tableside looked beautiful but didn't get rave reviews from the 3 who had it. The elk was incredibly tender and umami-delicious and flavorful, and the roasted cabbage and kasha

Brian G.: to share and each one was excellent. For our entrees we had the bucatini and the crab bisque and shared those as well. Loved them all! The smoked beets and the crab bisque were our two favorites of the bunch.

Kimberly Pham: it will leave a dent in your wallet. If you don't want a set tasting menu you will need to ask for the bar area. They recently reopened after two years of Covid shutting down so go support them, folks.

The Walrus and the Carpenter: what do users think?

Barrett Brooks: We were in town for an evening for a Justin Timberlake concert and went straight to Walrus and the Carpenter upon getting to town. It was the perfect happy hour / dinner before an evening out.The oysters were fresh, varied, and delicious. The other fish dishes were excellent - especially the grilled sardines. And best of all, there were real, hearty vegetable dishes on the menu, which are often hard to find at restaurants. We also enjoyed the drinks. Ambience and service were great. In fact, they managed to make it feel like you’re right on the water even though you’re not.

Vivek M: Absolutely fantastic. The food speaks, the food soothes and the food satisfies.Probably the best seafood restaurant in Seattle. Probably the best seafood restaurant in Pacific Northwest. Better than any place in Portland or San Francisco.Wish they had Sancerre for pairing by the glass and more choice of mineral white wines for pairing with absolutely delicious oysters. Very little choice on wines by the glass, hence 4 stars but the food was 5 stars including the best selection of Washington oysters.

Matt Tatoczenko: The Walrus and the Carpenter is a fun experience. I've heard it's a great place for oysters, so we needed to stop in.The restaurant is in the back of the address you go to, but isn't hard to find. It's on the smaller end, so expect to wait if it's busy. We came around 6 on a Saturday and luckily got a table right away.We got two of each of the seven oyster types they had, which were delicious. We also got the scallop and albacore crudo. The plates were small, but the flavors were delicious. We also shared a cheese plate, which was the same as the crudo plates, small but flavorful. My thinking is that you shouldn't come here if you're starving, but do come if you want some delicious food.Drinks were good as well. Well made. I didn't like the flavor of mine, which was a gin drink, but that was my fault for the poor choice for my tastes. Our only complaint was that the interior is loud. I felt like I had to shout at times to talk. Other than that, we had a great time.Parking: Paid parking lot next to the building and free street parking.Kid-friendliness: Kids can come. No kids menu, but if they can enjoy some seafood, they'll be fine.

Daniel's Broiler - Leschi: what do users think?

Jeff Hinman: was attentive and so informative of all the establishment had to offer. I had the Kubota Pork Rib Chop which was tasty, but my fiance got the Jidori Chicken which was DELICIOUS. The brussel sprouts are so good with the jam on them too. The staff were nice enough to bring us a nice coconut ice cream for our anniversary and it truly was a wonderful night. Would definitely visit again next time I get a gift card or if I get a lot of money.Parking: There are reserves spots from 7 am to 5 pm so you should be fine for dinner.

__: Stopped in for lunch on a beautiful warm & sunny Mother's Day. We had hoped to sit outdoors on the deck but its still under construction. No matter, we were seated indoors by the picture window with a spectacular view of the marina and Mt Rainier. We went for burgers and a salmon sandwich. The burger was an inch thick sirloin patty, so meaty and juicy and so satisfying to eat, and so hearty that we could only manage to eat half. The salmon burger was perfectly cooked, tender and flaky, and so fresh. It came with tartar sauce on the side but it didnt need it, I just ate it plain. The lobster bisque is so decadent and rich and flavorful. It seems like its literally a cup of cream with lobster & seasoning mixed in.I would definitely recommend Daniels for any special occassion, and the Leschi location is without a doubt a wonderful venue that you will remember.

Dianna Wu: . Initially, we'd been hesitant about whether we could take our two young kids along, but given Daniel's has a kids menu we decided to take the plunge and went early

Heather A Adams: This is one of the DB’s that happens to be on the water, unlike the Bellevue location. It doesn’t necessarily have an unobstructed view of lake, Washington, as it is sitting in a marina, but if you get the right table, you can enjoy some of that atmosphere. The sun doesn’t shine on this side of the lake at happy hour/sunset, but it is still a lovely location in a lesser known neighborhood. The food and drinks are the typical very pricey steakhouse level that you will find.

Nisha Joglekar: Great place for a date-night or a fancy meal overlooking the water. Food was delicious and the service was great. Special mention to our waitress and the cooking staff for - we casually mentioned we would be sharing all our dishes and when we got our mains, they were split and plated on 2 separate dishes, even our soup. We were not expecting it, but appreciated the gesture.Definitely try the bacon-wrapped scallops and the clam chowder.Reservations recommended, especially for dinner.Parking: There is just 1-2 spots marked for the restaurant in the open parking lot. Otherwise you can find street parking outside or a few blocks away or there is a paid parking garage.

Kokkaku: what do users think?

Nia: The Wagyu Ragu

James Wald: so they didn't need any extra sauce. The Australian Wagyu NY Strip was cooked perfectly and was delightfully tender, with a nice grilled flavor. I didn't care for the potent sesame steak sauce. Overall, this is an impressive restaurant for the size and their attention to detail is noticed and appreciated.Dietary restrictions: No one asked, and it didn't seem like modifications would be made if requested

Anna Louie: We think the food is just alright and nothing too special. The service was also really mediocre as well. I do like the location, the ease of parking and the vibe of the restaurant, but I probably wouldn’t come back for the food alone. I have to say, though the happy hour menu is one of the best ones in Seattle if you’re looking for budget and quality.

