Nijo Sushi Bar & Grill: what do users think?

Janet T: If you want fresh sushi without breaking the bank plus ample choices for non-sushi eaters, this is your place. Sashimi portions are large, tasty buttery soft and chilled. Huge selection of fancy rolls both raw or cooked. Tempura batter was really light. There were only two servers during dinner but hey it was on a public holiday and they were great. There's seating outside and inside which is nice. I'm sure the cocktails are really good during happy hour. The neighborhood is near Pioneer Square so can be a little sketchy after dark but it's worth the visit.

Isabela Rosa: Delicious sushi! Top notch!

Dariul Darkstar: Great sushi. The sake was also delicious, but a tad on the pricey side. Worth it though.

Rares Cheseli: Ate here with some friends. It's a very nice place to have sushi. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Also, the food was tasty with large servings. One of the best sushi I have had. Highly recommend.

Jami S: Enjoyed the omakase and solid sake menu.

Chris Davis: .Green tea was very pleasant.

Bailey Lenzen: Got a table for 8 at 530 on a weekday by walking in. Dumplings are not to be missed. Very good! Liked the first ave roll. Japanese curry also was good. Decently priced. Plenty of options for non sushi fans as well. Restrooms are down the hall and clean.

Anthony ANDERS: Great rolls, good service and cool dining room.

Samuel McAleer: Came here with my partner for a much needed night out.The 45 minute wait for a table on Friday wasn't so bad as we went to Locust Cider. Once we were notified our table was ready, we headed over. The food was amazing. We ordered the chicken karage, DFR roll, Volcano roll & Agedashi tofu. Food was delicious and the sake was A+.

Sushi Kashiba: what do users think?

Sheila G: Lucky to get upgraded to the counter seat so as able to see how Chef created the sushi pieces for us. Such engagement definitely made the whole experience completed and satisfying! Very fresh fish but I personally would prefer more flavored sushi rice. Overall great experience, portion, service, view and I’m glad that I choose adding three more pieces - a bit fatty but amazing!

Aburiya Bento House: what do users think?

MICHAEL MCKAY: , and we were absolutely impressed with the freshness of the fish, and the quality of the cuts. A couple of non-nigiri stand outs included the delicious shrimp shumai and one of the chef's appetizers, that had several fishes, avocado, and more all in one tasty bite, and the Aburi tower is a can't miss.. We had some great toro, scallop carpaccio, uni, I could go on. If you are in the market and want some really fresh and tasty food in a non-touristy environment, this is the place.

Tengu Sushi Japanese Restaurant: what do users think?

laura cook: Grab and go sushi that tastes so good, but for three people the tab here can easily be as much as $100. The shrimp tempura bowl could have been bigger too. Not too many people so that was a little interesting feeling like we had more space then normal to grab what we wanted from the conveyor belt. Some of the top price plates were worth it. Also please never go into a Japanese restaurant thinking you are going to get stuffed. Ideally you want to be satisfied which is just one level down from full. This is one of the secrets the Japanese people use to not be overweight.

Joe Campbell: For a conveyor belt sushi it is good quality, fairly expensive price.A few new menu items like warabe mochi and some cheaper veggie rolls are greatly appreciated. Salmon used to be a steal here for the quality, just fairly priced now.Unrelated but saw what seemed to be the head chef be a little dbag-y to a prep cook. Didnt reallllyy effect my experience, but felt bad for the guy lol

Special Echo: OMG! The sushi was fabulous! It was so fresh and delightful! We ordered ikura, masago, tabiko, hamachi, chu toro, kampachi, seaweed salad - it was all so excellent! We'll be ordering again!Food: 5/5Recommended dishes Sushi …

Kisaku Sushi: what do users think?

Tracy Tran: Our chef Richard and his teammate that night were amazing! We did Omakase at the sushi bar and felt so taken care of. His mastery and creativity with his fish combos was amazing. Every bite exceeded the last one we had and I didn’t think it could keep getting better. Loved the yellow jack, uni, the ora king salmon, toro flight. The prices were so affordable for something that you would find in even the fanciest edomae places right now. I had 19 pieces and it was less than $100! The vibes in the restaurant were neighborhood-y and fun.I will 100% be back. If you go ask to sit with Richard!

Ginte La: Ok Japanese restaurant with attentive service and decent dishes.

