The brisket suadero tacos and the albacore tuna tostada were 2 of the best dishes I've ever eaten.Also got white asparagus ceviche, seared scallops, chicken en mole, and both desserts. Everything was phenomenal.The vibes of the restaurant could not be any cuter. You feel like you're in your grandma's house but *aesthetic*.
Denise Tanaka: This restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with a modern vibe and friendly service. The tuna tostada was delicious, though a bit fatty, the tuna dissappearin the middle of the fried tortilla, avocado and sauces, but it was as good as the ones we had back in Mexico. The Tetelas were new to us and we had a delightful discovery, with the nixtamal masa stealing the show. The half chicken with mole was tasty, though a touch of freshness like cilantro or sides would have been nice. Overall, the food and cocktails were impressive, and the unique masa and tortilla offerings set it apart. Can't wait to return and try more dishes! It's rare to find such quality masa and tortillas in the area. We read a review on the infatuation website criticizing this place is not constant one day amazing other day bad. I guess we were lucky and enjoyed a really delicious dinner.Congrats Janet Becerra your food is superb! I was unfamiliar with the differences of masa, and I was able to taste the difference.

Danita Day: Wonderful meal with attentive service. Highly recommend reservations. I made reservations in early January before the James Beard nomination, so I'm not sure how difficult it is for reservations now. We shared the tetelas, which was delicious. Had the mole chicken and poblano cream scallops for entrees. Perfect preparation and flavor. We shared the chocotamal for dessert. The only suggestion I have is not to use a rag that has a disinfectant solution or a scent to wipe down the table after taking our dishes between courses. The smell was pretty strong, especially if you were sensitive to chemicals or fragrance.Parking: Neighborhood with street parking generally close by.

Steven Zopfi: We’ve eaten at Purple a couple of times now and we’ve been impressed with the service and the consistent quality of the food. The decor is urban chic with an impressive wine tower that dominates the great room. I started with a Purple salad which was delicious. I moved on to one of the dinner specials, which the night I was there was a mushroom gnocchi in a cream sauce. It was rich but delicious. The proximity to theaters and the quality of the food and service make this attractive restaurant an easy choice for us when we visit Seattle to watch a show or a concert.

Chris E: First time visiting, during a trip to Seattle. We stopped in for happy hour. We were able to get a table outside. This restaurant is located in the Edgewater Hotel, on the northern end of the Seattle waterfront area. Happy hour prices for drinks are a couple dollars off. And they have a limited food menu. I ordered the wagu sliders, which came with garlic fries. Both were very good, in my opinion. And made a good meal. The weather was fantastic, so that made the experience even better.

At this point its been more than 20 minutes and the wind had picked up so me and girlfriend just walked up to the reception area and waited for someone. Whoever runs this place really knows what they are doing.I don’t know what happened to seattle restaurants lately, but they all seem to miss the mark on what makes a restaurant experience good. They all think the same thing, “lets make it a fun atmosphere!” Which ends up meaning they just make everything loud and annoying. Even if the food is good, its a headache because everything is a hard surface and the music is always at max volume.That brings me to Loulay.This place hits the mark on every point. The noise level is PERFECT. There are enough soft surfaces, and the music level is low enough that the place feels cozy and inviting and I can actually hear my wife talk without having to raise our voices, which makes us want to stay longer and order more drinks. Not to mention the decor is lovely and not too busy.Which brings me to the drinks, I don’t know the name of their bartender but I hope he never leaves. He is a genius, I have never had cocktails as delicious as the ones I had at Loulay, and they don’t rely on being sweet either, they are just good!And then there is the food. You can really tell that the kitchen really cares about what they are doing here. Everything is cooked perfectly, the presentation is always good but not uselessly complicated, and of course it all tastes great!Definitely coming back as many times as I can and will always be my first choice for a nice occasion of food and drinks.

Jon Lange: We love to watch Sounders games here. Plenty of room and tables. Lots of nice German beers to choose from, and even has choices for a non-meat eater. Ryan Chavez: This place is a great little restaurant. Get a reservation while you can! Dinner was fantastic! This place runs like clockwork since there are two chefs making all the food. It's quite a feat! The French Onion Soup is so cheesy and sweet, highly recommended. We followed it up with the Spring Salad which was refreshing. Our main entrees were the Halibut and Pork Tenderloin. Both were so delicious. The pork was light yet hearty and the fish a perfectly crispy skin. The servers were super friendly and personable. From the moment we were greeted by our server, who was impressively friendly without being artificial, to his insightful explanations about the nuances of Piemonte cuisine against other part os Italy, the service truly stood out.Although the tarjarin, their specialty, wasn't quite to my taste due to my personal preference for thicker and al dente pastas, the nettle risotto was absolutely divine, elevating my dining experience we never had such delicious risotto before. The cocktails were expertly crafted, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening.While the milk pork was a bit unconventional and leaned towards the sweeter side, it didn't quite hit the mark for me but it was wellk prepared. I'm intrigued to explore their dessert offerings on a future visit, as there was unfortunately no room left after our satisfying meal.The ambience, with its tasteful Italian-inspired decor, transported us to Italy, enhancing the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. Stanislav Gates: From hostess, to waiters and waitresses, to the kitchen staff, everyone went far and beyond to meet our special needs at the table.The food exceeded our already high expectations. Lamb, steak were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sides were very generous and worth the price.Expect to spend around 140 USD per person with couple drinks each, so it should be considered for special occasions, since it is not on the cheap side. With that said, it was worth every penny, and my friends and I are looking forward to coming back here again in the future.Dietary restrictions: The restaurant has gluten free menu per requests.

C. L.: There aren't enough good things that can be said about Altura.From the moment you enter the restaurant and the hosts greet you with a warm and friendly hello and ask to hang your coats. To sitting down and having a small hot towel brought to clean your hands. A delicious aperitif brought to start your night. Every interaction is polite, attentive and professional.We have gone to Altura for my birthday two years in a row. We will be going again for our anniversary in two months.Both experiences, the food and presentations were beautiful and delicious. Each menu was a different experience with a few staples we loved from our previous visit. Everything is amazing, there wasn't a single item or dish we were even slightly disappointed by. The same can be said for the drinks, wine and dessert.A perfect place for a special night out. They've made my birthday feel really special each time and we're so happy every time we visit. Coonoor Behal: This place is out of this world, I can't believe I don't see it on more "Best of" lists for Seattle. I prioritize "event meals" in my life and this is easily in my top 10 ever. Was fortunate enough to get off the waitlist and take my parents there for Christmas Eve and it was a delight start to finish. Food is just jaw-droppingly moan-worthy, every single item took our breath away. I got the wine pairing and loved it...they for sure snuck in some extra wines for me too but didn't make a big deal out of it! Service is lovely and clearly professional but also relaxed. Love the look of the place too, more like a taverna rather than a stiff, white table cloth place you'd imagine at this price point and quality.

Anna Burton: Tried this place for the first time today and it was fantastic. Phenomenal food and top notch service.I personally recommend the cauliflower fritters, mushroom risotto, or the vegetable stir-fry. Also, for dessert, the chocolate lava cake was incredible.

Buck R: We went to hear an artist that we don't know, and she was quite fine. It was our first time. Easy to get to for us, great setting for music and dinner and drinks. The service was excellent from the moment we walked in until we left, we felt welcome. The food was very good. The Seabass was perfect and cooked without butter at my request. My companion's Pork Tenderloin was very good, if a bit overcooked, with a great glaze and delicious vegetables. We each had a salad, an appetizer, an entree, a cocktail and coffee and heard some good music for $200 before tip. We could have likely done it for half that if we weren't splurging.