Heather Wang: hoooooly all the food was SOOOOOO GOOD!!! every single bite was met with pure joy... so so so so so tasty. the service was unmatched- so friendly and attentive!!! it was like they could read my mind and knew what i needed before i asked. but honestly even if the service was bad i wouldnt care because the chef's talent is absolutely INSANE. the food... omg...... i cannot emphasize how YUMMY everything was. everything from the drinks to the desserts were so delicious. also everything is very fairly priced! my partner and i got the tasting course for $45 per person. with drinks our total came out to be around $120 without tip. when i left i had to unzip my pants because i was sooooo full. so worth the money!!! thank you guys so much and see you again soon! 😄😄😄😄💞

Catloverextreme _: and it was a pleasurable experience. Great modern jazz playing at a comfortable level on the speakers and pleasing lighting and ambiance. There were 2 servers and 2 chefs. The servers were so friendly and knowledgeable. The kitchen was open so you could watch the chefs prepare everything. I've cooked in this setup before in restaurants so my only gripe was at one point one of the chefs was on his phone...he used gloves while preparing the food but nothing will take me out of the moment and potentially gross me out more than a food service worker on their phone. Who knows, maybe he was checking his Bitcoin bag, it's been pumping lately, lol. I won't fault them for that, everyone is glued to their phone these days. This place is wildly awesome and I will be going back whenever possible. I'm not from the area, visit alot from Alaska so the neighborhood was not familiar to me but it was chill and safe feeling with other restaurants and bars. I was staying in the downtown area so it was about a 35 dollar uber ride one way. All in all 10 out of 10 would highly recommend.

Brimmer & Heeltap: what do users think?

Naomi See: Can not say enough about how good this place was- the bread, clams, well- really every single dish we got was true perfection. So thoughtful about flavor pairing, so generous in portions, and the perfect comfort meal that the PNW offers- fresh ingredients, unique flavors with wholesome dishes.Everyone should go here- one of the top two restaurants in Ballard. Honestly way better than a lot of the others on various lists.Check it out and you will be back every week.

Michael Saunders: Unfortunately they charge a 5% extra-price fee on top of everything, which makes it even more expensive than it seems. To me that feels a bit underhanded and sneaky even though it's mentioned somewhere in the menu. Why not just be up-front about it and raise the menu prices? The food is excellent. Best item is the simple bread and butter but most of the menu is also great.

Le Pichet: what do users think?

Tiffany Jorgensen: I've been coming here for around twenty years. The food is always consistent and lovely. The service goes above and beyond. Granted this was about a decade ago, but one time my child left their bag and they held onto it till or next visit. Which was several weeks later. They have always done a great job, even when it's busy or the guest is less than stellar. So glad you guys didn't close. Thanks for everything. Your hard work is noticed and appreciated!

Hak Williams: What a gem. I believe this was Anthony Bourdain's favorite restaurant in Seattle. So French and simple and unassuming. If you love chocolate you can't leave Seattle without trying their hot chocolate. It's the most chocolate and heavy cream you can combine into one sip. You can go for a light lunch or a late breakfast or an afternoon coffee and dessert, or you can go for dinner. The whole chicken for two looks like a smart bed, and the fish is always a good idea. The charcuterie and cheese is also a winner. The steak frites was very good, but it doesn't beat an American Steakhouse kind of steak if that's what you are into. The wine by the glass is 4 or $5 more affordable than other nearby restaurants. In France this would be considered a bistro, which is on the more casual end of the spectrum. But there may be no exact equivalent to France because this place serves more than one function. It's a cafe, a bar, and a bistro. If you're in the area and need a little pick me up you can go in just for a hot chocolate or a coffee. Their espresso service is top notch. I was having dinner there late last night and a couple came in and just ordered a whiskey and a hot chocolate as their nightcap.

Michael Cook: First and foremost a restaurants priority is to serve good food, and this place made up for a multitude of sins by having really amazing, tasty, well prepared/seasoned food that is being done by a seriously competent back of house staff. I had the steak frites, and it was one of the best steaks I’ve had, and was perfectly cooked rare to my preference. The chicken tartine was beautiful, my companion had the fish of the day and it was incredibly seasoned and sauced. Beautiful food. The service though was awful, we weren’t greeted for about 10 minutes in a tiny restaurant, all the staff looked at us but didn’t say anything. We were forgotten about a bit, the staff seemed more interested hanging out with the lush at the bar who seemed to be taking all the air out of the room.We asked for our bill, the server dropped it off, changed her clothes and left. We then waited half an hour to pay, and finally were acknowledged and told we had to give our cards to them, as if we should've known. The 20% automatic gratuity is a flaw, theres no motivation for the server to love the table and go the extra mile, they just phone it in. The way it’s put on the menu is that the customer is paying for their benefits and commission, and if we feel the service isn’t up to 20% it’s up to the customer to ask to have it removed. That’s just bad business and an unnecessary duty to put onto the customer. But the food was amazing, and that’s what’s important, and what saved the whole experience

Maximilien Restaurant: what do users think?

Daniel D. Akerele: Food was great. It’s expensive though. Found here when I was searching for a romantic restaurant. The staff are friendly and you have to make a reservation to eat here. You have the French feel.Parking: It’s generally difficult to find parking in pike place. If you can use the bus or Uber , it’s the best shot