Momiji: what do users think?

mathais johnson: , Spicy Tomato Tofu, I e Creams, and sooo much more

Marco: I’ve now been three time times and love it! More importantly, their happy hour is the best since it’s also on the weekends. Solid food, great atmosphere and awesome service. Their casino roll and their halibut cheeks are my favorite. On their happy hour menu, the poke bowl is freaking tasty for a perfect price. I highly recommend their leeche martini too! I don’t recommend their spicy ginger chicken though.

Anushka M: Delicious rolls and noodles! 12th Ave roll and the yakisoba noodles were amazing and definitely a favorite from our group. The noodles were spicy and very flavorful. The 12th Ave roll was delicious with shrimp tempura and spicy tuna. We also ordered the Madison roll but weren’t huge fans of it. Other things we ordered were the miso soup, rainbow roll, and the crunchy cali roll. Service was great and the food came out fast. We also ordered the jasmine tea and hibiscus berry tea. The center garden area in the restaurant is beautiful and the overall ambiance is very calm and inviting. Overall a great dinner!

Musashi's: what do users think?

Munsy Man: The nigiri dinner pieces are HUGE!

Charlie Depman: Makes me want to move closer to make this my local spot. Amazing sushi at reasonable prices - wish I could eat more in one sitting. The nigiri were more generous than I was expecting. The atmosphere is pretty barebones and you order at the front but overall it comes across as charming and you’re really there for the incredible fish. 100% will go back and would recommend.

William Yang: Got Musashi’s for takeout. Really decent portions for the price, and very, very generous with the sushi rice. At some point my tongue became numb to the flavors, it was just an onslaught of fish and rice, but getting a chirashi here is less about a fine dining gastronomical experience and more about a sizable chunk of decent quality fish at a reasonable price.

Wook Chung: It's been 12 years since I last visited Musashi's. Back then, it was genuinely a joy to enjoy a wholesome bowl of chirashi for a mere $15. The best value sashimi ever. In 2024, I was surprised to discover that Musashi's was still open! The tiny restaurant, that only accepts cash, survived COVID.And yes, the food is amazing as ever. The same chirashi is now $18, but again, jam packed with value. I was surprised they had only raised it by $3 over a decade. Fresh fish well cut, jam packed with value and flavor. The sukiyaki bowl was also well done with tender and fatty meat cuts. And yes, theses would be one of the fattest California rolls.Again, Musashi's is all about value and serves the local UW community well. The only downside is that because the store is so small with so few tables, your experience is practically destroyed by rambunctious neighboring tables.Oh, and they accept credit card now. Finally! If you haven't yet experienced Musashi's, it's time you do. Avoid the crowd and pick slightly off times.Parking: Good luck finding parking. You'll have to go to parallel streets and see if you can secure a spot. Very very tough.

Matthew “Buck” Buck: Great as always! Amazing food. The prices have increased here, but i feel that the quality and size of the pieces of the fish make it totally worth it. I wish they were closer to my house. My one MAJOR concern is that in a to-go order, they put factory packets of soy directly on top of my freshly cut raw fish... 😞 ... there is no way that they are sanitizing each soy packet before they drop it directly on raw fish. That means that on top of my raw fish is everything that that packet has touched since the factory.... GROSS! PLEASE CHANGE THAT PRACTICE! PLEASE!

Japonessa Sushi Cocina: what do users think?

Sayd Hussain: Удивительные сушиОсобый путь шеф-повараКокосовый пирог очень вкусный

Diana J.: I guess this is more about my personal taste, since obviously this place is popular. If you love traditional japanese food like me, stick to the raw sashimi. We ordered the popular Emperor's signature roll and chirashi bowl. They put tobiko on top of slice jalapeno on the roll. Totally kill the mild flavor that I love about tobiko. The yuzu sauce is good but also kill the sushi flavor. I think fusion is not for me. The chirashi bowl was okay, standard. I may come back for other dishes.

Sushi Kappo Tamura: what do users think?

Dan Partain: . However, the ingredients and expertise needed to make high quality sushi are very expensive too. It is absolutely worth it for a nice occasion and I considered the full dining experience to be a good value.4. The gratuity is included in the check!Vegetarian options: I wouldn't make a special trip here if you are a vegetarian - Sushi is mostly about the fresh fish after all. But, if you are invited, there is a decent variety of vegetarian rolls.

Miki: My most favorite sushi restaurant in Seattle! I am always impressed by the fresh ingredients and great service! The presentation of each dish shows the thoughtfulness of the chefs. The knowledge of a long time waiter, Edward, is amazing and appreciated. This restaurant is on the pricey side so I usually go for special occasions, but when I do go, it’s worth every penny! Most recently, we ordered the 3 course dinner and had Bara sushi as our main dish. It was so fresh and beautiful!

RussKristi Kawasaki: It was nice when you used to be able to walk-in, but for good reason SKT has grown in popularity so I would recommend to always book a reservation or you may not get a table. It has a great mix of traditional sushi items, as well as unique offerings that we can't find elsewhere. We used to always order à la carte but recently tried the omakase and the slight variations are awesome.

Maneki Restaurant: what do users think?

McKenzie Billeaudeaux: , a delicious cold dish perfect for sharing.Service was also very lovely, our waitress was sweet and friendly and also had great taste in music.I would say this was an affordable dinner, especially considering the quality of the dishes. We cannot wait to return!Parking: There is a paid parking lot directly behind the restaurant however BEWARE when entering the lot off of S Main, especially if you have an average to lower set car! The pavement there is busted and the decline is steep, the bottom of your car will get hit! There are additional ways to enter the lot from Maynard Ave.

Sainyane Xiong: Amazing and authentic Japanese spot! Felt so cozy and felt original. The food was amazing and the service was very good. The portions are worth the price. The sashimi in particular was fantastic. The fish was prepped so well and beautifully and just melts in your mouth. Some of the tables are small - so some of the meals are hard to fit in small seating spots but it wasn’t horrible to rearrange some things.Eat here!

m g: .The selection of non-traditional fish was excellent and the hand rolls were well balanced and not soggy. They even had all the ingredients to make an authentic futomaki. This place is definitely worth a trip much less a stop…. You won’t be disappointed.

alyssa duff: We go twice a month and every time I love it here even more. The presentation of the food is incredible and it tastes even better. The people that work here are so great at what they do, the service is top tier. Watching the guys at the sushi bar.. it's art and they are so fun to talk to. Best miso and karaage I've ever had!! The line seems long when you walk in sometimes but they get you seated in under 10 minutes.Absolutely worth it to check it out!!Bento box is my favorite way to go

Anjel: Definitely something for everyone, salads, soups, and seafood. The dessert bar had a build your own crepe station as well as a variety of cheese cakes. Though I would avoid the mac & cheese. It was more of a flavorless noodle cheese soup. Other than the dust on the decor and food on the walls, the flow was nice and easy to navigate.Parking: Shared parking with neighboring business.

Mashiko: what do users think?

Marco: which was my favorite dish. The curry-don was really good too. There was no bad dish. Prices were also reasonable. Definitely worth the stop.Parking: There’s a decent amount of free 2hr street parking in front

Munch Kin: , we won't be able to come back again. My partner is allergic to msg and one of the people who worked in the kitchen warned us that they use msg in a lot of things. It never gave him issues before so we thought it would be okay.It seems they changed how they cook though. The food still tasted amazing, especially the sashimi and the Tuna on Snowshoe? I think that's what it's called. But there was also so much msg in the food that couldn't be separated from everything else that my partner got a nasty migraine. And this was with them aware of his allergy and changing what they could. This really does hurt because this was *our* place. It was one of our first dates and where I proposed to him. But I just can't put him through the migraines anymore.- - -OriginalAs amazing as ever! We had the Sushi-Ya and asked for sake to be paired with each dish. There's the option of more common dishes like tuna and salmon or more exotic dishes, and we chose a mix. They managed to have a great balance, though I don't recommend the exotic options unless you're feeling truly adventurous. Amongst seered cod and King Salmon sashimi, we had shrimp heads that had the exoskeleton removed

Maggie McLouth: After an incredibly difficult month and a half following the unexpected passing of my father, and going through this grief while in graduate school, my husband and I needed a nice evening out. We had been to Mashiko before, but it had been several years. We love Japanese food, and Mashiko in general, so we happily sprung for the sushi-ya omakase dinner with sake pairing. If I had video of the happy chair dance I did whenever Mat, our server, brought out our food, I would include it here. Everything was delicious, the sake pairings were excellent, and I was able to relax and have some quality time with my husband for the first time in a while. The restaurant is intimate but still private and not overly-loud. The food is fairly priced given the focus on sustainability. I have never had a bad experience here, but this one made me so happy I wanted to share. Eating good food can be a healing experience, and tonight it certainly was. Thank you Mat and the wonderful chefs!
